Hello James. Your story about your medical cannabis journey is very eye opening. From the way you speak I get the impression that even without thc, you are managing your anxiety and fibro well and staying calm and collected. It’s inspirational. Definitely resonate with what you said about the medical cannabis system. One thing to remember though is that it’s still early days yet. Hopefully as society gets more used to it being legal medically it will open the door for more affordable products and less stigma.
No you get a prescription which you show police and they leave you alone the cards are not worth anything mine is on the back of my phone under the case 24/7 I'm in uk too
Hi James, nice to know you. I’m Lee, live in the North East in my 40’s I was super fit but had kidney cancer in my late thirties. Afterwards fibromyalgia moved in, I’ve been I’ll for around eight years now. Stay strong bud 👊
Hi Lee, Do some research into the relationship between stress, trauma and pain mate. Having Kidney cancer is a big trauma, and so is the loss of the fitness you worked so hard to build. Like you, I got sick in my 40s and lost my muscle mass and fitness and it was incredibly difficult to come to terms with. Illness and disease are also very stressful and can work as a feedback loop, stress including post traumatic stress create and intensify pain in the body. Elevated pain levels often increase stress and anxiety and the loop continues. Repressed and suppressed emotions along with unresolved trauma very often are the cause behind pain, surprisingly not the physical issues we attribute to it. Take a look at Dr John Sarno's work on TMS and pain. The Tapping Solution for Pain Relief by Nick Ortner is worth a read, as is The Great Pain Deception by Steven Ray Ozanich. EFT and EMDR are also worth looking into as they can be very effective at releasing and clearing trauma and painful emotions. You are not powerless, helpless or stuck mate, there's plenty you can learn and do to enjoy a better life. I sincerely hope things improve for you.
It is about flavours though, massively. Given the entourage effect, the terpenes are actually more important then the THC percentages themselves. Im not sure why you would think the genetics aren't important.
@@crznproductions1205 I didn't say anything about genetics not being important? I just said it would be good if you could trial out a strain to see if it suits you before you spend more money.?
If you have a medical prescription you’re allowed to be over the limit if for whatever circumstance you get prosecuted you can appeal and sue them. Just make sure you have all necessary documents of your prescription and everything will be okay they can’t prosecute you for following the law
Sorry to hear about you experience man, I have been prescribed it for the arthritis in my ankel and it has helped me more than any medication I have been on I never smoked I was anti weed when I was younger and I just decided to try it one day because the pain was bad
Hello James! Was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions back in 2021. Got my medical cannabis card in 2022, in which able to get the higher dosage, tax exempt, and deals/specials in dispensaries in New Mexico, USA. This had helped and changed my life! Tried majority of prescribed and over the counter meds, and either none worked or made my conditions worse.
Hello, James. I heard you mentioned you lost your brother in a a newer video and I lost my brother November 22nd 2017 the day before thanksgiving that year. I just wanted to say I’m so sorry and I’m sending you and your family my condolences 💜
There are some good advice being put up in the comments... In my opinion, get away from the oil if you are subjected to getting anxiety etc. Why? When you take things orally, it becomes an edible. When it's an edible, the liver, (I think, will stand corrected), processes the THC, and changes it somehow, so it becomes more psychoactive, than it would from smoking, or vaping, so anxiety can be amplified. I'm talking from personal experience. I'm presuming you used bedrocan full spectrum, I'm not sure if that's sativa or not. IMO keep away from the sativa strains, and stick with a Indica variety. Indica tends to affect the body more so, that's why you hear the term COUCH-LOCK, it refers to the deep relaxation and sedation the body. Vaping dry herb, is not like a e-cig where you blow out huge clouds of smoke. Vaping weed via convection, apposed to combustion, is healthier. It releases the TERPENES and THC and leaves the other nasties behind... Hope you don't give up on it, as it can help most of the time..
edibles have helped me the most with no anxiety, just bliss for a couple hours by being relaxed and clear of negative thoughts. everyone's different though but for me ive only experienced good
James some GP/hospital consultant prescribed meds will state they can affect driving, operating machinery etc. Tramadol, strong cocodamol, diazepam, robaxan are some I've had to take and all state this. You could be prosecuted for being under the influence of these drugs too. I couldn't function on Pregabalin/Lyrica which is/was one of the first "go to" meds for Fibro. I was a zombie on it!
