PREPARING THE HORSES FOR HURRICANE IRMA 2017 

When she said goodbye to her horses it kinda broke my heart. Like I feel her. If I'd had to move my two horses somewhere else because of a hurricane and maybe never see them I'd truly be heartbroken!

The sad part is a lot of people couldn’t help their animals

I find the whole chain of reactions in stalls always so funny like one horse starts to neigh and then all other horses do too

My gelding was outside in a pen for Hurricane Irma, we live in south GA so we weren’t expecting anything bad but the barn was too full for all of the horses so I opted to leave Hagen outside. I did the same thing you did, braided tags and painted my number on him. It’s scary! I’m glad you found facilities! Where in FL are you? I may only be a few hours from you!

First owner I've seen that actually cares about their horses, there was so many horses that was left in the pens which obviously didn't go well for them.

Im watching this months after the hurricane Irma.. I hope u and your family and pets are safe!! And yes Irma was terrible.. See..i.. Live in the woods...sooo... There was leaves and branches EVERYWERE and HUGE trees ripped right out the ground it was terrifying but we alive!! Also before hurricane Irma come, it took me 4 days to get this cat before hurricane irma hit and the place i got her was at are warehouse witch is just 2/3 mins away.. So i got the cat and saved her life!!! But she went missing last September.... Idk what happend to her but all ik is that i saved her life either way... Hurricane or no hurricane i healed her and fed her bc she needed that a lot..and i still have her favorite stuffed animal!!! She huged it and druled all over it!! It was so cute!! But...i really do miss her!!! But i hope everyone is okay after that hurricane!!! ❤️💛💚💙💜💗😇 also i had named the cat Daisy 💛 💚 💙 💜 💗 and first time seeing your channel and i subbed!! Also if your name is Valentina thats cool bc i know a guy and his names Valentin his nickname is Val tho, we always joked around saying u should marry a Valentina!!! 😂...

You did an excellent job! Might want to pull your hay nets farther up though. Had a horse get his leg stuck in one. As you can imagine it can end badly.

We had a Hurricane come through the area where I live at the stables where we board our horses there is the main barn which is concrete and then there’s another one for the rescue horses which is a roof and stalls (it’s hard to explain) so we put all of the board in the main barn with all the doors and windows shut and then we put the rescues in the front pastor with tags braided in they’re hair with breakaway halters on luckily it was just a category one so it wasn’t that bad just rain and wind and all the horses are safe and sound I’m so glad you took such precautions for keeping your horses safe

I am so glad I live in Britain. I only put the horses away in snow. My stables have a little area which is still outside but it has a roof over it so that is where the horses go in heavy rain/hail.

The Tampa Fairgrounds weren’t like this but it was similar, it’s where we show to, Me and my horses owner (the one I leased from) years ago sent the horse to Alabama just to be safe. 😅 Thankfully nothing happened badly much.

I feel you I live in South Carolina and was in North Carolina at a show that got cancelled but 2 of our now 5 was at home (we bought a horse in NC miss kitty did it) my dad & grandma was home my dad was running around like a chicken with his head chopped of my grandmother was taking care of our cows

I went through that with my horses too. We put my horses at Grand Oaks. We knew they were safe because we leave them their all the time.

The funny part to me is it was supposed to be a Catagory 5 and we were SUPPOSED to evacuate, My family didn’t. I slept through the hurricane. Woke up a day later while the power was out.

I went to Orlando after hurricane Irma, and we were going to Cape Canaveral and there was branches EVERYWHERE

what we do with horses is e put them at robins lodge park in Florida we let them out there and there a lot of grass water and big fields and the horses run its the best thing

For Hurricane Harvey I live In Dallas and we were out of gas and if a gas station wasn’t then there was hours and hours of lines to get gas because we sent our gas to Houston so hurricanes really affect far and wide. We didn’t have gas for weeks and there were cars on the side of the road abounding because they ran out of gass

I’m in Louisiana and it was like category 4 or 3 and my horse was at my boarding barn and I was so worried but they were fine and my pets at my house are safe too because we live on a huge hill and water From flooding didn’t make it to the house

Im allergic to horses, but idc I still ride them because I love them :3 But im not an expert so half of the vid I was like "...Wth is that?"

During hurricanes we Have 300 acres we have 60 acres of hunting area We let them loose there but we always find them bc trackers in her Mane and always have one wired on there hoofes

Ocala has a great facility, we actually cut ours out with our info braided into his tail

Sweetheart, you don't look like crap! You're a very Beautiful young Lady. So stop saying that! I appreciate the fact that you have made arrangements for your horse's safety! That's very important. Too many people don't give a thought to their animals safety during storm's of this magnitude or greater. It's hard to understanding how people can have the attitude of, their beasts of burden and they'll fend for themselves. Sometimes with horse's that may very well be their only option. But in those cases you set them free and don't keep them penned up. Most times they are able to figure out a way to survive.

The first boarding facility is where I went for the 2016 Josef clinic last year 😂😂
