Ughhh that is so agitating. Why do people have to be so negative. That is her hair if she wants baby hairs she can have them! Really doesn't hinder your life or peace any so why bother somebody else's
I really 100% agree to you. But, is because many peoples feels is ghetto. I'm Dominican & try to do baby hairs one time and most my family and peoples I know say oooo no don't do to your hairs like that again is looks so ghetto and after that I see many peoples say when they see ladies with baby hairs they think they are ghetto persons
You are the only lady i will watch religiously and rewatch time and time again. Even tho i have caucasian hair, you and other black hairstylist taught me way way more about hair than anybody else. You are worth gold! Your work is gold! And your love for hair, and the care you put into every head of hair you meet is worth diamonds ❤🙏
I have super thin hair myself and honestly the tips she gives sometimes are universal across all hair... PROTECT from heat, don’t use excessive heat, the comb is a Godsend for getting bumps and ridges out of ponytails, keep your ends trimmed, etc... I’ve learned so much about black hair from watching her, but also that I was abusing the life out of my own hair with heat and not trimming 😂😭
I’m a latino male who doesnt even wear makeup or anything flamboyant .. I really have no business being here but omg your videos always calm me down. Makes me happy seeing your customers happy at the end!
I love how you broke down that baby hair comment. People to often feel like they need to express their opinion about what another person chooses to do. I feel like people have gotten caught up with this social media mindset of thinking their opinion really matters and it doesn't. My grandmother used to say "mind the business that pays you"....Love your vlogs and cant wait for the next. Stay blessed.
Most of us would like her to do our hair! She is simply the BEST! HAIR KNOWLEDGE, HAIR STYLES, KINDNESS , RESPECT FULL O CLIENTS & HOW SHE TREATS THE HAIR. & I LOVE HOW SHE ALWAYS TAKES A PHOTO & TALKS WITH THE CLIENT ABOUT HOW MUCH SHE WANTS OFF!& DOES NOT JUDGE! WHAT A QUEEN LADY STYLE LADY SHE IS MS. DEEPER THAN HAIR. HER NAME SAIDS IT ALL. grace to her & all. gh

Here's the funny on that. Every grown woman still has it.. it's just adding edge control to show it better. Heck I'm 53 and I sure have baby hairs.. and I think it's absolutely too cute to show.
Wait a minute there is something wrong with her baby hair here? Those people are trolling cause people be out here with "chola" thick long baby hairs and this client just looks like she just had her edges done to match the sleek smooth ponytail look. If I make a frizzy ponytail I have frizzy edges. If I'm having a sleek slick smooth ponytail, I would want sleek slick smooth edges. I wear my hair frizzy most of the time so I have mostly frizzy edges but if a person wants a sleek look I understand why they want their edges to match! Peeps be trolling. Acting like the gal got her edges in finger waves and 10 swoops. Smh.
Is anyone else here purely for the entertainment of watching her and listening to her while she does hair? I’m a guy with short hair, no interest in ever working with hair myself, yet I’ve been subscribed for at least a year and watch every video - and even talk to myself like “Wow, she did a great job!” Or “yep, Gotta get those edges.”😂😂 - like, WTF do I even know? Just really enjoy your videos 👍🏼
Yeah I don't have hair or do hair but I watch every video. Something about black womens hair and this womans ability to realize its potential gets me everytime. And I love her kind spirit.
I want to say thank you for moving. I loss my mom and my grandma to Cancer three years ago and watching your videos when you had loss have helped me a great deal to start moving. I believe in telling people thank you. THANK YOU🥂🥂
I’m a white woman with crappy ratty thin hair and I watch every one of your videos in absolute amazement. Idk if it’s envy or admiration but every woman you work with is literally a goddess and so are you and I’m just so happy to be able to learn about all hair types in such a kind environment ❤️ my husband is perplexed as to why I would be interested in learning because he doesn’t think I’ll ever have an opportunity to use the knowledge but I literally don’t care. I can’t stop watching!!!
@Jess D that’s fair and your feelings are valid, Either way I think that black culture is beautiful and if I can, I want to encourage others to speak up and voice their admiration because you never know who could need those kind words! For example, I’m really really tall, and I HATE when people say they wish they were my height, my attitude is always “ugh no you don’t shut up, it sucks and it’s painful” but I always say thank you because I want that person to continue spreading that positivity to other tall people. Because not everybody feels the way I do about those comments. Being tall and being black are two very different things but I thought it might be a good example 🥰
Ok, the part about applying gel in layers!? This is the tip I needed. I often have to do a bun on my daughters hair for competitions that start so early we have to do it the night before! Life saver and GAME CHANGER!!
