Thank you so much for posting this video! I’m a new homeschooler and have a 7 year old that would have been going into 2nd grade by school standards. He has autism and ADHD and I knew he was behind where he should be, but I realized he was way further behind than I thought. He still can’t identify all his letters. I’m thinking this book would be a great starting point for him. Thank you and your gorgeous girl for sharing ❤️
You're so welcome Lindsey! Oh how wonderful that you get to homeschool him! Yes! This might be great for him and then you can go at his own speed. Great job mama! ❤❤❤
Yeah. My oldest didn't like to color either but now she does. Idk what changed so with Aubrey I just keep asking her to do it and then if she'd rather not then I give her another incentive....usually a gummie bear or something. 😂
She's so smart! 😇😇😇 We are huge fans of incorporating snacks into our lessons! 💖 We are currently testing out TGTB Level K Primer and like most of it. We just skip the parts that feel redundant or that the kids already master well. 😊
Thanks for the video it gives a sneak peak into the curriculum, I always wondered if curriculums are more useful/different than buying few prek books from stores. And ya your daughter is adorable ❤️
Hi Dina, she's so cuuuute ❤ I'll definitely use TGTB Language Arts Pre-K for my son in September (for maths we are using a different curriculum Singapore Maths) thank you for your advices.
the outtakes were glorious! love this video. thanks for sharing. I think I will pick up the pre k for my 4 year old. planning on starting her soon. I'm a first time homeschooler learning the way with my second grader. trying to learn how to navigate homeschooling multiple kids!
Hi Maya! Oh how wonderful! 2nd grade is so fun! They are able to read but the material is still easy enough that I know what I'm talking about! 😂😂😂 PreK is super fun too! Especially using TGTB. ❤
You're daughter is so adorable! We just started Abeka's 2 year old program with my daughter and I'm so excited to get into more involved stuff than colors and shapes haha.
😂 Oh I hear you mama! I keep trying to remember it's such a precious time but I understand wanting to move on! 😉❤ I didn't know Abeka had a 2 yr old program!
I love your channel! I have watched all your TGATB videos. :-) I have an almost three year old, so I can't wait to start him in a year on this. My daughter is doing the Lower K right now. I have taken all of your suggestions, from the boxes from Michaels, to how you do the flashcards. :-)
I am amazed by how much patience you have!! How do you do it? I’ve got 7 kiddos ages 21,19,14,9,6,5 and 3. I am homeschooling my 14,9,6,5 and 3 year old this year. My 9 year old has C.P. With a few learning setbacks. But I just can’t keep myself as patient as you are and I’m not really enjoying right now.I want my kids to get out of being with me a joy of learning.
Hi Bridgett! Honestly, I have my moments also. I'm not nearly as patient with them as I would like. But whatever patience I do have comes completely through the strength of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit! Of course I mess up, and then I have to ask for forgiveness from God AND from my kids, but the beauty, and hope, and freedom comes from knowing my God will always forgive me if I come to Him. Then....He gives me a fresh start...even if my last fresh start was just 5 minutes ago. 😉
I loved how you did the writing the date with her! We just started the kinder math with my 4 year old and I’m doing this with her! I was wondering what she is erasing it with?
Ugh, the darn pull of technology! I’m with you, I have to leave my phone in another room and make a conscious decision not to pick it up! I get annoyed with myself over it sometimes.
Thank you Patricia! I decided to start it because I felt she was ready for more. Plus then we can take it slowly if we need to. 😁 And she can get her PreK book done in less than 15 min and she's always asking for more. 😂
@@PursuingPeace oh okay! Got it. My son is almost 3 and he know all of his letters and some sounds so when we start tgatb pre k in 2 years he will probably be similar to her. I'm a planner and am waaaay ahead of myself 🤣🤣
Hi you recommended confessions of a homeschooler and now your using this curriculum. So I’m confused, did you use both? Or did you not like the other one? Thanks just trying to get it together over here and figure out a solid education foundation for my son. Thank you
Sorry for the confusion. We use both. I've used COH along with TGTB before. But I also have done 1 year of COH and 1 year of TGTB. So essentially 2 years of PreK. Only because my little one was ready for school at 3 yrs old. I hope that didn't cause more confusion. 😬 Basically BOTH of these curriculums are wonderful. You can't go wrong with either.....or both. 😉
