Hi y'all! I'm a mama to 5 kiddos 6yrs old and under and on this channel I share my passions for Christ, Homeschooling, and encouraging other mamas in this amazing and chaotic season of motherhood. We are a large family of littles, trying to navigate this crazy homeschooling journey as we strive to honor and glorying God in everything we do. If you'd like to join me on this journey then subscribe and click the bell icon so you know whenever new videos pop up.
It really is up to your child. Some of mine were fine to start at that age and some weren't. If you do start at this age, I would recommend doing two years of preschool because hitting kindergarten at 4 is probably too early for most. But again.... it's up to you. You know them best. And you can always start and slow down when needed. 😉❤️
Yes we are! But now we live somewhere that doesn't have a community. So we're just doing the memory work at home and hoping to rejoin a community when we move.
Hi 🤗 what books sets for the whole school year for 4 grade are there and what do you recommend is the better please I really need some help thank you GOD BLESS 🌹🙏💕
yes like reading , spelling , math , luauge arts , science , social studies , history , health , music , art books in a set for the full year I'm not sure I can really use some help please thanks Haleena 🙂
Newbie from Delaware here for a 5 year old in kindergarten and first time totally freaking out bought some books off amazon for diff subjects though ughh
@@PursuingPeace Is there a CC book list suggestions. I literally need a book list to make my life easier. 😂 We are doing CC memory work at home without a community. I have 9 that I'm homeschooling this year and financially joining a community is not something we can afford. 😁
Thank you for all your flip throughs and showing some of the video of the No Sweat Nature Study! That was super helpful for me. I’ve been thinking about doing that with my kids for Science. Thanks again, Dina 😊
😂 Now that they're older it's SO much easier! Everyone is potty trained and everyone can get in the van on their own. ❤️ It's a whole new level of freedom! 😁❤️
Thank you so much for your help ! Can you help me with the best decision , I’m actually using my fathers world the full curriculum, and we just started our 2nd year in cc , the first year we didn’t use too much of the cc at home but this year I want to implement the cc curriculum at home as well , my question is , did I need to complement with a full curriculum or just math and language? I’m thinking about using tgtb for 1s grade . Thank you !
You just need math and reading/LArts. Use the CC memory work as your spine. Then get some good books to go along with what you're learning in history and science. Are you in a community?
We haven't really started yet. This year will be our first year without any real curriculum. 😬 I do miss shopping for it though. My son is on the autism spectrum and has ADHD. So our learning will be through field trips, reading (lots of books!) and daily life skills.
Wow you are doing so amazing Dina! I love how you were making an effort to read books and play games this year. I want to try out no sweat nature study and rar premium but I'm not sure when yet. Love the bingo games. Slambango looks so fun!
Thank you for sharing this! We’re in our first year of homeschooling and I love seeing what everyone uses to see what we could add or use in the future. Also, I’d love to hear your testimony!
I giggle with you in every video!! 😅 I’d seriously like to know if the read aloud and did these extras etc were possible when you had little ones. Currently we have twins (age 7), 4yr old toddler and 18m toddler and it’s hard to just get basics done 🥹 I want to do more!
My kids loved read alouds when they were younger. It wasn't always peaceful....but they were listening. I had them cuddle up with me on the couch with picture books. When it came to chapter books I had bins with Legos or Geosticks or quiet toys like that. They could play while they listen. Just like anything.... it's a muscle that needs practice. If you do it enough, they'll learn how it works. 😉 Hope this helps! ❤️
The Driven by Grace course looks amazing! You always seem to find the neatest things. I love the idea of incorporating the Greek cards and the Still Singing course as well. I am a hymn lover. Thank you for sharing.
After doing it for several weeks now I can say I LOVE the Driven By Grace curriculum! 💕😁 Worth every penny! It's biblically sound and explains things in a way the kids understand. We've had some wonderful discussions because of it. ❤️
Thank you! I'm actually not using it...because I don't know how to. LOL! Maybe once we're in a community we'll be able to have someone show me how to use it. Sorry I can't help.
We actually use claritas publishing which is similar to CC but can be done without community so it’s easily done at home. It syncs up to story of the world. Cross seven is the streaming service for it and has a lot more bible I think. I have loved it. It has about 9 memory pegs and no art. They do have a grammar program and science. Just wanted to share with those that may not want to do CC community.
We are finishing “2023-2024” while we homeschool year round I tend to end in October and start in January. I like having the holiday months a little more lax incase we need to travel also if we can get out much because of the cold it’s okay.
Have you thought about doing presentations for your RU-vid audience? I don't know how you feel about that. It might be a good experience, I don't know. It's just a thought I had.
Yes. It's been a rough start. :( My girls are doing very well in Challenge A and 1, but overall, juggling all four kids daily routine has been a challenge for me this month! My little ones (boys) have been having a hard time getting into the groove.
@@faithfullyinfertile Praying for things to smooth out soon. Something that helped me this year was starting with the essentials and only doing that for a few days. Then slowly adding on subjects. Then when it got too much....I paused and asked myself if whatever we added last was really necessary. I hear the challenge years are tough....but remember you are still the teacher in control of your own schedule. ❤️
Thanks, Dina! Great inspiration! Practical question:... Do you do AM Basket BEFORE core work/individual TGTB subjects? We are having the hardest time "fitting" everything in... Between our AM Basket+Memory Work and one family subject (looped), we're pretty much at lunch time already, and then to tackle individual L.A.+Math (one lesson each x three kids), that brings us to 3pm or later, and I am tanked! Way too long of a school day and/or rushed. Our curriculum and schedule looks similar to yours... Are you also schooling that late in the day? 🫠
Hi! We start our Morning Basket at 9am and go until 10:30am. Then we do LA and Math and usually end around 1pm. We have a late lunch so I let them get snacks in between subjects. Can any of your kiddos do their LA and Math on their own? Or at least part of it?
Ooohhh, I didn't realize they have Tree Bingo now. Buuut, I'd have to create a curriculum for all these stuff now. Do you happen to have one you can share? JK! But maybe not. 😅🙃
@@PursuingPeace I'm so glad you got your haul before the change! We use up our funds on curriculum, swim, karate and music lessons (plus instrument) so I'm used to buying books and supplies out of pocket.
Thank you for creating such inspiring videos! We're in AZ too. Can you please explain how the ESA scholarship works foe those of us that are in AZ? Thank you!
Thank you so much for the links in your description! I was able to save some of them to my homeschool folder. I really liked the blocks from Treasures from Jennifer.
I'm in AZ too! ESA truly is such a blessing and has helped home educate my neurodivergent child when both public and private education were unsuccessful. Thanks for sharing! I see some items we can add to our lessons.
So I think the frame is dual lined because it has tabs on the glass side. You probably can place the picture inside there until you're ready to swap it out and tuck it behind!
So fun! We just went back to school shopping yesterday. Always fun to get some new supplies and Mama got a new printer. 🎉 You always make me smile! I hope you have a wonderful homeschool year!
Oh my word for bookshelves look up homedepot dry oak 18shelf standard bookcase with adjustable shelves, you have so much space and would be awesome in your space 😊
