Video With Jens' purpose is to help people make great videos! In order to do that you must first master your video editing software. Therefore I'm creating tutorials and sharing solutions to common problems people are experiencing. I will be sharing a lot of DaVinci Resolve videos as I feel there isn't quite enough information out there covering this software yet. But I may in the future make some guides for other softwares as well if this is something people want.
Anyways I'm Jens from Norway which you may hear at my accent. I'm 24 years old and love to travel, so don't worry if you only got a laptop as this is the case for me as well. Travel light! Therefore I may be making tutorials from different countries.
I cannot paste without overwriting. If I hold "ctrl + shift + v" then nothing happens. If I go to the edit menu and try to select "paste insert" I can't, because it's greyed out. So whenever I paste it overwrites something else. I've spent hours trying to find a solution with no luck.
Thank you for this incredibly helpful video!! For me, the variable framerate was the problem, and the handbrake solution solved it. Thank you for saving me from many more hours of troubleshooting. My computer thanks you, too, considering how close I was to hurling it out of the window in my frustration.
So ... my AVI file would import into Premiere, but the audio sounded like static ... but played back fine in Windows Media Player (which normally won't play back anything) and VLC. Maddening! I downloaded the Shuttle Encoder (and tipped the man) and simply added an MP4 wrapper ... and no more issues with the audio! So stupid ... but thank you so much for a great work around!😀
First convert the HEVC file type to AVC type, then edit the video using Adobe Premiere Pro. It seems that to edit HEVC type videos you need a computer with high specifications or indeed Premiere Pro doesn't fully support HEVC type videos. CMIIW
This helped so much! I've been down a rabbit hole for two hours trying to figure out how to get the clips to display... tried a zillion different things which resulted in the "unable to initialize GPU" error... but turns out it was as simple as Step #2 and replugging the HDMI into a different slot on my PC 🙃 Wish I had found your video sooner~ May the RU-vid algorithm bless you with 100,000+ subs. ✨
Only one method helped me - before opening a heavy project, I open a project with a minimum number of videos, it opens without problems. After that, they open the big one - and it loads perfectly.
Hello Jens. Im from Czech Republic but I live in Austria. I can't englisch but your video is very helping with DaVinci Resolve 19 with czech lanquage. Thank you.
No help! I have tried all your methods and even the ones on the website. Nothing works. I even downsized the video files but its only happening for this one project
this is not what we're looking for. how do you drag directly from master into the timeline and have the clips automove to the beginning end of the new clip?
Variable framerate... after 8 years of editing... this is the first time this has happened to me... didn't even know it was a thing... thanks for this. You get a like 👍