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for less than 2 years. We know when we graduate we still haven't had that much practice with OUR hair. I have binge watching your videos and. Learning so much. So thank you for sharing your gift with us sis ♥️
@@TheCarnivoreSoprano some people really do have baby hairs. Some are sleek some aren’t. I have tiny hairs around my hairline that have never at any point been longer than what they are now and nothing will change it. After they grow about an inch, they shed out and regrow again. No difference than the baby hairs on your neck (not your nape) that are soft and will never be longer than a half an inch.
I’ve been rocking baby hair since elementary or before. I’m 37 and baby hair is just a small detail that adds beauty and youth to your style. I’m a pro hair stylist and if my client wants baby hair that’s her business.
You're an excellent stylist and an asset to your community. A woman who loves her job and does it well really has nothing to fear. This is who you are. (By the way, I don't know anything about this type of hair, I watch you all the way from Greece. But what you do with people's hair is truly artistic!)
I'm natural and my hair is thin. What are somethings I can do to thicken my hair? When it's curly it looks thick but it's not. When it's flat iron it's thin looking. So with that been said What can I do to thicken my hair?
I'm not sure if it's the soothing music and general vibe of your videos, or the incredibly awesome and helpful tips, but your videos are addicting. Thank you for what you're doing.
What you did, take a picture and showed your client is genius, clients aren't understanding because they aren't seeing what you see when you show them the picture, they understand much better that their hair not only will be fuller, but healthier and altogether ready to grow better after the trim.
The hair, the pony, the dress. She looks lovely. When she turned around I went "Aww". congratulations Momma!! "I wish I hair would step out of line on my watch" Murray's Pomade.
My God!! Just sat down to have my coffee and walla you showed up and i was in SEVENTH HEAVEN!!! praise the Lord!!! I love your videos , they calm me down they are so informative and your voice is amazing-I am in love God bless your heart❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘 Love the music💗
This title is me in the bathroom cutting my hair. Someone needs to take the scissors away from me because I've been saying "oops" too often. Smh I'm over here trying to play with my shape without losing length 😂
I had to take the scissors out of the bathroom and easy reach. It definitely helped because every time I walked into the bathroom I thought about grabbing them✂️
I love it when you take pics of the back of the hair, too many people want length over health. Hopefully more people won’t be afraid after seeing how healthy and strong looking their hair can be after seeing this.
When you said that you must be wrapping your head in wool or cotton immediately I now understand why my hair is breaking!!! Im a welder and right in the middle of my forhead im balding so bad and it started around the same time as i started wrapping my hair for work!!! I will start restraining on something else to wear that is also not a synthetic material
While watching this I was thinking of all the times people ask me why I do certain things with my hair. And then your voice came in and reminded everyone that what someone chooses to do with their own hair is no body's business but theirs. Thanks for the positivity and that perfectly timed reminder!
Your level of talent never ceases to amaze me! I just recently cut my hair very short and I still love watching all your different styles and advice. And I just moved to LA!
Thank you this is literally the first time I have heard of someone else say anything about don’t judge anyone else based off their hair decisions if they want to have neon pink hair let them or be completely natural let them I have always looked at it as it’s not ur body it’s not ur hair u don’t know why they have chosen that hair style maybe because they need that extra motivation in life or maybe they just want to . Lots of woman today worry about the wrong things and want to bring people down n truthful it is not their problem nor their business!!
Point of the video “you have to take care of your hair, ok” And while your at it take care of yourself mentally , spiritually, emotionally, financially, all of that. And make sure you smile. I promise it’s like medicine. Thank you for always giving us truth in the hair business. 🥰😘🤗
As you were braiding her real hair, I thought you added a blond piece-that would’ve been sooo dope🥰❣️❤️💝💥💕Love your work it’s so hypnotic with the music🤗💝❣️❤️🥰🎉🎊
Your videos are so soothing. I literally go into relaxation mode when I watch your videos. I absolutely LOVE watching you cut hair with those shears you use.
This is literally EXACTLY how my hair grows 🤦🏾♀️. I just chop it to the shortest area every time. I have my Mama do it and she HATES it. Everybody gets mad because i rather it be cut and look full versus stringy length.
Ya can’t please everyone, so you’ve got to please yourself! In the long run they will respect you more! They may even start trimming theirs! Live long and prosper! Stay strong and safe!