I enquired about getting a prescription, but for the cost of the license and the other costs it’s just cheaper and easier to do it the old fashioned way.
Hi James ive had it since 2017 definitely think trauma caused mine parents divorced when i was 7 physically and mentally abused as a kid by mums boyfriend my dad died dog died mum died all in five years in my early twenties had an adverse reaction to a drug i was given by gp was part off litigation for compensation never got any or did the other people. And also my friends thought i betrayed them when i didnt was set up and people think i did somthing i didnt so had my fair share of it. Dont take meds for my Fibro because ive witnessed first hand what some of these medications can do. It is agony but i have respite from symptoms here and there where there not as bad. Its a hard one to deal with i feel like you grieve for what you was before and what you could do its bloody frustrating and wears you down its rough. Worst thing are people that think its psychosomatic im a bloke with a high pain threshold and its agony unless people have it they havent got a clue. I hope you find some relief ❤ 👍
You're right, repressed emotions and unresolved trauma will lead to pain. Body and mind are one system, what goes on in the mind will affect the body and vice versa. Look into ways of releasing and letting go of painful emotions and experiences, that's the key to getting rid of pain permanently rather than managing it. EFT and EMDR are very effective approaches. Take a look at Dr John Sarno's work with TMS and pain. The Great Pain Deception by Steven Ray Ozanich and The Tapping Solution for Pain Relief by Nick Ortner are definitely worth reading. You don't have to just grin and tolerate it mate, there are things you can learn and do that can make a real difference. You are not powerless or helpless, pain can bully and victimise you, but you can make a massive difference by researching and implementing what you learn. Go for it mate, what have you got to lose?
Definitely sounds like the cultivar. LA Kush gives me panic attacks. Glory Glue chills me out and sorts my pain. White Widow removes all pain as well as inflammation and swelling but knocks me out. As for the driving... you have a prescription, you have a legal reason to consume it. This means that it comes down to how impaired you are the same as any opiate prescribed to you or if you're tired or sick.
Hello. Fibro in USA here. Im a med MJ patient. I can drive with a tincture that is indica 1:4 (thc:cbd), .5ml dose. This is my daytime dose that allows me to feel 100% normal. At night I smoke (approx 3 puffs) flower. It winds me down and allows me to sleep. I CAN NOT HANDLE SATIVAS AT ALL (similar bad experiences like you described). No other prescription has been as effective. Indica strains are kinda hit and miss. I have 3 or 4 that all my favs. I hope you get the opportunity to try again.
Bro I use cannabis for osteoarthritis and my autism, adhd. I’m in New Zealand and unfortunately while we can get weed prescribed it is incredibly cost prohibitive so I have to get it illegally still.👎👎👎 Good luck bro I hope you stay healthy and happy ☯️🦦💖🎏
When I smoked too much cannabis in my early days I could get paranoid and anxious but this was because I had used too much I had to build up tolerance.. years later I am now using medical weed. It really helps my condition.
Wow, I do understand. When I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2018 and I told my Neurologist I did not like to take the opioids, pain pills, he suggested medical cannabis😮, well I had a bad experience, went through withdrawal from medications I was on, while trying the vapes 😢 There are several different strains, and methods of taking them, it's taken me a long time to figure my dosing and still figuring it out because they change strains all the time (keep a log of what helps), if you have anxiety, STAY AWAY from sativa 🤦♀️🤷♀️
“It lasted 4-5 hours, I was convinced I was dying” 😂😂 I been getting the wrong stuff Not laughing at u bro, thanks for the explanation, I’m looking to get the same from Lyphe next month
Intelligent guy shares the same concerns as me in regards to driving and the grey area this needs to be made more clear for medicinal patients. I still would suggest trying a different strain it possibly was sativa dominant as this also gives me panic attacks needs to be more indica .
