Hi, I'm Ysis! I am Brazilian-born, living in the UK with my welsh husband and our baby boy, James, born in April 2015. I'm currently pregnant with baby number 2, due in March 2017!
My channel started as my creative outlet to talk about beauty & fashion, but it gradually became my online diary and a place where I share a little bit of everything, from makeup to pregnancy, technology, mummy and baby updates.

I lost my first pregnancy due to miscarriage at about 8 weeks. I will be 13 weeks tomorrow with my second pregnancy, I am slowly letting myself become more and more hopeful and excited. But it’s not sadly losing the blissful innocence as you said.

I think there is something even more devastating when you lose your first pregnancy. When you already have a healthy baby, losing to a miscarriage is still just as painful, but you know its possible for your body to have a successful pregnancy. This video helped me so much. Thank you so much. ❤️

Absolutely- i have had 2 miscarriages and no living children yet. Im 7 weeks pregnant now for the third time and because of my miscarriages, there is little joy and mostly fear, anxiety and panic. I wish I could feel the same happiness I felt before my miscarriages

This video was very well made! Thank you for talking about this very important topic. I have also had a loss, it was my first pregnancy at 16 weeks. I am now 27 weeks pregnant and still think about it sometimes, but trying to stay positive. I have also made some videos about this hoping I could comfort anyone out there in similar situations. Came across your video tonight when I was feel anxious & scared. I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant after miscarrying a baby early this year. It's so hard trying to stay positive and not think/fear loosing another baby but I just try to stay positive & pray. Already have two other kids helps as well and they keep me so busy that sometimes I don't have time to think about it, but it's nights like this where those fears creep up! Your video touched me & made me feel like I'm not the only one out there feeling these feelings and I'm not Alone! I just continue to pray & allow god to watch over my little one and just enjoy my baby and stay as positive as I can! My husband is big help with keep me postive.. Ysis Lorenna thank you, it was such a sad and hard time. I nearly lost my life and lost my baby and one of my tubes. It caused damage to my other but still managed to have both boys. I then had to have that removed too. I have a large caesarean scar and that's the only thing I have as a memory of what I lost. Thank you for sharing your story and showing that we can open up about how we feel ❤️

I had 2 losses until I can’t longer be pregnant by myself. Now I’m into dealing with the other options. Miscarriage kills a part of us and you can’t get it out of your memory. You live further with such moments. It’s really psychologically hard. I’m contacting one Ukrainian center helping me to break through I hope all of us will be alright !

I'm so glad to have found your video! I am currently 5+2 weeks pregnant and this is the day that I miscarried in my first pregnancy on the 28th December 2020. I have been so incredibly anxious that I'm living toilet trip by toilet trip, which makes me sad but I don't know how else to cope. It's also comforting to hear you say that you felt robbed of the blissful ignorance from having had a miscarriage in your first pregnancy. My friend is 26 weeks with her first and I have felt a slight envy at her for this, but I am glad to know that I am not the only one who feels this way. Don't get me wrong, I still love her to bits and am excited for her but this excitement for her has only really come since I found out I'm pregnant again as before it was too painful to think of her doing so well in her first pregnancy. Thanks for sharing your story. Watching your video helped to normalize and validate the feelings I've experienced since the miscarriage of my first pregnancy. I had a silent miscarriage last october and I'm currently trying to get pregnant again (with some luck I already am!) and it's exactly like you say, after a loss in your first pregnancy you lose that sense of innocence and go straight to worse case scenario all the time. Listening to your story really helped though, it's the kind of thing only someone who's been through it can understand, and yet for some reason, most of us just suffer in silence. Hi Ysis. I'm currently going throug a miscarriage, just had a d&c after 3 weeks of pain and unknown when it would be over. I too have the same feeling and wonder if I ever get pregnant again, I'll be in constant fear and worry something will happen, and that can't be good. Like tou said so well, you loose the innocence of it all. I've found so many stories and women who went throug the same that made my pain smaller and not a 'freak' because I've never heard of miscarriage like I had (anembriotic pregnancy). Thank you to share this, so many of us find confort in words from others. Hope everything is fine with your little people :)

I had 2 losses. One natural one ectopic. Right tube remove and then 3 months later positive again. Im pregnant about 13 weeks and i am so scary.Every day im worry aboyt all. My first pregnancy was blissful I ha my son at 41 weeks was unaware of the difficulties i would face fast forward to now 5 miscarriages all after one another and I am pregnant again 14 weeks tommorow I got super depressed and anxious abut it then at 6 weeks I stared to get sick and a glimmer of hope was there. Many women who experience pregnancy loss go on to have successful pregnancies. Once the pain of your grief subsides, you and your partner can talk about whether to attempt another pregnancy and, if so, when you'd like to try again. Another pregnancy might yield feelings of sadness for your earlier loss but it might also inspire hope for the future. Sharing with others who've experienced pregnancy loss either in person or online can be comforting. A clergy member or spiritual adviser may be another good source of advice or counseling. The baby's grandparents or other loved ones might benefit from similar support. If feelings of depression seem prolonged or you're having trouble completing your usual daily activities, consult your physician, a mental health provider or a grief counselor for professional support. Like in my case in Bio tex. Grief affects everyone differently. Don’t anticipate a certain length of time before you feel ‘normal’. Go with what works for you in the moment. Don’t rush. Whatever you’re feeling is normal, has been felt by others before you, and is not completely mad. If you need it, seek professional help to get through this.

Currently trying for a year after an ectopic pregnancy as well. This is the hardest thing to deal with on a daily basis. I hate getting my period, I hate knowing we lost a little life. I can't believe our bodies do this to us. The female body is cruel!

