Could y’all do a video on parenting/discipline? What you do and what kind of obstacles you’ve run into and how you overcome them? Could you also do a video on how you adapt or keep your schedules when adding a newborn to the mix? If you already have content on these topics can you point me to them? I’m so glad I found your channel recently, y’all have been a blessing ❤️
Katy, you're very inspiring. I'm also pregnant with my 5th baby, and still struggling with morning sickness and other pregnancy ails. How does your day look when Mum isn't feeling great?
Yes! Love how your focus is on spending time outdoors. Joshua White’s video “putting your child on God’s schedule” has fascinating research on this topic! What a blessing it is to have the opportunity to homeschool our littles 🤍
We love the Critical Thinking Co. Mind Benders & Balance Benders! Logic is something my husband really had a hand in and is the one who first initiated it in conversation with me when discussing what to include in our homeschool. I’m so glad he did! I’m on the lookout for good riddle/‘who dun it’ type books now.
How do you read with your two year old on the playground? I feel like mine are always lingering near really tall drops or climbing up things where they could take a 6 foot plus fall.
This is so helpful- especially how you intentionally ensure you have regular outdoor time even in cold weather. I am also thrilled to know I am not the only one who sits in the stroller to read while the kids are playing on the playground 😂 Congratulations on your 5th baby! you have a beautiful family!
Did you both to college? Would love to hear your perspective on getting a college education. I am 20 and I definitely feel the pressure from the world friends and family to go to college but I’m not sure it’s the route I want to go. I have always wanted to start my own business and be a mom. But sometimes I feel like I’m missing out and would benefit from college. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks 😄
What’s the activity you mentioned around min 14:30-15:00 that your kids like to do after school time? You picture something with spirals and numbers… I’m googling “Miniluke” and I’m not finding anything! Starting to structure purposeful learning time with my 5 year old. Thank you!
I love putting a hierarchy together for your kids learning. How do you read at the park without keeping your eyes on your kids at a public playground? Genuinely curious for myself. 😊
Love this! We love starting with outside time in the morning and then doing math time as well. My middle son saw a glimpse of the Saxon workbook and said “Mom! That’s my fact sheet!” 😁
I am binge watching your videos here. Thanks for all this great information. I just had to comment because I looooove your bangs! Seriously I so want bangs but my face really doesn’t compliment it. But you should bring back your bangs I love them so much on you. So so cute! Anyway, God bless you all. Such a precious family you have. ❤️
I really love y’all so much and am so encouraged by your videos! I always learn something new! My son is 18 months and we’re a couple months pregnant with our second! They’re a little young for a lot of this but it makes me so excited for as they grow! We get outside a lot and read a lot but we’re not ready for your pictures book recommendations yet.
Thank you for this video - one question. If y'all are doing stories at meal times, how do you eat? I struggle with this and didn't know if you had some suggestions
I would LOVE to see a full day in the life. 1000 hours outside plus a pretty intensive Charlotte Mason curriculum plus an organized home plus consistent nap time… lol I only ever seem to manage 3 of the 4!! to see it played out would be so helpful
Are you able to talk about how/if you balance time at home with outings and homeschool meetups? I’m a mama of 3, my eldest is 5, and while we nail full days at home, my kids and I benefit greatly from gatherings with like-minded homeschoolers. But school never gets done on these days 😬 would love to hear if and how you balance “home” time with “out” times
So so refreshing to see the Word put first! We read a Bible story and do a memory verse at breakfast, and it's so good for all of us! One question I had is where do you fit in grocery shopping, doctor appts, etc? That's been our schedule-buster lately now that we have a newborn.
Could you please share the memory songs you use, more info for the Abeka picture cards you like in case we can find them used? Lastly, could you please share the link for the critical thinking co books? Thank you so much for this video.
We love Smart Games for logic. They are 1 player games, the kids get them for their birthdays and we are building quite a collection. What was the name of the logic game your child was using? I tried doing a search online but couldn't find it.
Montessori Math Materials are a great addition to any homeschooling curriculum. It takes abstract ideas and make them concrete. Many online resources to teach you how to use them :)
You are such an inspiration thank you so much for giving me hope that I can be as good as you are teaching your kids homeschool while doing everything els under the sun lol
The snow suits are linked in this first video. Both videos have great info about being outside during the winter. Hope it helps! :) 1000 Hours Outside // Four Toddlers in Below Freezing Weather // Winter Edition 2023 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UWo6GNdTizY.html Winter Clothing + Organization for Out-of-Door Children (Screen Free Family) // 1000 Hours Outside - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_1htMXrlnNA.html
