I envy anyone who has had the experience of her doing their hair. Stylists like her are so far and in between. The quality, pride and love of her work is incomparable!
Whew covid is no joke! I was hospitalized and was so sick I thought I wouldn’t make it, I have a testimony to tell. Thank God you’re okay and you’re back in full effect, we’ve missed you!
@@angelinahale1356 I was also in the hospital towards the end of last year. 3 weeks of pure torture. Made it out the other side, alive. I wasn't vaccinated either. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Compassion during these times is key. 💛
7yr old son &/or man brought Covid home 3x. Every time I caught it my hair fell out in ⚾ sized clumps, then it wouldn't grow for about 6mo's after! I had just cut my waist length hair 2 my shoulders right b4 my 1st Covid infection 😭 Going 4 my 1st diva cut on Tuesday. I've always done my cuts, color etc by myself 'cause there weren't any stylists that dealt with natural hair! They finally started popping up a few yrs ago(Thank God)!
The nape of my hair falls when I’m stressed, exams , schools & stuff. My doctor also said that internalizing stress can cause your hair to fall, even if you think you’re not stressed.💙
@queenmoma1 happen to me I wore my wool hoodie all the time to school. It broke tf outta my hair. My back was so uneven that I couldn’t even put it into a ponytail.
My coat used to shave off my nape every winter. When I found out what was causing it, I pin my hair up in the winter so it does not rub against my sweaters or coats. It resolved the shaving off of the nape issue. My nape is long and healthy now.
So glad God got you through that nasty covid.!! You, my friend, are very talented!! You are a much needed, valuable, compassionate woman. May God continue to bless everything you put your hands to.
@@ljmcdonald2703 It is just a form of the flu. Majority of the population that has been infected make a full recovery, the 5% that’s dying is majority older people 50+ . Live your life and stop being so scary 🙄
@@TiaraChante My husband and I had it ,and it was like the flu for me, but my husband condition was worse! Praise God no hospital stay!! I am sooo thankful to God that we survived!! We did loose a friend in April 2020 who was 49, she had high blood pressure, and she was over weight. It’s so sad. Praying for all who have lost someone, but also thankful to God for His healing!!
@@TiaraChante Unfortunately that’s not the case for most, this 🦠 doesn’t care who you are young , old etc. One teenager got it back in January in April this got worse again, fully healthy now he has heart issue will not be able to play sports, another women in her thirties lost her husband, now widow with have to raise 5 kids alone. Now with these other variants it’s real . We pray for God’s Grace and mercy , healing and for those that lost love ones , those that work in health field, essential workers 🙏🏾.
Im Latina with mostly straight hair, only a slight wave, but boy do I learn from these videos! I have mad weird nape hair that's suddenly wiry and curly and breaks too......Im so glad you are better. I find you videos so relaxing as your vibe is so healing ..... Blessings to you xxx
Depending on what she’s doing with her hair at night, it’s quite possible she’s wrapping or tying her scarves too tight even with silk/satin. I had this problem and immediately fixed it by switching to bonnets and satin pillow cases
Man, Im so glad ur doing better. Speaking from a nurse who has been on the Covid Wing throughout the whole pandemic 😷 COVID is a beast and some people aren’t taking it seriously enough. Thank God ur feeling better ❤️❤️❤️
So true. My husband ended up this May on ventilation for 3 weeks and it was thw worst month in my life so far. Young man in his 30's and he is learning to walk again.
Like folks in my country 😡 theyre so angry that we're under soe and have a 9 to 5 curfew on weekdays a 7to5 on weekends and a 7pm to 5am and 10am to 5pm curfew on public holidays holidays 😪
You said that the hair at her nape breaking was a problem area. That word helped me. I have the same issue. I almost freaked out and cut my whole hair. Now I understand it's a problem area not a death sentence for my hair.
This is my hair twin!!!! Kinky in the back coils in the middle and wavy almost loose curls in the front! So weird and hard to deal with as it gets longer.
