I predict that the next iPhone won't have usb-c. It won't show up until the next to next iPhone. I also predict that the next Pixel will be 0.1" larger than the Pixel 7.

I've tried the iPhones (used the 12/12 pro and currently using the 11 pro) and can't wait to go back to android. But all the phones are big. I'd love a 6 inch / 6.1 inch pixel. That would be the dream.

@@BloodScientist I'm using the regular 12 right now. While it doesn't lag or crash, it is maybe the most boring phone I've owned. It's also slightly uncomfortable to hold. If I'd get a new phone now I'd probably get the regular Pixel 7.

The point with the size of the Mac Pro is the expandability with PCIe cards. You could make it as small as the Mac Studio, if you remove all expandability options.

Marques and his team is pretty out of touch with tech, even though they're a "tech" channel. The most demanding thing he runs on his "Pro" devices is FCP, which can easily be handled by even a base model M1 MacBook Air. He also thinks an RTX 3090 is for gaming.

@@edde3244 no one buys an RTX 3090 for gaming. people buy it for *insert GPU demanding workload* but also game on it on the side. it’s more akin to a Titan or a Quadro in all but naming.

I’m a truck driver for Amazon. I often drive around the Bay Area (am here now). I can attest that Rivian trucks and (Amazon) vans run the streets around here. There is an Amazon Hub next door to a Rivian service center and it’s pretty rare to see a Tesla around that part of SF.

can you guys do a review of 2 wheeler EVs. Currently in India there is Ather and Ola S1 which are very popular. There are more coming out and these set themselves apart mainly due to low total cost of ownership once you account for the subsidies. The market in India is especially huge for this and new players are entering it and innovative things are happening.

Are they even available in the US? Vehicles aren't like reviewing phones because you can't just get an Asian-market vehicle into the US without tons of regulatory workarounds that usually aren't worth it.

@@panikk2 for the life of me I don't understand why it's opt-in anyway. You can just make people "opt-in" at the intial set-up anyway; it's pretty much what Apple does with iMessage. Apple will never implement it, as I doesn't affect them, positively or negatively. Only way I ever see them implement it is if SMS just dissappears/discontinued from carriers (and that's a stretch as many services use SMS (like alot of 2F, or those message you get for info from bussinesses) or it is mandated by government (which will also never happen).

What Frederick Douglass reference are you saying? For zoomer references though, I think this is what they’re saying: L = loss w / “dub” as in the first part of “double-u” = win To give someone an L or to make someone take/accept an L means declaring that they’ve lost that bet or said something wrong.

L was a form of measurment, similar to a foot. they would measure a forearm, and when you measure it a person holds their arm in the shape of an L. Im not sure he coined the phrase, in fact I would be surprised if he had, but he said it in one of his more famous speeches. when i hear 'take the L' or in this case 'give him the L', I always think of him.

He made a video on this and I agree with what he said. Apple doesn’t have to comply to the usb c law for a few years, so they will continue to make lightning iPhones while they figure out the perfect port less iPhone, and then they will release the port less iPhone when the usb c law kicks into effect. That allows them to then make another ‘bold step’ just like with the headphone jack, and also make a bunch of money off of mag safe chargers.

I think the challenge with external GPUs in the ARM space is that a majority of workstation or desktop GPUs run on the x86 instruction set. Apple are quite good at emulating x86, but doing so would be illogical for a hardware component like a GPU. You would waste a lot of money on performance that will be lost to the Rosetta 2 stack. On the bright side, Nvidia have had recent breakthroughs with ARM-based GPUs for servers. If they were to repurpose some of these learnings into a workstation product for Apple Silicon, that would be amazing. Lets just hope that Nvidia and Apple can burry the hatchet. They really don't get along.

The PCIe bus is not dependent on CPU architecture, and theoretically any GPU should just work fine assuming there are drivers for it and hardware support. I think the problem is just that there are just no Nvidia GPU drivers for ARM Macs. Or I don't know, I've never written PCIe or desktop drivers, maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

iPhones will not get a fingerprint scanner. Apple would be the only company with TWO methods of secure biometrics and that would force other companies to step up their game. I’m going to guess Apple and other companies have made a deal for Apple to not implement that tech otherwise it would’ve been done by now.

@@jiphinhere well, Apple has the only secure Face unlock system and other companies have fingerprint scanners. Apple isn’t going to get rid of their Face ID since they’re the only company to have it so that means they would have to be adding the FPS making them the only company to have two secure biometrics. That would basically force everyone else to convert to two secure biometrics since that would be a huge advantage for Apple but since they haven’t implemented at least a power button mounted FPS, I wouldn’t be surprised if they worked in agreement with other phone manufacturers not to; creates more competition in the phone market.

@@God_0f_Death I don’t think Apple will ever add FPS, it’ll give them a bit of a monopoly in the phone sector. Other companies can’t make a secure face scan so I think it’s part of a deal with Apple not to implement it.

I've have a question for everyone how supports the EVs. Is there any way to recycle the batteries of the cars? The reason why I'm asking is because if everyone change the cars to electric the lithium waste of the batteries will be much worst than the ozone print of non-electric cars. Of course I will support any company that could make a greener planet, but now a days, this isn't the case.

@@kewonevans my Camry on 87 octane and 14.5 gallon fill up does 500 miles easily. That's only 34MPG which is bellow average for my car, I can regularly get 37-40 and this is a non hybrid. Any hybrid CAN EASILY go 600+ miles So yeah. Until a 25k electric car can do 500 miles...it's pretty much worthless. I can go from one end of my state and back without stopping. And that matters. If you live in the city it's not my problem because the vast majority of Americans don't. And america drives the world economy. And considering there are tens of millions of Camrys and corollas out there, that should be the benchmark. And yes, tens of millions. The Camry surpassed 10 million global sales back in 2013. Let alone today.

@@singular9 most Americans definitely live in cities. And while I recognize that Camrys have great range that is not most cars. Also Camrys are not sub 25k cars. Sub 25 is a carolla, Nissan Sentra, Kia soul… you’re not going to get 500+ range out of those so I think it’s a far reach to expect a sun 25k ev to do it…
