So happy to see this! I’ve got a smaller power pot -8 qt. I think. I’ve been scared to try the canning feature. You make me want to give it a try though. Thank you!
Great video from one Texas gal to another! I’ve had my PPCXL for a while and have been scared to use it for canning meat because I haven’t found any instructions on that. So glad I found your video and channel.
Hi, great video. I got one of these canners at a second hand store but it didn't come with booklets or drip cup. How much water do you add to can and is it ok not to have the drip cup thingy? Thanks so much
I'm not sure on the drip cup I do know you can buy them on Amazon. As far as the water I go about half way up the side of the jars. I have done a lot of canning video's using my Power XL! Here's the link for the drip cup amzn.to/3mkFbA0 Good luck!
I have a Russell Hobbs pressure cooker, I don’t have a canning temp . So what temp would it be for canning?. I’ve had difficulties finding info here in Australia. I think my pressure cooker is similar to the instant pot.
I had a PP Cooker XL and used it so much I wore it out.....I never canned with it though. Instead of buying another PPCXL, I bought an insta-pot and I wish I would have bought the PPCXL instead, especially now that I want to start canning....and I know nothing about it! With the PPCXL, do you have to know your altitude? I will watch your videos from the beginning to learn. Thank you. I want to be ready, or help someone else be ready, when the zombies come....LOL.
No It's a it's a power pressure canner XL You can do the same things you can with a Instat pot but you can- can with it as well. Thank you for watching Ms. Lippy!
@@MamaZsTexasKitchen I can't do this anyway. So sad! I live in Colorado and my altitude it more than 5280, which means no power pressure cooker for me.😭