You can if you do it enough. Usually people part the sections either too big but sometimes too small. I don't get heat in a salon but stylists put the tip of the blow dryer close to the hair all the way down, pulling with a brush. Imo the brush isn't mandatory, but helps bc otherwise your hand will burn. Hope it helps, my problem is KEEPING the blow out, I stay sweatin'. Bless
Girl I was wondering where you were at I was catching up on your videos last night and I’m like man where is this girl i need more videos❤️❤️❤️❤️ love your work girl
The broken off part is the perfect lil area for a cute undercut tho. 😍 And her hair is long, thick, and natural so she could easily cover the back part if she decides to get one
I have an undercut and would never go back. I can now braid my hair without it feeling or looking silly in the back. If I split my hair into a middle cut my neck looks longer. It's a win for me. I do have a lot of hair though (very fine, but a lot), is you have little hair it could look like a hole in the haircut
i am a new comer here so i didn't realize you were out of action, i am so glad to hear you are back and feeling better! i love how you take whatever looks like a train wreck and whisper "all hair is good hair" and send them trotting off down the cat walk like nobody's business!
Praise God that you’re healed and feeling better. 🙌🏾 After watching your videos, I’ve mustered the courage to finally go to a stylist, get a silk press and cut after being natural for 11 years. Hoping it goes well and I don’t get heat damage.
Girl same. Natural this time since 2011. Finally went 2 weeks ago and got a cut and silk press. Got 7 inches cut off and it feels fantastic. Curls are popping for no apparent reason! I have no regrets. 😁
@@JamieJEdwards Yeah girl, I had no idea how much I needed those scraggly ends to be cut off. You can’t tell me nuthin now. I’m so happy. It looks good straight, but it looks fantastic curly now. I was struggling for a while but now I’m set free. Now I just gotta stop touching my hair, but it feels so good! 😁
I just found your channel a week ago and I've already watched like 14 of your videos. You truly are blessed with your ability and I thoroughly enjoy watching your transformations. God bless you!!!
So grateful that you’ve recovered and are back. Tiff is beautiful and her hair is absolutely gorgeous!! I’m glad she chose to rock her own hair this time.
My nape used to be like that. When I noticed it was always breaking, I started to keep it separate in all my hair styles by braiding it up and babying it. Once I stopped putting tension back there, it eventually caught up to the rest of my hair. Maybe she should consider doing the same thing.
I just wish she'd show me her life again through video. I loved her Bali trip video. But if I caught her on the street, I'd pull up like a Crack head and ask if she got those flat irons handy.
I’m glad you’re feeling better my husband and I got Covid in 2020 and it knocked us out it was brutal but god is awesome and now we’ve been negative since then and I’m fully vaccinated and he’s on his way to being fully vaccinated so glad you’re ok and are able to get back in your normal routine 💜
What I would give for my hair to be this full in the front omg 😭 I didn’t even know that was humanly possible lol gorgeous!!!!!!! glad you’re all better from the rona ❤️
I want her to do my hair because I can tell how much she cares and respects hair. I love how beautiful these women’s hair texture is, but mine is so boring :(
For people with nape cut: - protect that part as much as you can for a year. I wear a U-part wig and keep my hair braided with oil. It's growing very fast ( I have relaxed hair and I can see the new growth)
I have nape issues and my stylists leaves that section out would you say start including it in the locs rather than leaving it out because my plan was to leave it out and moisturize and twist or you think it’s better to include it in my butterfly locs and moisturize the scalp of it along with the rest of my hair
Yo that’s so crazy that I’ve been doing my hair for so many years and never realized that was why it smokes up in my bathroom when I’m blow drying my hair I’ve even set off the smoke alarm before LOL that’s crazy thank you for teaching me something today
We’re glad you’re feeling better! I can still hear a little something with your throat so continue to take care of yourself! Okay so I broke my neck trying to get over to your website and get my products!! Thanks for letting us know!!:-)
Where I live this man set off the smoke alarm system, from blow-drying his hair. There was so much smoke coming off of his hair. He said that he forgot to close the bathroom door and to turn on his fan. He doesn't even have that much hair. I was wondering what the hell he was using on his hair that would make that much smoke that it set off the whole apartment system not just the one in his apartment. I do a dry shampoo with a clarifying shampoo before adding any water to my hair, so that it grabs the oils when I am going to blow-dry my hair to remove the oils that I use before I do my regular shampoo. Her hair turned out beautiful oil and all.
