The comment from her mother where she says I'm gonna buy you maternity clothes and baby clothes made me smile thinking that is a typical mother thing. Mine will probably react the same. Am having my first house now and she wants to bring me a lot of things I need. She also has a key and when I looked in the kitchen drawer I saw she had it filled with some silverware and a soup mug I liked so much on one of the shelfs. Mothers are awesome
At first, you could see they were thinking, 'ohh, those punks! Making jokes and calling us old!' before the realization slowly spreads on their faces. I love this.
This is lovely. But I will never understand why, at such a moment, you would rather be holding a camera or have someone film you, rather than being in the moment and having hold of them! For posterity, I guess.
I wish I was genuinely capable of this reaction. When my brother got his wife pregnant, I was like "Yep." When they told me the kid's middle name would be my first name, I was like "Please, don't." Not really that surprising. Yeah, congratulations but not exactly a huge surprise unless a doctor had previously told them they were incapable of having children.
Why is procreation such an exciting thing? Most humans can do it, and some even do it accidentally. Objectively speaking, it has caused more harm than good.
