No I don't have any gas pains whatsoever- I do however struggle with heartburn- I've never had it until this surgery.

My liquid diet was sparatic lol to say the least i was basically on a 3 week liquid diet- i did cheat, because i was so on edge but for the most part i was full liquid. the day before my surgery i had one light meal for breakfast, followed by liquids for the remainder of the day, and then 1/2 of a white gatorade previous to surgery. My suggestion is to follow your surgeons orders, the less you have in your stomach the easier the surgery is- the whole idea behind the liquid diet is to shrink the size of your liver, so that the removal of the stomach is easier- i hope this helps!

@@kelsi_danielle oh yea im fully aware and just ready for mine , my 2wk liquid diet starts march 12 but i was super confused as far as ur experience because im like why would they even suggest that date to her when they know we supposed to be on a liquid diet 2 weeks prior. makes me wonder if thats why yu had that complication during surgery. i was like whaaaatttt why would they ask her to come in cuz of course we're so anxious to get it done but i didnt think they should have even suggested that to yu but nonetheless, super excited that you're doing well!!! Cant wait to continue this journey with yu :)

@@PLUSH1E669 yes there were so many questions i had when my husband mentioned the complication in surgery- but i was assured by his NP that it was at no fault of my own- i have a few updates about that in my next vid- i am happy for you- we are on our way my dear!!! @@kelsi_danielle I cannot believe they knew you ate the morning before surgery and still allowed you to have surgery. That is a no no no matter what type of surgery it is when getting sedated. As a nurse I have seen so many surgeries cancelled from patients sneaking and eating (not saying you snuck). Then to have complications makes you wonder if it was the poor prep going in. I'm glad you did so well and didn't aspirate on the table. I wish you nothing but the best for the rest of your journey I will continue to follow. I can't believe how amazing you look POD 2.

@@stephthenpstudent i was instructed to eat the morning before surgery, and nothing for the remaining 24 hours before surgery. I did not eat the day of my surgery,the last meal i had was the day before at 7am-thank you for your support.💕

How much pain you were in after surgery? Did your stomach hurt after the surgery?? I’m going through it right now and I’m scared about the pain after the surgery.

Georgia. I’m self pay though and looking at two places in Alabama with self pay packages. Hoping to find some real experiences to help me determine which is a better fit.