I got tested June 1, found June 3 I caught covid and was very very careful since all this happened. Tomorrow will make around 10 plus days. My symptoms were mild compared to many others. Glad you're ok!
Literally, the first second of clicking this had tears coming to my eyes with that quote "the comeback is always STRONGER than the setback". Just needed to hear that today I guess. Thanks for being you :)
I'm so happy that you were "covered by the Blood of Jesus fighting that Rona" - SNL skit Daniel Kaluuya I pray that you don't have any long-term effects from it. Praying for continual coverage.
“GOD” Is Great, Isn’t He??? Yes, “GOD” Is!!! You Are Truly Blessed To Be Healed!!! May “GOD” Continue To Bless You And All Us And Heal Everyone In The Need Of Being Healed, In The Name Of “JESUS CHRIST” I Pray, Amen!!! You did a great job on her lovely hair!
@StephanieDotDot Well, I was Trying to put Emphasis on how much “GOD” means to Me and how much “GOD” has been the Source of My Strength to get Me through so many battles In My Life!!! And “GOD” can be there for Everyone who put their Trust and Faith In “GOD” Now, when you asked me that question about why I used quotes, I had to do a little research to find out if it was appropriate, I not sure if it was made clear to me whether I should/could or not but I think 💭 I could use bold, italic and asterisks. I don’t know how to do bold or italic on my phone but I guess I can use asterisks, or I can just keep using quotes! what do you think?💭 May *GOD* “ GOD” Bless You!!! Thank You For Bringing This To My Attention, I just want to make Sure, That People Recognize That *GOD* Is The Only Reason That I Make It Through These Trying Times In My Life By Blessing Me With Strength!!!
I'm in the military which requires me wearing a bun everyday and I have that nape issue all the time. I will then cut it all off and regrow it...then back to square one again 😒
@@natalierichards7879 Bobby pins yes , you can do great things with those. . But there are also bigger ones which are actually called bun pins. Search on Amazon brings up loads for me in the UK. I assume they are called the same thing elsewhere -uk is small so balance of probability, you're probably not in the UK! If you are in the USA they might be called hair pins Any way, they are basically a bent but of wire which looks very open and impossible to use. They come in different lengths depending on your hair thickness. Tutorials are hard to find. They tend to be located in historical hair styling videos. But those are often a great laugh so worth sitting through! There is a blog from 2013 from humblebeeandme which has great picture instructions.
I heard once that the dislikes still count as engagement to RU-vid, so even dislikes push the video/channel up in the algorithm... So let the haters keep on hating 😂
I wonder if it matters what shears you'd use on caucasian hair, as long as they're sharp? I've enjoyed your channel so much over the last year, learning about black/natural hair, and understanding what a labor of love taking care of your hair is. Being white, I have to wash my hair every day, in the summer twice a day, and wish I had the options for different styles. Thank you for the work you put into your channel, and the respect you show your client's hair and situations. I can only hope to find a stylist one day that will treat mine the same. So happy you're well!!!!
Washing your hair every day is not good! Ideally once a week, but most people can't get there (they'll feel too greasy and cave after 5 days) and will go for 2 times a week. 3 times a week is already too much, let alone daily!
Your videos help me so much with my anxiety! I lost most of my hair 2 years ago and your kindness and sympathy for those going through depression and other struggles, and no judgement, is so encouraging. You uplift and beautify!! Just wanted to say thank you for the help you give people, and I’m so sorry to hear you had Covid, thank God you’re better now. ♥️ Edit: I was diagnosed with alopecia areata due to stress 2-3 years ago and luckily my hair has been doing much better as of late. I still don’t feel confident about my hair because some pieces are very very short still, and some spots still very thin, but I like trying on my wigs, although I haven’t gotten the hang of how to wear them properly yet. I use them for my photos though so at least I feel like I have luscious hair for a few minutes! Lol! It is so comforting to watch the video you recently made on different types of hair loss, for anyone who has or has had the same condition. ♥️ Thank you for your wonderful content and kindness. I would love if you made any videos about lace front wigs or about the best products to use with wigs to help secure and protect the natural hairline, just a suggestion! ♥️ Or maybe how to properly clean and style a wig that is too long and tangled? :) anyways, thanks again!
