It's time for another weekly grocery haul! I am trying to minimize grocery spending this month and our prepper pantry and freezers are quite full!
I also take you on a tour of all of my pantry spaces and my refrigerators and freezers! We need to clear out some items to make room for new items!

I love that you save the pickle juice. I shouldn’t have expected anything less 😂 Garlic salt is life!! I pretty much put that on everything.

Hey hey Katie! Lol...pickle juice is amazing for marinating things...learned this in a Chick-Fil-A copy cat recipe. It is also yummy in an adult beverage. LOL

Thanks so much! A prepper pantry is always evolving and I am shifting items now due to us being empty nesters now. Food security is so important to me and I am so happy to have food in the house for the long winter!

@@SnowGardener This is the recipe I found but I did not use oregano (because I didn't have it) and I just don't ever add it. 1 tsp each garlic powder, onion powder, oregano,black pepper 1 Tbsp each corn starch, paprika, salt 2 Tbsp ground cumin 4 Tbsp chili powder

I just got into canning.. I love it. 2 weeks ago canned 12 pints of pork butt and right now finishing up with finishing 22 lb of chuck roast that I got for $3.97 lb. Thanks for the inspiration Marlene!

Meat is my favorite thing to can. Today I am going to can some rump roast that I got on sale for $3.99/pound. I also have a couple of containers of mushrooms that I want to can. Happy canning!😊

Ghirardelli chocolate chips really safe the best! We’ve been enjoying eggnog over here, too. We bug it at Costco to save a little, but the kids would drink it all day long if I let them 😂 Don’t you hate it when the stores twist your arm with those sales? Seeing your pantry always makes me happy!

Need your potatoes in wood crates and if there sprouts your storage is to warm so cut off the heat and get a fan into your storage all foods need to stay at a coolness mainly jar foods try to keep light off them it creates bacteria. Got on my husband we had to cool of a room we need fan off you learn but we've done this for 30 year's. Free life and no Det is nice .

These potatoes are not for long term storage, I just need to get them used up or canned. Time has just been short with my full-time job and my Etsy business!

Thank you so much! My canning shelves were built by my husband and I love them! Awesome on canning all those beans! Between my full-time job and my Etsy store having a huge month last month I haven't had time to can anything! I am hopeful to get some canning done in the next couple weeks to clear more of my freezer space out!

@SnowGardener Well, I am retired ( nurse for 45 years), so the only excuse I have for not getting it done is that I'm lazy LOL ... plus back issues. I just try to get as much done as I can at one time and then finish the next day. Sometimes, it may take 3 days. To paraphrase Dirty Harry, "A woman's got to know her limitations." 😊

Wonder if she buys pineapple or like me I grow pineapple and we get snow so they have to come in but I do make zucchini pineapple and I have it Jared and dehydrated and candy. I have about 89 dehydrated foods we grow it's a massive staple and we can alot. Dehydrating radishes right now late November but we used for dips and mixing with horse radish for prime rib. It's amazing how so many lady's are filling Pantry's. We're going to start a home to home teaching each other on things we don't know. But look at her she doing wonderful.

Thank you for all of you comments Sandy! We live at 7200 feet and have no first or last frost date. We are currently working on a green house to extend our growing season. Most things I can I do buy. The pineapples I found on sale for $0.99 a piece...sure do hope to find that sale again! That is so awesome that you have all those dehydrated foods. I want to start dehydrating and freeze drying, but one thing at a time.

I have canned some soup and hope to do more in the future. I have cream of mushroom soup I make that I freeze. It is so delicious, but it is quite expensive to make due to the heavy cream and the mushrooms. Oh my pantry shelf I have a chicken soup and a meatball soup. There are so many soups that can be canned! The skys the limit! LOL

I don't freeze pickle juice. If I said I did, I am sorry for misspeaking. We keep the pickle juice in our fridge. It is great to marinade with and some of us like to drink it! LOL

Sheila all of my food is in my house! The shelf you see in the thumbnail is my laundry/storage room. Did you watch the video? I walk from my kitchen into this room.
