What days yaar 1. Saurav captaining and still talking sensibly than today's captain. 2. Sachin Tendulkar man of the match and his patent line "the ball was coming nicely on the bat" 3. At 4:27, the crowd goes berserk when he says we beat them 4 times in a row. now its 6 times. waiting for the 7th time on 16th June 4. The good old days for Mandira Bedi as a presenter.
Ah! Feeling nostalgic... Still remember the day. It was Sunday ig, 1st March. That was the day of mahashivratri. And I was 7 then. Everybody from my colony gathered at my home for that match. I didn't had much idea about Shivratri back then but I kept fast for the first time in my life that day. We all were watching that match together. What a fantastic day that was. But at the time when Sachin got out, it was already dark (night) in India. I became hungry as I hadn't eaten any food all day long. But I didn't wanted to break my fast so I took a bowl of pomegranate and kept watching the match while eating that. As the night grew darker and Sachin had already got out, a fear of losing the match also grew inside me... I just kept wishing for India's win. And while eating the pomegranate and wishing for India's win, I fell asleep... xD It was only the next day I discovered that India had won that match I thanked God that my fast, my wishes hadn't gone in vain... That was the first international cricket match of my life I completely remember. Uske pahle bhi dekhe hai but yad nahi...

+Mustang 1981 With due respect, I think Virat Kohli is way better than Sachin Tendulkar because whenever Virat scores a 100 India wins unlike Sachin. When Sachin scored his 100th century against Bangladesh India lost that match. Accordig to me Sachin was a great player but not the best.

shaz sohail first of all, sachin was a part of a fucked up side for the most of his life time. so assigning blame for defeats on him is ridiculous. this is why cricket or anything for that matter has to go beyond statistics and is certainly not black and white. there are very many shades of grey. people that have played competitive cricket will tell you the beauty of tendulkar's feat. im not from mumbai mate. but i love him. he is the best ever.

so was my childhood ,i learnt cricket for him,sachin was cricket for mine,i literally stopped watching cricket on a regular basis after his retirement,i watch only the big tournaments .He was my first love and crush.that sachin innings in sharjah is still fresh in my mind,i couldnt sleep on that day.
God bless Sachin! No other words can express this man's greatness. So modest so humble, and such a dynamo of a cricketer ... India will miss Sachin when he retires ... :(
Sad to see the Pakistani people booing Younis. Ganguly got great cheers even after losing the final. Pakistan played well in this match, they shouldn't have booed..

it's not just about how many runs and centuries Sachin has made in his career but also how he used to bat. Each and every single ball played by him was a treat to watch. Even when he left the balls were a treat. Watching him on screen was enough for my day to go really well but of course, I felt so bad whenever he got out early or in the 90s. Golden days those were.
I don’t think we will ever see a player like him...who will bring Smiles on billions of Indians...records will break one day...but his stature will be forever...

That was the first ever world cup I watched and I discovered this game during that time also. And boy! I feel in love with this game. Before that I just knew the name Sachin Tendulkar. But as a Kid what I loved the more during the 2003 World cup was that tiger 🤩 hehehe.. i used to wait for a six to see him dance and his other moves. Wish they reintroduce that tiger in the next world cup.