So, so glad God saw fit for your to still be here and you’re recovering! Stay healthy and people, please consider the vaccine. Not pushing agenda but just saying to consider your best options! Stay blessed y’all.
A quick inspiration - Nothing that has happened to you is a surprise to God. God’s hand is always on you. He’s ordering your steps. If the door is closed, it was supposed to be closed. If the person walked away, they were supposed to walk away. Don’t get upset, keep moving forward. God has already worked the situation out. He has something greater in store for you. Declare by faith, “it is already done” 💕.
Just found this channel and I’m binging your videos. I watch at night and fall asleep to your voice. The next morning I find where it left off and finish. Love it
Welcome back! Praise God you are well and pray no lasting effects! Tiffany and her hair were gorgeous! Can definitely see why you find the best part the grand reveal! Stay well!
I caught covid from one of my patients in July 2020. I'm a Registered nurse and got exposed at my job in a hospital setting. It was brutal for me as well. I haven't returned to work yet (11 months later). Glad to know you're doing well now!
My mother caught Covid from one of her patients. After that, the whole house went down. Tested positive on May 24th. Me and my sister ended up in the hospital 2 weeks later due to blood clots in the lungs. We going to be on blood thinners for 6 months. May God bless and keep us and strengthen us.
Oh I'm so sorry to hear this!🥺 I hope your mom was compensated with workers comp or something. Prayers for all of you...all of us. Thanks for sharing this with us.💜
@@sharonadams2858 Yes she was thank you. Brutal is the word. This Covid takes you out!! I'm worried about the lasting effects on the lungs. We're just trying to get our strength back. Don't know how long that's going to take, but we'll be okay. Sending prayers of healing and strength your way as well 🤗
So glad that you are feeling better!! I contracted covid after visiting my daughter in Raleigh. I thought she had a cold, but her health went from pneumonia to covid. I became sick the day after returning home. I had a fever, body aches, coughing, weakness. It wasn’t as bad as having the flu for me. My poor husband also got it, his symptoms was worse. Thank God our daughters didn’t get it. We kept them out of our room most of the time, and we all wore mask. Plus using an extra bathrooms and bedrooms helped! The hardest part was watching my husband suffer, and not being able to hug and kiss anyone !! Definitely had to be diligent about staying away from one another!! Lots of spraying and wiping with Lysol!! Praise God we are doing well!! We stayed inside for at least 18 days, here and there. I was healed first so I went to the grocery store after 14 days, but no where else. We took covid at home test from Sam’s after 18 days to a month, and everyone ‘s test came back negative!! I also missed attending worship service!! Praise God for His awesome healing!!
I am obsessed with these videos and your nails. 😁 Being of native descent with completely gray “wrinkled” curl that goes straight one day after washing I keep hoping I will learn a technique to keep my wrinkle. It’s the only body I have. When it straightens, no body. ❤️ your knowledge about your craft.
Ugh the nape is my biggest problem it’s sickening. I think mine could be from wearing half wigs. I wish I had her density. I did my big chop 2 years ago. Ever since I’ve been wearing wigs then moved to half wigs. My hair was just to the middle of my back and I did my own trim after watching another one of your videos. Thank you for that by the way cuz I did an amazing job! But damn my nap area is the length of Hera after you cut hers😭so frustrating
You are so wonderful. I remember one time in hair school I had a client who hair was smoking and I thought it was the conditioner on her hair so I did the clarifying shampoo and same results then I consulted a little more and found out she was on a lot of meds. My instructor told me for that particular situation that was causing the smoking. Love Your Gift so much ♥️❤️💖
So glad to hear you're feeling better! Sounds like what you went through was scary. I just want to thank you for posting all the videos. I've learned a lot from them and watching you do hair is so soothing. I have anxiety and watching you calms me down and reminds me that things are okay.
