Funn makes some great components, high quality, and relatively affordable. I ended up using a Funn lower headset cup (it was an unusual external cup for a tapered steerer), and a set of their Phantom hubs in my wheel set. The Phantom hubs are so nice. They buzz like I9's if that's your thing. My kids call my orange Cotic Soul the Murder hornet because of this. I might prefer silent hubs, but the engagement is primo, and they have proven light, stiff and durable as well.

Hub engagement makes a huge difference, but is a usual compromise on most bikes unless it's top range or custom build. I don't know the engagement on this one. Quicker the engagement farther you travel with less off the stroke. So you go farther and are faster, climbs get easier.

If weight is a concern Garbaruk cassette will remove around 300g, so about half of the Deore cassette. I don't remember weights on all of the versions. Cheaper and lighter than XTR and XX1. Bu tif you want to keep cost down jus keep the Deore cassette on. It shifts smoothly, so it's nice, but heavy. I am happy with the Garbaruk. Yes the fork would make a difference, but for general easy riding it's fine, but not tried this fork. But might be able to get a second hand for for. A nice price. I have the Deore Rd, I have 6100sgs, it works well, not lightest but cheap, and no i see it's even cheaper in Norway atleast.

Excellent video. IMO black grips are best and match anything. I used to run colored grips and they kinda make the bike look childish. Accent colors on pedals, stems, seat clamps look cool tho.

I always rotate my empty bottle from the down tube to the seat tube. That only works of your running the same liquid in both bottles, though.

Yeah it really is but the price is so good. The down fall is the components. Heavy wheels, groupset, and fork. It is a good starting point if you want a carbon xc frame.

I think it's meant as bike you can upgrade, basically it get syou riding while you get the part syou want so it has rideable, safe parts, but budget parts.

You need a saddle that fits your sit bones, and your butt, so measure sit bones or get saddle similar to one's you like already. The sit ones should be on the saddle, not at the edge of it. So make sur eitd wide enough. Some saddle swill be uncomfortable for everybody like saddles where you feel seams of the pleather, and feel plastic edge. Or saddles that are super flexy like those Tioga Spyder copy cats, or specialized look alikes, so flexy your can twist it like worn out shoes. But the copy cats fail easily. But keep in mind not all shapes work for everyone, also you might need to test few angles, positions.

Probably is too stiff, but a saddle should have some stiffness, but I tmighy be you feel the edges of the saddle, the saddle might be too wide or too narrow, I tmighy be the wrong shape for you. Also saddles do wear they get glexier, as the plastic fatigues. But keep in mind chamois might make a little bit of difference if it's worn it will feel harsher, but won't fix a bad fitting, uncomfortable saddle. Keep in mind sub zero temperatures make the saddle harsher. Bu ti don't think you have much of that issue. But worth mentioning. Something I've experienced.
