PERFECT info. Having never exactly attended a card making party, I have been looking for tips & methods for assembling kits because I do have card making friends I get together with who said they would love to help assemble, but I didn't want to be lugging my craft room with me or loaning out a ton of tools or stamps. I have another card friend who is also willing to help me make kits. Exactly what I was looking for.
In our monthly group, we have a few people who are not comfortable assembling cards (most are elderly or handicapped). They love to fold card bases, using the Scor Buddy and they stamp and tuck as others get them assembled. We do almost everything in advance (color, pre-tie bows, stamp, round corners etc). We put kits in baggies and we also have a box of adhesives that they will need. We also have a table with coloring sheets, crayons, markers and colored pencils. And of course, the food table!
I appreciate these tips. I tried it once made lots of mistakes. I took too much stuff and had my ink pads ruined and tape runners broken. I haven't wanted to try this again. I'm sure many others don't know how to set up card kits. Love your hair in this video.
Sandy, I think you were reading my mind again. I was thinking about this the other day and was going to ask on FB. A friend of mine is starting a ladies group. I know a few are interesting in crafts, so this may just work in the near future.