You need a balanced 1:1 T25 C25. You need to build up the dose, the drs do not know much about cannabis. I am on project 21 and have been for 2 years and my dr told me all the drs are learning from the seasoned users amongst their patients. Especially growers and edible makers. You cannot remove thc in a week from your blood, it can be months, the roadside canna test is calibrated very low. Always keep your digital prescription on your phone, clinic number, patient I d number. Good luck. You needed to start a drop a day then raise that second week, every other day take 2 drops, 3rd week 2 drops a day, you will have tolerance by then.
Test for low Vitamin D levels mine was low and bringing it up above 30 will help with your pain. Most adults north latitude are very low so try testing
Bro there's no shame in it we've all pulled a whitey at one time or other and sworn we'de never blaze again but it's true most people need to find what works for them and what type of strain as they are wildly different
It wasn’t clear when this person was describing increasing their dose whether they’re taking in one day (which is Wong and absolutely will mess you up) or over a period of days, which is right. Then, if .5 is too much per day, take less. It’s good to see honest feelings on the option, because at least he tried. Your results may vary same as any medication
It’s not a grey area you can drive on medical cannabis containing thc just not when you feel impaired the police can’t give you a drugs test at the road because you should have your pot with your cannabis in with your name on and also the copy of your perscription. The cannabis is classed as any other medicine when driving.
Incorrect. This scenario you explain would be if we lived in a perfect world but Many street level police officers and many above this level do not know of the prescription cannabis so can and have gone on to arrest people. Also I have rang many multiple organisations regarding this matter and when finally passed to the correct person they two have informed me of its very grey area. The reason why is because it is class’s as a medication when prescribed and that puts it in the bracket of medications however because there is no tolerance of levels to blood when it comes to cannabis and driving plus the overall status of cannabis in uk is illegal that is where the grey area stands. Even the “feeling impaired” thing stated by these private companies is a grey area because of an officer pulls you over and let’s say “don’t take a liking to you” and does a swipe and as it would it comes up positive, you explain you are a medical user and he goes on to say “yes but, I still believe you look and are driving as though you are impaired” he will arrest you and you will be prosecuted. People have and still will continue to be prosecuted for this until the law is set correctly. I understand some people have gone on to have successfully thrown out court cases but some also have not and that is the true definition of a grey area and also the reason for me to being able to take that risk.
The law re; driving with medicinal cannabis is very grey, like any substance it has a legal/prescribed limit in which you can operate a vehicle, even if you do not have a prescription the prescribed limit exists. It’s incredibly low. if you are over this, like any medicine there is the potential for a medical defence however all the police / CPS need to prove is impairment, now impairment can be proved by a sobriety field test (which is now rare in the UK) and the fact that you are over the prescribed limit accompanied by an officer stating they assumed you were, based on reaction/physical appearance etc will likely be accepted by a judge as proof that you are impaired. That is a scenario in which you are pulled over and tested with no antecedent. If you are pulled due to an incident or a crash, the fact it is in your system regardless of prescribed limit etc will likely be enough to convicted because of impairment. Also, a point about police not being able to test, the police can absolutely under the road traffic act initially pull over any car, they do need suspicion to require a sample for analysis however the fact that your using medical cannabis will likely provide them with this suspicion. It’s important to remember they are not testing due to assuming the cannabis will be illegally possessed but because they believe the driver is impaired, failure to provide is a separate offence and carries an automatic driving ban. So even arguing this point would render someone liable for prosecution. It really is lose lose, I haven’t posted all of this to argue, however I was/am in a similar predicament with pain and what to be prescribed and what to pursue, I’ve posted this is in the aim to help someone make an informed decision re; cannabis, driving and associated risks The video has been very informative and helped me in making a decision, it sounds as though we are in a very similar situation. Thank you and good luck on your journey.
