I'm coming to the end of my Secondary PGCE. 4 interviews later and still no job :( Its so discouraging! And there's hardly any jobs left especially as my subject is not a core one and there's so much competition. Yet everyone else has managed to get a job except me sigh.

@@ForTeachersChannel Thank you :) one thing which might be a good idea to speak about in teaching is the 'office politics'. This is something I've come across in my current line of work (Policing) where a lot of the older staff are incredibly negative about the job. I know for one of my uni friends who went into teaching that this affected her quite a lot in her PGCE year - I'll be starting mine in September.
I'd love to buy your book! I'm only starting my pgce year in September however I'm just generally trying to give myself a good base before I start any placements.

As you have worked on this for a very long time I only think its right for you to charge a small amount. I am starting my first job in September so will deffo would like an update on it

It will happen. Last year I was in the same boat but when it finally worked out I was so happy - and you will be too. hello there, apparently every teacher must teach 5 lessons a day. i know that,every teacher need thier own lesson plan. but whats confusing is, do you need to do powerpoints for those lessons every night throughout week (25 lessons) ?
I remember feeling so happy to have my own class and be in a position where I could use my own classroom management strategies etc. It really is an amazing feeling! Good luck with it! x
I would love a copy of your book! I also think it's right for you to charge a fee for the time and effort you have put into the making of the document. I will be starting my teacher training in September so I would love to have a read and prepare myself for the following year as an NQT 😁

Nice idea to write that book or e-book! and of course, you should charge for it. It could be published by Amazon directly and sell it as a e-book as well. You have shared all your class experience and given us a lot of useful tips and positive feedback. Thanks for all of your videos.

It will mostly be primary as that's the only experience I have at the moment. It wouldn't be fair of me to advertise it as both when i'm really not knowledgeable about secondary education! Maybe one day ;)

Great video. I really want to go and do work experience next year at my old primary school but I'm pretty sure they only take one space. How do I ensure I get that place? Any inside tips, haha.
Stand out from the crowd! Do you have any photos or memories you could share from when you were there via email/letter? Explain how you will make an impact on those you work with, what experiences will you provide for them that will enrich their primary school journey. Don't just say you want to learn from others (although that is important) explain how you will impart knowledge too. Let me know if you get it! x

I don't know if you have any experience meeting people like me who have been a full time TA (my role atm) changing to be a primary teacher instead.
