Hi, really liked your video! Regarding the Hydraulic controls I think I can clarify one or two things, as I fly the dash-8 in real life. Basically the dash-8 has 3 main hydraulic systems, and a fourth backup system. No 1 and 2 systems are each driven by an engine driven pump or EDP. So in normal operation these systems are powered with the engines running. The buttons you have below the landing flap selector are left to right: Standby Hyd Press, PTU Cntrl and HYD 3 Iso valve. What they do is provide back up power if either an EDP or an engine fails. The STBY Hyd Press powers a standby pump in the No 1 system, the PTU tranfers power from the No 1 to the number 2 system should it fail. The reason these backups are selected on for take off is to ensure adequate hyd power should an engine or hyd system fail during this critical stage of flight. I guess every company has different procedures so I can only tell you how we handle it. For take off we select them on and after reducing to 850 RPM we select them off. For Landing they are selected on again below 10000 and are turned off after landing. Have fun with the Dash :)

Love the Dash 8 sounds upon landing

The sound that begins around 13:25 sounds a lot like the deep wind noise you hear in real flights. More airplanes should have better environment sounds like wind and rain.

Another good video from you:) I never really took to the Majestic Dash 8, I was spoilt by the PMDG 738 NGX which is really all I fly in P3Dv4, and the FF 757 in X-Plane, guess I am a tube pilot at heart lol. Keep up the good work my friend:)

Great video. You gotta constantly trim that rudder. I flew the Dash 8-200 in real life and you have to constantly trim the rudder with every power and speed change.

I admit it... X-Plane has made me a flight sim snob... Prepar3D just has a slight cartoonish look to me. Thanks for making though, it's always good to see what other sims are doing.

I hate that I have to purchase again for v4... mean while pmdg do it for free and many other addons (not Fs2crew)

There are some flaws here and there but nice flight and nice graphics overall. One important remark though, I noticed the throttles were put to idle at 100 feet, they should always go to idle after the touch down, in real life that would be very dangerous or could be a crash. Also in P3D it can create problems. But as I said, I enjoyed the video overall. Keep them coming!