Hi James, I suffer with Fibro and Ankylosing Spondylitis. I went private for the canabis oil. It worked wonders but worked out way too expensive as I was paying for an appointment every 3 months plus the cbd and thc oils. I tried the bud, but i had to use their vape with it, 180 quid, and I didn't get on with it. The appointment was £50 every 3 months. I got up to 0.5 twice a day. It worked well but was costing me too much. Mine all together over 3 months cost me around £540. If the cost of living didn't go up, I would have carried on using it. Great stuff, I thought. I've lived with Fibro for over 20 years. I find cold helps me a lot, and a hot bath. I think it should be available for pain sufferers. My strains, I think, were hybrid. But not 100% Can I ask what company you use?✌️💜
I take it for my arthritis and it genuinely helps me sleep every time and also if you have BPD it can really help you manage your emotions but you should have practice with withdrawals just in case you stop
People will tell you it could be dose or strain but it could also be down to your propensity to anxiety and could indicate a propensity towards psychosis even, so be careful
@@pLexTulip Thanks! I can't wait to join! I know someone who works for Integro and me and my partner are joining! We will make RU-vid vids about our experience in the new year, I'm glad you are having a safe and reliable source for you medication! 😄💚🌱✨✌️
If you have eds have a tmj splint fitted had made me fitted today tmj joint even if not painful causes fybromyalgia in so many I have Asperger's add heds had Costco horrendous fir two years anxiety OCD also ldn helps rhat
I was referred by my doctor and pharmacy to a MC clinic and have to have regular phone calls with them to keep my prescription. Didn’t need a video call. I’m in Australia though
It is outlined in the Drink & Drug Driving (1988) regulations 'Section 5A' titled 'Defences': Section 5A(3) RTA 1988 provides a defence if a specified controlled drug is prescribed or supplied in accordance with the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and taken in accordance with medical advice. Section 5A(4) RTA 1988 confirms that the defence is not available if medical advice about not driving for a certain period of time after taking the drug has not been followed. There is no reverse burden of proof. If a defendant raises this, the Court must assume that the defence is satisfied, unless the prosecution proves beyond reasonable doubt that it is not. The offence in S.4 RTA 1988 applies to those whose driving is impaired by specified controlled drugs taken in such circumstances. Section 4 RTA 1988 also applies to those whose driving is impaired by drugs that are not specified for the purposes of the offence. Given that a defendant may have a medical reason for one drug but not another, it would be sensible to charge each drug offence separately; furthermore, as outlined below, given that the limits are different for each drug, there should be separate charges for each individual drug in any event. Section 5A(6) RTA 1988 provides a defence to being in charge of a motor vehicle with a specified controlled drug in the blood or urine above the specified limit for that drug, if the defendant can show that there was no likelihood of him driving the vehicle while over the specified limit. This is similar to the defence in s. 5(2) RTA 1988. I'm just copy pasting this from another site so don't shoot the messenger ;) How I read that is that having a medical prescription is your defence, it is up to the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that your defence is voided. As for the costs, alternaleaf and mamedica seem very reasonable. Mamedica in particular appears to have a patient access program for those receiving benefits or are veterans, £200 seems to be an all in fee with no further charges except to purchase your medicine (which at least as far as I can see on medbud.wiki is cheaper than most). Other wise alternaleaf is £49 for (basically) appointments. I'm only just investigating this all myself at the moment as it was news to me just a few weeks ago that you could get it prescribed privately.
I have found 90mg of Douloxtine has helped me with the fibromyalgia. At first i was shaking and sweating due to the high dose but that does go away within the month or so. However one of the side effects is not pleasant and thats the constipation with overflow diarrhoea. Can have you in adult nappies for few days as you have no control over it. Pain level is low and stable. Im maybe a 2 or a 3 never been this low snice being diagnosed in 2015. I have an appointment on the 20th of july for medical cannibal oil. What Brand did you try? Im in Australia, so i will find out prices.
