strong disagree @rob, she's the clever one. she not only married a doctor to ensure her pregnancies went smooth as butter, but one who can put the children to sleep. Muldoon would approve
Oh I am just so happy for you two!!! Thank you for taking us along on the journey and teaching us skills along the way. I’ve never been so excited about a stranger’s pregnancy!! Also big shoutout to your wife for letting you use her baby bump in your videos🤣❤️
The 2 things I’ve taken from this video. First - oh ma gaaawdd the baby is due so soon! And second, this baby is going to have the most glorious head of hair looking at yours and Beth’s lovely locks 👶🏼
Was kinda hoping half way through that Dr. Gill may realize it feels like triplets in there, just to see if he could maintain the calm and collected demeanor.
@@DrJamesGillI used to think this! Now as a father of a 2 and half year old and a 7 month old, I'm relieved we didn't have twins 😂, You'll love fatherhood, it's the most incredible experience and get better and better the older they get!
Looking forward to Beth presenting a video in a few months ----- "When assessing the physical state of a badly stressed new father, it can be difficult to get their full attention. That being said, shouting may be counterproductive......"
My doctor never explained what you have when I was pregnant. I would have felt a lot more secure had I received this level of knowledge. Thank you for this!
Great video! As someone who never personally had any interest in getting pregnant for sensory reasons but fully appreciates the process for those who want to I’ve always been fascinated by how things are tracked and what goes along with that from a curiosity standpoint so I appreciate the education. Best wishes on the journey to parenthood, enjoy!
Greetings from a Yank across the pond. Doc always enjoy your educational videos for asmr purposes. Congrats to you and the Mrs. May y'all have many wonderful and healthy years together.
Dios los bendiga y al mundo entero por más añitos aquí en la tierra y algún día por la eternidad Dios la cuida a esa mamá y al bebé bendiciones gracias por tanto amor❤
@DrJamesGill I don't know if you're worried about the idea of being a dad or if you're worried about potential medical issues. I totally get it if it's the latter, I'm really not looking forward to the stress of if everything's OK and it has led me to almost not want my own kids. You have to just let things play out. It will be fine Dr. Gill.
I’m currently a second year medical student who is 24+5. I constantly worry because I have final years exams coming up and when I’m studying hard, I’m so absorbed I don’t notice babies movement. I’m sure it IS moving, and I notice it just fine and regularly at other times. But the stress is making me study less which is not ideal with exams in four weeks… I also feel like my belly isn’t big enough even though all measurements of baby itself has been fine (I’m in Australia, I have my own OBGYN and she has ultrasound in her own room so I see it every time I go). It’s been a little small through the whole pregnancy but not near the 10th percentile so she isn’t worried. I just don’t know how to manage the stress and also feeling like I look too small! I’m quite a short person and I was a healthy BMI before the pregnancy and my husband is a 6’6” Viking so I thought it would be bigger… Any ideas on managing this stress? I worry about movements and baby being too small constantly and I don’t want to fail my exams.
I’m sorry, I’m not legally allowed to give advice here. This is not specific advice to yourself - I find that when the worries become a pressure speaking to an appropriate councillor or therapist can be very beneficial. Lots of Warwick students get anxiety and stress throughout the course, hence there are prominent adverts for medical student counselling in many locations there
@@DrJamesGill oh I was more talking about juggling real life and med school, I’d never ask for medical advice on the internet I know you can’t give it! I had a good debrief with my fellow students today though which helped a lot (my med school has mandatory weekly clinical debrief sessions with a dedicated group and a clinical tutor, I feel very lucky to have it!). Shockingly, I’m not the only one going out of my mind with stress it seems 😂
I’m also always concern about the size of my belly, but I heard that each body is different. Some people show more and some people show less. That’s why is important to go to a doctor for an ultra sound to do the measurements and making sure all is ok. Stress there’s different things to help with that. One of them is to take a nice bath 🛀 and relax. That works for me. 😊
To be honest, I’m make it even wider than that. If you are concerned about ANYTHING during a pregnancy, talk to your doctor. We’re here to help keep people well, not just treat disease. Giving simple reassurance - when appropriate - is such an easy win for a patient. It hopefully stops that anxiety, and also builds trust just to call when worried. Pregnancy and children should frankly have an open door policy.
Hi Dr. Gill, I am currently in my 36th week, coming into the 37th. How come you have Dr. Mrs. Dr. Gill lay completely flat? Is there concern there, or only if she were laying there an extended period of time? Are the growth charts routine in the UK? In the US it's just been a quick measure. How many ultrasounds are there generally for a pregnancy in the UK? Thanks as always!
Hello, have you ever done anything on Vitamin D? I suffer from chronically low levels and I struggle to keep it elevated even though I take it in 3 forms (2 of which are by prescription) I would love to understand more about it
As someone who was told at 38 weeks my baby's head was enganged, head down and had ended up having an emergency section because she was actually breech.. I believe nothing about baby position! 😅
because you don't want any reader bias e.g. if you already know how many weeks they are pregnant, you may be biased to reading the tape measure incorrectly - if you know they're 30wks you may read 30cm even if its 28cm
Jiska bump ni nikla h uska week k hisab s kaise aayega??? Mera bump nhi nikla nhi aara utna pr finger k hisab s sahi h boli dr Please barabar hona chahiye kya?
james, I hope bethany gets breakfast in bed for about a week after doing each of these videos haha shes a champion! Thankyou to you both for these awesome educational videos :) and continued congratulations!
You no longer make videos as relaxing as before, I follow you just for that reason, and I recommended you to more people, but you no longer do any ASMR, so we'll say bye 😔
