There were some veiled words about knowing self worth, loyalty, and respect. He said what he needed to diplomatically. He wanted to be there, he knows his worth, the team wouldn’t show him loyalty or respect. No matter what his performance looks like in Nashville, he deserved more loyalty and respect from Tampa. Other players won’t forget how Stammers was just discarded. Stammered deserved better from that team.
Rules don’t allow loyalty in the nhl. They’d need to add a salary cap reduction hit for players that were drafted and played 10+ years for one club for loyalty to exist.
So if they would've overpaid for a aging player how do you tell the other stars on the team sorry you won't have a chance at a cup because we have to overpay stamkos and waste years of your career
God ESPNs coverage of the NHL blows. The guy talking about Stamkos you can hear it in his voice he could not care less about the sport and is just reading script and can tell they don't follow the sport. They don't even show the guys and it cuts the other guy off mid sentence at the end. 😂
No, that would be if they made no changes in the off season…. Ya see, they were a first round exit this season, but with the new, amazing additions, they should shoot to the forefront of the playoff discussions….
@tangofett4065 You would think so. But The division still has Dallas and Colorado in it. I just see them signing players on the other side of being good. Time will tell we could both be wrong and right. I like what Nashville did just think they got way to old
@@SteveMcbrain Nope not salty at all. Why carry things over I am just stating facts the central is just to good Nashville got better but not overwhelmingly better
