The one thing we did beat the Rockies at was premature enlightenment. Does anyone remember after the first game where they lost 5 - 4 the quote "that guys were getting after it" 😂 on the bright side a goose egg followed by a off day with a lineup shake up should break the algorithm for the better 🙏

Manny not batting 4th is a shakeup. Batting 5th is not much of a demotion, I wouldn't look at the change that way. It's important that Manny get fixed. He actually wasn't playing that well but not that badly either until the series against Colorado. But more important is how the starters pitch. Regardless of the Padres offensive problems, only the last game was a real goose egg. The Padres offense has scored at least 4 runs pretty regularly, have averaged 4.7 runs per game this year and that ordinarily should be enough to win a lot of games if the pitching holds up. So, IMO that should be the real focus... Not too much the offense but getting the pitching improved. There are a lot of young and inexperienced arms that haven't been performing reliably and although I'd preach patience, I'm getting a bit concerned that it looks like the same pitching mistakes are being made again. Maybe a more practiced eye than I have might recognize improvement but a process is supposed to avoid repeating mistakes and I'm not seeing that.

Cambiaría a tatis, machado o bogaerts, cualquiera de ellos por betts. A machado lo hubieran dejado ir sin darle extensión machado no juega con garra y menos es un líder, bogaerts demasiados años de contrato, era seager o trea turner para el short. Tatis una extensión para un jugador que tenías varios años de control. Sigo a padres desde el año 1984 y siguen con ese adn perdedor

Manny is not a leader and will never be all he cares about is the money and after he got the contract extension he knew he was set and stopped caring about winning anymore tatis and bogey same thing no leadership on this team and until that changes the padres will always be at the bottom of the division

Manny needs to earn the 3 or 4 spot. I see Manny sliding down the order more as the season progresses. But we'll see how the next few weeks go for Manny.
