When the calf got lost in the caves but finally found his way back to the herd I literally teared up. They did a great job of representing triceratops as real animals in this.
6:45 Wow, This place is really nice, There are big meadows, There are so many forests and There are beautiful trees. Nature is fascinating and That's awesome. I like those dinosaurs very much. Their horns are sharp and Their babies are so cute. Thank you so much for this video, I really appreciate it. 🏞️😏🌲🌳🦖🦕👍
The battle between an experienced veteran and a novice with long horns was honestly very shocking. I'll be honest, I was afraid one would poke the other's eyes out.
@@charles6232 a rex wouldn't fight a healthy triceratops. That's just the way it is. They're too dangerous and heavily armored. I reckon theyd go for the weak and younger ones
8:14~8:15 These displays are designed to avoid physical contact. With one-meter-long horns, fighting can easily result in bad injuries. The best and the brightest frill is usually all that is needed to settle an argument. 10:07 Occasionally, showing off is not enough.....and males resort to brute force. 11:04 This young Triceratops is lucky, compared to the poor old Torosaurus who lost a horn in a duel.
I love the detail on the old bull you can see that there is a chunk taken out of his frill likely from a Tyrannosaurus, and considering he’s still up and kicking at 30 years old I would guess that Rex is long dead
11:34 You can really see how the 30 year old male has a damage frill in his upper right side. Indicate it was once fought against a T. Rex and manage to survive. That probably the most gigachad triceratops I ever look at.
@@Morrison-saber-tooth It is also a fact for Triceratops, the brow horns are extremely variable within the same species(not including age dependent variability)
I know some herbivorous dinosaurs such as brontosaurus, apatosaurus, triceratops, brachiosaurus, iguanadon, pachyrhinosaurus, parasaurs, edmontosaurus, and ankylosaurus. They were such massive plant-eating animals! 🦕
One of the most heavily armed, and armoured dinosaurs. Tell me a T-Rex wouldn’t be very wary of this herbivorous tank! I would have liked to have seen a scene where a Triceratops walks away from a fallen T-Rex.
Yeah they had some odd narrative choices in season 1, its a great depiction of what the dinosaurs looked like but not so much for the habitats, eco systems or the lives of the dinos in comparison to what we know from the fossil record. Season 2 is much better tho
Many people say that this is the best representation of a Triceratops made for audiovisual media, and in fact it is very well done, but it is still not as scientifically correct what were people saying , in reality the Triceratops in this Documentary was made according to the taste of the designers and not with the fossil evidence, you mixed the two things, a part of what we know about the the Triceratops genus, but in general it is a designer made based on personal taste. The behavior is very interesting and plausible. But the physical appearance is also wrong,What's wrong with their appearance? Well, let's talk about this, it doesn't have the legs on its tail that ceratopsians should have,Their scales were very prominent, I want round scales, with some forming a shape similar to a flower, And these had higher structures, I have been interpreted as the place where thorns come out but actually that doesn't make much sense The beds looked like that of a crocodile or any other crocodilian as you got closer to the belly and neck, the cloaca was missing, they didn't have cheeks, my documentary, they have cheeks, The bone shield was scaly and was probably colored, they were probably between the colors purple, red, blue, purple, etc.,This appears to be of the species Triceratops horridus, which is the largest species of Triceratops, the other species of Triceratops prorsus , which is the species represented in the documentary Life On Ouro Planet, and many people fell to death because it was "less correct than that of Préhistoric Planet" when in fact it has the same errors than those of Prehistoric Planet. These triangle-shaped structures that are in the bone shield should be more prominent in young people and in older individuals they should be practically merging with the bone shield. Anyway, in general they are very correct Scientifically, but they still suffer from the Dinosaur syndrome of the 90s, in how they were represented in culture Now the shape of the front and rear limbs and the general body shape are quite correct, The horns in turn are not, the variety of shapes and sizes of the horns is very good, but the horns are the elevation of the bones of the skull, it was no different from the rest of the skull, they formed a unique structure that made something similar to a hat, this structure probably surrounded the eyes, and part of the head forming the structure that resembles a hat or helmet that I mentioned.I mentioned earlier. The Triceratops from Life on Our Planet have the same errors as Prehistoric Planet, only the species of Triceratops, in Préhistoric Planet the Triceratops horridus is represented, which is the oldest species, and in Life on Our Planet the Triceratops prorsus is represented, which is descendants of populations very derived from T-horridus.
How terrifying would it be if a predator showed up in the cave and they all started stampeding? No doubt there'd be injuries and even deaths considering they can't see where they're going
Broke: baby trikes should be called calves because they're big quadrupeds with horns like cattle. Woke: they should be called chicks because they have beaks and are related to birds. Bespoke: they should be called piglets because they're big, foul-tempered omnivores like wild boars.