Hi just want to let you know that your baby will always be with you. Life begins at conception when the egg and sperm come together and cease to be sex cells but now a whole new unique individual human. Dr told me same thing about its not a baby yet. It plays with you mind. You know in your heart it was your baby. We are not pregnant with nothing. Praying for you. Am healing

There is indeed a loss of innocence after miscarriage. Even if you're educated and aware of the risks, nothing compares to the anxiety of being pregnant again after loss.

I am going through a chemical pregnancy now, it's so hard. People act like my feelings aren't valid because I had been pregnant for such a short time but after ttc for 17 cycles, it's horrible. Healing takes time. We are nearly 2 years further now and I am currently nearly 34 weeks pregnant with a perfectly healthy baby girl. It took a long time for us, but that's luckily not every bodies experience 💕

I had a miscarriage in february. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever had to go through, mentally and physically. It was so painful, those cramps/contractions are the worst. I am coping well because all my family and friends knew about the pregnancy and were there supporting me all the way. It’s was natural, no D&C needed. It was my first pregnancy, and I was given no reason as to why it might have happened... all I was told is that it is common for first pregnancies to end in miscarriage. It’s hard sometimes to move on because I wish they could have given me a reason as to why it happened so I could fix it. I fear the unknown. I wish I knew what went wrong. I’m not actively trying to get pregnant again because it’s hard to have a loss in the back of my head and fear of it happening again.

Ive recently had an ectopic, my 2nd pregnancy, and i was told there was a really strong heartbeat when they were scanning me, i was 9wks by the midwifes calculations, ill never get over it i dont think, i found you when i was researching what had happened to me, so thanku! ❤️ we are now about to try again and im petrified it might happen again! Thank you for your bravery in sharing this. I had two healthy kids, never a miscarriage until just earlier this year. I was shocked and heartbroken for this loss but also finding out how common it was and how few talk about it. 6 months later, I got pregnant again, I am 9 weeks and scared to breathe. I miscarried on August 21st at 8 weeks. It was my 1st pregnancy. I’m still hurt and the only way I can cope is through prayer and reading the Bible. The only person I can talk to is my mom. I know this video is abit out dated but I just wanted to talk about my pregnancy journey.. Dec 6th 2017 I had suffered an ectopic. I didn’t realize I was pregnant for the first 8 weeks and went to the hospital for pain all over my body. The doctor took a pregnancy test and told me I was pregnant that night and the next morning I was in surgery getting my little angel removed along with my right Fallopian tube. I ended up getting pregnant one month later unfortunately losing it at week 9. Since then, 26 months later. Getting nothing but negative tests for over two years and undergoing ANOTHER lappy in my left tube we have successfully gotten our bfp. I am currently 4w6d pregnant. Staying positive is something I am currently struggling with but I know god works in mysterious ways and will provide a healthy and full term pregnancy. (Trying to speak it into existence is somewhat helping) 💗

I had a miscarriage in December and am now pregnant again (6 weeks today). I have a 14 month old son so I know I can have a healthy pregnancy, so I'm trying to keep my anxiety with this pregnancy in check but it's hard.

I'm not sure when I lost my baby. There wasn't growth between the 6th and 7th weeks but there weren't a lot of specifics. It took about 6 weeks for me to actually pass the baby and the placenta got stuck in my cervix. After a couple of hours and fucking insane pain, I had to go to the hospital and they said I would've just kept bleeding forever. They suctioned out everything inside of me (not D&C) while I was awake for it and it was the most helpful but traumatic thing as a rape victim. I just want to get pregnant again so badly but my partner isn't ready and probably won't be for years. the pregnancy was unintended but the biggest gift i've ever received. it's surreal that it's over and without an attempt in the future to look forward to

I was 4 weeks with my first pregnancy when I had a miscarriage in November. Now I am 4weeks 4 days pregnant again and I didnt even have a period in between. I have been very scared because I have been having light cramps and spotting but I realize that I need to be happy and enjoy my baby and stop worrying. I pray that my baby is born healthy and I need to focus on positive thoughts and enjoy it. Its ok to worry but I shouldnt let it dim my happiness. I have my first prenatal appt next week, I hope I can get reassurance my baby is ok.

My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 9 weeks. Second pregnancy had a son a year after my mother passed, its so difficult to go through this without your mother. I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant and nearly 6 years ago I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks...and as happy as I am that I'm pregnant, I feel like I can't be excited as all I think about is that it can be taken away from me, and I find it hard to picture my life with the baby because of the fear of losing it and it's ruining what is meant to be a happy time for me. My partner now is so excited and while I am I have a much more negative look on it than he does as he hasn't experienced this. I really don't know how to get out of my head about it. I've been to 3 reassurance scans already and plan to go to another before my 12 weeks because they always make me feel so much better but every day is hard. I feel like I won't be happy until the baby is here

I lost my last pregnancy on January 20th. I just found out I am pregnant yesterday. I was happy and excited and within minutes it turned in anxiety and fear. I can’t kick it. I want to be happy but I’m afraid. I have an appointment to talk to my doctor about my anxieties and get bloodwork done.

My plan this time is to just help get my immune system nice and strong, take prenatals, and when it come around to the time of us starting to try again I’ll start back taking the conceive plus pills. I believe they are what helped me conceive my daughter.

I notice that women are so selfish. They say: i went through this/that, i felt this and that ... lets talk about it! Cool... But nobody talks about the child who died suffering and this suffering is way beyond our "suffering"! Women go for another child... but is it right? Knowing that this child might die in suffering again or if you will give birth how can look at this child knowing that you allowed this child to come into this world but you couldn't save the other child!
