Literally dropped one couldn't find it. Stepped on it and instantly knew it was the pepper ball. So I was aware and still I swept it into a dust pan. I couldn't get outside fast enough. No sight( involuntary I shut), sneezing, and burng hot fire on skin and in eye. Now imagine if it was shot at my chest or face. I'm sold on this to take the fight out of someone.
Thanks for this awesome review and giving these weapons a fair shake, I think less lethal absolutely is an option and has its applications and should be apart of a gun enthusiasts arsenal of tools.
LTL is a great option I am exploring as in my city (Minneapolis) things are a bit dicey. Now is it effective against a Glock with a switch? Hell no but certain situations require professional law enforcement. Simple threats , lose dogs this would do.
In Austria we have no limitation in power, we are also allowed rifles (except automatic) with just your driving license (it’s the 5th safest country) so will never shoot a person, so this less lethal versions became very wide spreed just in case u have intruder. I got a 40 j 68 6g bullets 15 rounds, that’s more than just powerful, but u will not die unless u shoot in at the head or direct heart. U don’t carry it, nobody shoots a dog here, that’s the ultimate thin in Austria:) we also don’t have kill shelters.

Your chances with these are the epitome of ‘50/50’. If you get the all black version, your chance of deterring a perp is about 50%. The other half of that is, you get shot with a real gun. You get the orange top version, and your chance of enraging a perp into attacking you in some manner is about the same. The other half is, you are able to connect and flee. The only way I would ever rely on this is if I were traveling to a state with no CCW reciprocity AND other SD options with me.
Why do you think that a person that has one of these isn't also carrying a knife, Colt 45, AR-15 and a bazooka? It's about having choices and it's not always about a human that we need to be worried about. Also many are modifying these to get pretty big numbers on fpe.
Unfortunately, this is the only legal thing in the Netherlands. And pepper spray is also illegal. So you can only use the rubber balls, or the rubber ones with a steel core.
The hdp 50 is about 300 maybe 350 before mod, the compact is like 420 on first 4 shots before dropping some, ive seen a few chronys, and with around 1 to 1.5 gram rubber, pepper or nylon balls, allumimun balls are not really meant for these guns, only like for revolver type!
Great video! I'm a complete beginner. How much to tighten the CO2 piercing screw? Normal level tightness, firm tightness, or extra firm tightness? I also noticed you placed the CO2 reverse of what the manual advises. Did you switch it up behind the scenes, or does it work either way? Thanks.
Practice n shot placement is critical for this tool modified it was shot with it I'm 5'10 280 it brought me down no face shots I wouldn't want to get shot in the face last time do something that dumb that said it's not a for sure option to take some one down but it betters your chances
I hate the way the look so ugly orange looks are important and these are ugly one of the reasons I couldn’t get one . Went with the scorpion .50 cal same power better looking same price
Having it be half orange could save you a lot of legal trouble, if you were to deploy this in an SD situation. On the other hand, either color could get you shot with an actual firearm.
@theshooterszone I understand that and the grouping was good. I wanted to see some dents in something to see how powerful it is. I will not be offering my services as test dummy this time but maybe in the future. Haha 👍
