Case background: On Friday, October 7th, 2022 a woman from the Kansas city metropolitan area escaped her kidnapper's home in Excelsior, Missouri and was taken to the hospital, where it is reported that she is in a stable condition.
A search warrant was executed and what the police and their cadaver dog have found have led them to believe this will be a multi-day investigation, where a LOT of evidence will need to be processed. Timothy Haslett Jr, the man who lived at the house with his young son, was arrested on Friday. He has been charged with first degree kidnapped, s/a, and 2nd degree a$sa*lt.
Excelsior Springs Police Chief Greg Dull said in a news release that there were “numerous items in the residence that have to be sorted through and it is a slow, painstaking process.” The investigation was ongoing “and additional charges could be forthcoming if evidence of additional crimes is uncovered,” he said.

If this goes to trial, I feel even worse for that brave young woman having to testify. That's cruel. 😢 Genuinely hope she is healing and that she knows (as well as you, dear reader) that you can still live. No matter what you have endured, please don't give up. Thanks for this. I live pretty close to this area. As a real estate agent i sold homes in this area. I had no idea they finally charged him. As a local it has been crickets on this case forever! I haven't searched for any updates in a long time so was shocked to see your video but happy to see something is finally happening.

Cannot even imagine how this poor lady felt when they didn’t follow up on what happened to her. In these small southern towns, they probably thought she was a lunatic, like how Charles Vallow was treated when he tried to get help. I only hope that one day LE will start to understand and help people instead of automatically assuming people are just off their rocker.

Not southern. Midwest, center of rhe U.S.- just north of Kansas City. The police had been ignoring this for years. The fact that they would refer to a victim as a witness is appalling.

Thank you, so much, for the update. Only about 30 minutes form my house. About a week or two before she escaped, there were complaints saying we have a serial killer in the area, due to numerous missing women from the Prospect area. And then she escaped, one of the missing women... that no one was taking seriously and weren't making an effort to find. Crazy world.

Our garages typically look different. There used to be stock rooms that look similar but that looks converted Edit: added that tidbit because there's monsters that hide people in walls or under houses. If he converted that's "garage", Id want to see some digging. Great coverage

So, they've only been able to connect one murder to him. Can't help thinking there's way more. Guess we'll have to wait and see if they find more evidence. Super scary. I really hope there are no other victims of this guy. I hope the woman that got away can get the help she needs to overcome what he did to her. Hope he's imprisoned for life, with no eligibility for parole.

@@justMelissa72 You know how they say there’s x number of unknown serial killers? It’s true. My nephew was and none of us had a clue. He and two buddies, sA & other horrendous stuff to 3 s workers. They don’t always work alone, they are often opportunistic & whoever is a weak person becomes their prey. His mother, my step sister had a nervous breakdown and has never really recovered. I asked her what he said when she went to the police station and like a normal person I asked if she thought he really did all that stuff, and she told me yes, and he went into detail, & that’s when she lost her mind. You can’t even look at people the same way ever again. Our parents were killed by a drunk driver when I was 14 & all 5 of us kids were finished being raised by my grandma.I guess it’s a good thing our parents never saw what he became. It would have killed them if they weren’t already dead. Sorry for being graphic, but it’s so horrendous. Him and the other two guys are all serving several life sentences with no parole, and they brag to each other about their deeds.i just wish that people could realize that these guys are not that picky and they will and do get whoever they can.

All the blue barrel talk reminds me of the Drew Peterson case here in Illinois. His 4th wife Stacy went missing and was never found. Supposedly she’s in a blue barrel. Her husband was a police officer and after Stacy’s disappearance he was charged with his 3rd wife’s murder.

This evil monster wrote the judge in his child custody case defending his character. Timothy Haslett is upset because he ex-wife is going for full custody ofhis son and received an order of protection.This is was done while he is in prison for this case.

I am glad you’re covering this. I remember hearing about when this came out. I remember reading that people had been reporting of missing Black women in the area and nothing was being done. The local police were getting heat about this. I believe the the local Black church community had to keep putting pressure on the police to do something. And now it’s interesting that the district attorney (not sure) noted at least two times that it doesn’t matter where you come from, how much money you make, or your race that they will seek justice for the victims. Just an observation. Justice for the victims. 🙏🏼