Lyphe clinic are £50 dr appt. Their dispensary is Dispensary Green, they have a discount on their noidecs range and can also prescribe and supply pretty much any canna medication. Repeat prescriptions are £30 for dr to write. You see dr then have 3 repeats then see dr. Or, £50, £30, £30, £30, see dr etc.
Im not sure why you couldn't stay at the lower dosage not causing anxiety. You dont ever have to max out on cannabis to get some form of benefits. And using before bedtime and not while performing activities like driving, going out for dinner.
Its terrible we cannot get medical cannabis on the NHS. I personally do find it helps my pain but some strains do my me anxious some help. We are all different. I have changed clinics it is hard iv no money left but thc is the only thing iv found to touch my pain for Fibromyalgia. I hope you find sometime that helps for a little help is a lot of help to us Fibromyalgia warriors ✌️💜
Hello James. I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia a couple of years ago. Still haven't found any medication that I would say helps me with the pain. Been reading a lot about medical cannabis, but when I checked the prices I got shocked. Here in Norway 10 ml cost 450£. Can't afford that. Would like to see if it helps or how much it would help me
They totally dont know what there doing! Here in michigan its legal and ther are differant strains. Sativa strain will give you anxity but Indica is to calm you down. Its great for me, wish it was legal for you. dont blame you for not doing it. Alcohol is the killer, cannabis is a healer! Love you for all you do!!
I suggest smoking or vaping aswell lad, ask your dr if the extract I assume they gave you extracts are smokable extract, if they are then smoke it, less than a mil at a time leave it alone see how you feel and if you can tolerate more have a little more. these drs don't really know all to much it seems, I would never introduce someone to cannabis and give them the strongest form out the box, what the gave you is the most potent form that exists if it is extract!
I’m sorry you experienced the panic attack side bro, dependant on which type you’re taking this is a normal effect your body is panicking because you’re not used to the effects of THC probably and you may benefit from the CBD type’s better. Try smaller doses and stick to what works for you, hopefully you get this resolved as what works for me is great I try flower tripoli 20 I had the 19 it was too weak for me and I use a vape and have controller cartridges to choose the doses myself. Stick to the CBD as for fibro pain try a different strain have a lower THC like a 10% anything above 15% is considered particularly strong and sedative and you shouldn’t operate machinery with that level. Let me know if you need any help! I think it’s giving you paranoia it doesn’t agree with everyone but you have to understand the side effect of paranoia and occasional anxiety once you tell yourself it happens you deal with it a lot better Tell yourself “it’s just a side effect it’ll pass give it ten minutes” take your time and adjust also when it comes to driving I wouldn’t at all when driving I’d take it when I get home as I use mine for sleep but I suppose you could microdose for pain throughout the day or depends on your specific needs.
But they're correct do, you've got indica and sativa, only that by itself are 2 huge differences, but when you're talking about the strain itself, it goes even further, in your situation it's annoying though, but imagine you can just go to a shop, ask/get help with the strains, then it's easier!
Why did you decide to try this type of medication if the CBD has been working well for you? Just curious not a troll comment Also it seems the doctors dont understand dosage's with people who haven't experienced THC before
Hi James. I live in the United States and the laws are different depending on what state you live in. It’s legal where I live for medical reasons. Like you, I had never done any drugs of that nature and I didn’t want to smoke anything. I chose to try the gummy’s for my fibromyalgia. It didn’t help first of all. It’s also very expensive here. You buy it from a legal medical marijuana dispensary. I was on a very low dose and only had been using it for about three months. At that time it ended up with me being admitted to the psychiatric hospital for 8 days for attempting suicide and a new diagnosis of kidney failure. I refuse to ever touch that stuff again! THC is not for everyone. I pray you find relief from this awful miserable illness. I went back to my pain medicine, muscle relaxer and Valium. It helps, but it’s still very miserable. I feel as though it’s stolen my life. I was a nurse for many years until about 2016 and I had to go on disability. I also have several other autoimmune disorders that came with the fibromyalgia. Praying gets me through it. I’ll be praying for you as well 🙏
I got a prescription for ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, anxiety and depression. I was super nervous because whenever i smoked weed in the past I'd have a savage panic attack. I got prescribed sunfarms pink kush and honestly it has changed my life. Deals with my pain, helps relieve my depression and it keeps my anxiety at bay. I only use it at night as I don't feel safe driving on it and the chances of me driving at night are slim. It has changed my life for the better.
