I actually have Premiere 2023 import .mkv files I recorded with OBS without problems, but I have NO idea what I installed, it... just works now. Been working for a while. Looked this up to try to remember what I did to make it work lol.

AWESOME! i tried cchanging the file extension to multiple other types and got the same error but this one works! tytytyty, you just saved me having to convert them all to mps before I could edit

i did all of these steps and the last one worked, but my file has no audio?

MKV is incomptaible with Premiere Pro. My idea is to transcode MKV to ProRes or MPEG-2 for working in Premiere Pro. DumboFab video converter can help you, which ensures the smooth workflow in Premiere Pro. This software is very nice and easily to use, have many settings that we can't find at another software, i like the effects in this software as it has many types....
