Is there a general way to know if your pressure washer will pull from a buffer tank or is that something you would need to ask the manufacturer? I imagine you should be able to tell from either the parts that were used to build it, or maybe how those parts operate, but I haven't found a good answer on this.

Generally speaking Most Belt Dr.,, Pressure Washer's will pull from my puffer tank because of the way the RPMs are designed to run on the pump but you could always tested with a short piece of hose and a bucket of water

Gravity is your friend on this and it free simply mout your pump level with the bottom of the tank or even below if you set up allows run your feed line from the bottom of the tank to your pump. I have pumps wount about 4 to 5 in off the deck and have not run into a situation where I can't run my tank out. Stop before you suck air its hard on pumps. You want a reinforced line that can't suck shut I personally run the clear hose with the reinforced plastic spiral found at most hardware store in an 1 -1.5 in.

Amateur, mount you pump right at the bottom or below the water column will be feed by gravity. 4.5-5 gallons a minute but at what psi? 5-6 gpm @ 2250-2500 psi. Much less your just rinsing off mud and much more your damaging paint easily. Hot water is a must espaiclly for industrial or you'll be wasting time and money on chemicals. The melt frame water tote is the sine of and Amateur , in many state the not legal for tha using and attract unwanted attention as there columning used to transport chemicals that need licenses. Trailers are also for rockies. Get a proper water tank like farmers use many are even designed for the back of a pick or larger tanks for flatbed. Trailers aren't as mobile as a truck rig a 4500-5500 are the best many have widened front axle for better turning radius and the wait capacity for a single large tank. But you can start off with an older 3/4 or 1 ton with a smaller tank or possible even an old box van for same or less. Make some money build a nice setup on a flat bed and keep the old one for backup.