Dude, I've just my second scrip ( I've got Scolliosis ), and after all the pills and a lot more that, I'm not going into here. But weed has really helped me. I started smoking way back in the day. Now I've only just started again. Who did you go with, I'm with mamedic. Bro i have panic attacks and it affects people different ways, my mate cant smoke THC but he smokes CBD only. So i understand were your coming from. Why didnt you just buy some off mateie down the road or someone. Im not rich. Im on PIP bro. As for your driving license you can if you got a script. Its prescribed. Its like your meds you take anyway, like mine. So if your affects you dont drive. Same as pills that make you drowsy. Its actually cheeper than buying off the streets mate. You need to ask more questions and not take one point of viwe. Sounds like you went to the wrong place mate. Dont write it off, sounds like you had a bad experience.
I have to say, The only way to try these medications is in the field. I don't think this medication is for everyone. Plus if money can be made, then people will try to make it. Good luck finding help with your Fibromyalgia.
Not being weird or anything matey maybe you should change your job to being a model seriously, just shi k with the CBD mate at higher doses , I've ordered CBD flower for the first time for anxiety sick of all the tablets I have high hopes 😂
Problem I've got I've been using cannabis for medical use for around 20years meaning I've got no medical notes 🙃 😅, so I can't be a medical patient on yhe NHS 🤷♂️ any1 else having the same problem?...regarding your problem you had,I would just lower the dose fella and up it over time 👍🏻
The police may arrest you but in court it would fail and you wouldn't lose your licence if its prescribed you have to know that your not impaired before you drive that's the condition to driving on your medication having a medical cannabis prescription is a defence in court
I have several conditions that are included in those listed for medical cannabis, however they've been refusing to grant a prescription because of my previous treatment for hepC caused a psychosis (as well as totally destroying my immune system, leaving me with autoimmune conditions for which medical cannabis is actually recommended since most of the drugs they now prescribe are far too toxic for my liver to handle. I've even had a paramedic going through my medication and she said to me "are they trying to F ng kill you or what?" To which I replied, "you shouldn't say that" to which she replied "well I probably shouldn't say F*ng, but are they F*ng trying to kill you" To which my reply was can you please have a word with my Dr's about it because they really don't listen to me anymore Talk about a really really really nasty catch 22
He most likely got the tattoos before he developed it but also at least for me although I feel things as more painful as they should be, my pain tolerance is still higher than most people without fibro because I'm in pain everyday and I've had to get used to it. I've never had a tattoo but I'm pretty sure I could handle it.
Tell them you will only try CBD strains. Especially if your going to be driving and reacting to THC with anxiety. Remind them that your paying them alot of your hard earned money for there products.
Sounds disgusting lad, But is you throw it in some caps and bang it in colon you wont have the negative effects and you will have all the benefits, look it up
I used to weed recreationally for years in the 1970's. When you get a new stain and smoke it you will feel a bit paranoid. As you continue with it you become used to the effects. It stays in your system for days. Generally, it will dull your reactions so driving does take more concentration. I sprained my ankle and was in a lot of pain. When I smoked it did not lessen the sharp aching pain. I have fibro now but weed is illegal where I live. I doubt weed's effectiveness against pain.
Search for the belief of Islam and search for destiny in Islam and submission and reading and contemplating the Qur’an may help you Maybe this is the last solution , James! May this get you a great result You can search and judge by yourself May Allah guide you to Islam ,James!
Lol.. sounds like you just had soke bad quality stuff dude. Can be high strength and bad quality at the same time.. and can definitely tell you hadn't used it if you think smoking it give you or adds to ailments 😅
