Some stones can't be tested with the presidium like Opal, Turquoise ect. It's good to know which stones so you know which ones will need a different testing method. I'm a reseller my self and have been using the presidium gem tester for over a year. It's amazing and helps not only in my confidence of what I'm selling, but has increased the value of my items (I can now list a clear topaz as topaz instead of CZ). It also helps to have a lot of knowledge of gemstone types to help decipher which stone it is exactly. The Presidium is a great tool to help point you in the right direction of what a stone is, but the rest is the knowledge you have or gain through research. You're going to have fun with it, I promise. ❤

The presidium is a good gem tester. Jewelers do use these, and it's a well known brand.

Diamond selector 2 using style is completely wrong madam because that machine work with temperature if you test by diamond selector you should first see information from that machine back side they put a temperature table and adjustments before testing the gems

I'm very excited about this one, thank you. I bought a diamond selector, and there it sits. Turns out I'm an antique/vintage glass/stone junkie amongst others, and am still having trouble telling the two apart. I will now wait until I have some peace and quiet and rerun this. I'm still confused about where/why I set it at which number, but you've given me a lot of confidence thank you!

The opals should read as opalite

Opalite is glass, not a real stone. Opals will not test as Opalite as they are natural.

Hello, do you purchase raw stones? Are you interested in any color of Vesuvianite? nephrite? I have a couple videos of rocks i have if you'd like to see.

You need to switch the button on the machine to calibrate it, read your instructions again before trying to teach others the wrong way. I dont mean to be rude but this business is about reputation and those selling stones need to be doing it the right way otherwise people lose confidence and the whole industry hurts. The whole new age witch craft filth is doing enough damage.

I did this video 2 years ago as a unboxing and clearly state that I was unfamiliar with the tester . Thank you for your input. I wasn’t trying to teaching anything. Maybe I’ll do an update on it .
