I noticed in the previous videos I made that I am showing this symptom which is associated with anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and mania. I wanted to take a moment to point it out so so that others could understand what it was and to talk about managing some of they psychotic symptoms I have.
This video caused me to think about thoughts which led to the following post, which I'm pretty excited about. Check it out if you are interested: www.realityrev...
Thank you for watching.

You are the only person who actually shows pressured speech. Thank you for sharing.

I think you are doing a great job & communicating through anxiety can definitely be painful (can definitely cause pressure speech). Thank you for sharing & how to cope ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Shame is a big one. Let’s normalize mental health issues.

P.s. I just subscribed, so I'll be seeing you again, I'm sure. Interesting channel. I'm sorry, I think I mistakenly thumbs down your reply the other day.

Hi Lisbeth, I'm going to respond to your three last comments at once here. I hope that's okay. Thank you for subscribing, I appreciate the support and plan to start posting some more videos soon-- I've just been taking some time to work on some internal stuff that has come up. The situations you describe sound like they would be very difficult to be in and intensely stressful, especially if you are unable to get away from the people who are talking at you like that when you are anxious. I hope that there is some relief in that situation soon. It seems like you a really resilient person who has been through a lot and I think that resilience is a really valuable asset and something to be proud of. Even though pressured speech could be part of the intensity and persistence in the way the people around you are talking, it sounds to me like they are also exhibiting symptoms of disorganized speech. If you are interested in more information about that a google search can bring up some of the basics, but disorganized speech patterns have to do with types of talking that don't make sense and sometimes don't include actual words. There are different subcategorizes about types of speech as well. Disorganized speech isn't something I have personally had as one of my symptoms which is why I haven't talked about it, but I have met people who have had it in the hospital; it can be unnerving to witness and probably very difficult to respond to if you are the person being approached with words that don't make sense, if the emotional intensity of those words is high then I can imagine it being very stressful like you describe. Thank you again for your comments and support. I will do my best to slow down and take some breaths, but I really do appreciate you reaching out and I hope that things get less stressful for you soon.

@@Reality_Revision yes, thanks. And perhaps I'm incorrect in thinking that pressured speech means that the person can't stop talking. I may have mistakenly assumed that was part of it based on the people I know. I have done a lot of googling trying to find out because it affects me. But yes, disorganized and incessant. Thanks for educating me!

@@lisbethbird8268 It's possible that those are part of the symptom that I've overlooked. Symptoms are just ways of categorizing things and they develop over time as we learn more about them, I talk about my experiences and the things that I've learned but there is a lot that I do not know, so I appreciate you bringing those qualities of speech to my attention.

But, do you ever start talking and find it absolutely impossible to stop?

Hi Lisbeth, I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to respond. I haven’t been feeling well and had to take some time to rest and go inward. No I don’t think I have ever experienced it being impossible for me to stop, in someways for me it feels the opposite- like I’m trying to keep up with something but at some point I can’t and all the thought disappears into silence and then I just stop in the middle of what I was trying to say. Is finding speech impossible to stop a common feature of pressured speech?

@@Reality_Revision yeah. By definition. It's a little scary because it's hard, fast, relentless, and doesn't make sense. I've experienced in a few different people. If you haven't...imagine someone talking continuously for 48 hours....or, someone so anxious and delusional that they must keep on talking, or they might relinquish control over others. Sometimes it's just torture to listen because every f'd up thought is broadcast at you like radio from an ignorant planet. Sigh. That's not you. If you've been subjected to it, you know. You'll feel brainwashed. Thanks. Feel better! People care.

Lisbeth, you don’t have to answer if you don’t feel comfortable but are you talking about an experience where you felt that you could not control the energy running through you or where you have witnessed others who did not seem in control of their words? I understand the type of experience you are taking about because I’ve witnessed it and I think I’ve experienced a similar feeling which I express differently, thought it is hard to say because we all have different ways of interpreting things. I’ve struggled with voice a lot so when the uncontrollable energy and voices surround me it’s usually experienced in uncontrollable convulsions and actions that don’t make sense from the outside. It might not be the same exactly as what you are describing but I feel like it might be in the same arena. Is there a reason you are asking about it though?

@@Reality_Revision these are situations where others are unable to stop talking at me, even when I have asked them to stop, repeatedly. It makes me feel very anxious and even tortured if I have to listen to it for too long. The people who do it probably are not aware because they're generally manic/hypomanic. One had a bipolar1 diagnosis. An ex-housemate had diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder. The speech is not just incessant, but truly bizarre in content and the way it's strung together. I suppose the reason I was looking into this though, is that I felt that another person who was seriously afflicted with this symptom seemed to be doing it at least in part as a manipulation, and enjoyed watching me go mad. I would quite literally go into fight/flight/freeze stress response. (Flight/freeze being my reactions depending on the situation). She would only do it in private; never when others could observe her behavior, and seemed to wish to deny that there was anything wrong. She finally admitted to me that she "might be on the spectrum" (she most definitely is, I 've seen many other symptoms, though she tries to hide them) and also has an ADHD diagnosis. I have wondered if stimulant meds (Ritalin, then later Adderall) for the ADHD might have played a part. I thought that she was manic, based on seeing pressured speech in others who were. It's distinct, and to me, unmistakable. It is not ordinary talkitiveness or nervous chatter. But apparently it can be a symptom in autism spectrum too. I don't think I really understand what you describe as your own concern, but I would say it's not pressured speech if you can or do stop talking. The people who do this can't stop even if they try. Anyway, I hope you're feeling better. I just was very very ill myself ...It was from 2nd shot of vax, and I didn't expect that! But all good now. The really bad was only for a day.

@@Reality_Revision OK. I re-watched this video, and the one on shame too, and I see how you speak really fast. Is this technically pressured speech? It doesn't seem like the same thing I was thinking of because you make perfect sense. But yeah, it's fast. I can't talk fast at all. I probably talk too slow. I've got a long history of head injuries. Might be autistic. So, (like you were saying in the other video), you could be proud of this. You're a talented talker. Maybe just breathe a little more.