Shooting my shot🤞🏽. At a really young age (8 or 9) I had a bald spot appear in the middle of my head (size of a ritz cracker) and my mother was uneducated on black hair so she never treated this issue with castor oil or any home remedies. She just took me to the doctors constantly and they never fully figured what it was after countless tests and scans so they ruled between telogen effluvium and alopecia but never gave an exact diagnosis. Years later the spot continued to grow with all the testing and all the failed injections that were done on my head and now the area has only gotten bigger and spread out. Some of the shots and testing worked in very small areas but I’m still bald in the center of my head. I’m only 21 and I’m wondering if you’ve ever had a client have this issue or if there is anything you think would help. If I’m able to sit in your chair I’m not looking for any handouts, I just desperately want a solution. I know this sounds cliche but I’m way too young to be going bald already. Pls help🙏🏽.
I'm 15 and a few days ago I discovered a bald spot on the crown of my head and it really shocked me. I'm thinking it might has something to do the insane amount of ponytails I've been doing for the last year, or maybe something to do with my diet. My brother used to have full, thick, curly hair that he loved and now he's got so much less hair, it's definitely scary that i found a bald patch too.
my boyfriend has had the same thing!! the doctors don’t know what’s wrong and he always complains about the injections hurting a lot. he’s only 18 but spots have been showing up and going away since he was little but he has one that’s always stayed in the same spot. if there are any remedies you think worked a little for u just let me know! I hope you find answers!!
Have you considered seeing a trichologist or dermatologist or a trained hairdresser who has helped women with similar issues? Forgive me if you've already done all of this. Hormonal imbalance, vitamin deficiencies or stress can all cause hair to fall out too.
A godsend for me has been castor oil. It does what it can with the patches but it really works for my hairline. Sometimes it needs to be diluted depending on how thick you buy it but it’s really helpful for me. Hope this helps.
Yes, I’ve seen 2 out of your 3 recommendations. I have yet to be able to see a trichologist due to the pandemic. The dermatologists are the ones that have been seeing me and treating me but have yet to give a diagnosis. I’ve sat in so many trained stylists chairs (and spent thousands) and have been told that there’s nothing that can be done due to how long this issue has persisted.
Love how you respond to those comments with genuine kindness and logic. Also you’ve inspired me to straighten my hair for the first time in about 5 years! Heat is not the enemy, lack of knowledge is!! 💜
She needs to call her mom or dad and thank them for those genes. My neck, face and shoulders look swollen after Popeyes. I shouldn’t imagine being whole ass pregnant and looking that flawless
This was a wonderful video for several reasons: very clear and precise demonstration with instructions, beautiful client with a lovely announcement, beautiful work and I LOVE how you responded to that baby hair comment.
I'm not exactly what would qualify as target audiance for your videos but there is something so satisfying about how you treat your clients and their hair! I love how you explain what you do and how/why you do it. Amazing work!
Your videos are fascinating and I'm glued to the screen when I watch one. I love the meticulous care you take with every single person. Its easy to see how much you love what you do. Not to mention the calm, soothing qualities of your voice. It makes me want to be your friend. 😁
Latina here with wavy hair and I've been binging your channel for a while now and tried today how to blow dry my hair like you teach with some distance from the heat instead of having it right on there and with a paddle brush and wow, just wow. Less pulling and struggling, I did felt like it was less heat on my head as I even at times sweat due to it and it was way faster. Thank you for teaching us so much!
I love watching your videos especially as a cosmetology student and a mixed woman who didn’t understand how beautiful her curls were ❤️ I was raised by a white mom in a white family so I always stood out I hated having big hair I begged for relaxers to fit in but thankfully my mom put the love into my hair when I didn’t and I can’t wait to help kids fall in love with their natural hair like my mom helped me and I absolutely love the message behind your videos you’re my absolute favorite 🥰🥰🥰
Ma’am I hope you do a lot more videos. I’m going down the rabbit hole now. This isn’t my hair type as I’m Native American, but I just love these videos. They are educational and strangely comforting. I think it’s your voice. It’s kind, calm, and you just generally sound happy, which is amazing. Thank you!!!
I love love LOVE your videos. It’s important to be educated on all hair types as a stylist.. silk press are by far my favorite hair videos to watch. I learn a lot from them. ♥️
Here I am, a white woman with a 3-minute blow-and-go hair thing, but I find this endlessly fascinating. Such care goes into your styling. So beautiful! Thank you.
I have a suggestion, there are soooo many women who wish they could get your hands on their hair, but its not possible for all of us, so it would be cool to recommend stylist from around the nation. If they have your stamp of approval and maybe a referral fee that goes to you when they get a new client who says you recommended them..........everybody would win.
@@Snarkulous OK but she's in the US... you want her to refer stylists she's never met or seen work. If you just want her to watch some folks on youtube and refer them you could do that yourself.
WOW, that is what I thought that when you completed her ponytail, but once I saw the video I had no words. Girl!! The hair was absolutely perfect for her dress, I hope she has that photo enlarged and framed. That beautiful moment should be captured in time forever.
