Pressured to Disassociate - Email share #5 

Hi everyone who has been disfellowshipped from the JW religion. Getting disfellowshipped from that religions was a long heart breaking time but now that I've been in contact with Eric and others on JW.struggle is has helped me sooooooooooooooo much. I have lost my youngest daughter and my granddaughter but hope that will change some day. I've shared with Eric that one of my daughters was molested by an elder in Fiji where Geoffery Jackson was an elder in out congregation for quite a while. No comments on that right now but want to thank Eric and Mikey and Kim and Marc and Cora for all they've done to encourage me even though they didn't even know it. I live in Fiji and hope there is someone out there who feels the same way I do. Please Eric keep up your wonderful loving work to help others like myself. Your time is so precious and thank you with all my heart sharing it with ones like myself.

Those JW's have nothing better to do than to circumvent themselves into other people's lives, the Elders are the worst at this and set the tone for others. Disgusting behavior of those who say they love you. She will find much more love, compassion, and empathy from those outside of the organization. It's amazing the less critical I became of myself and others after leaving. I believe I'm closer to God than I've ever been since born and raised in that organization. Those forgiven little, love little and that explains the Witnesses precisely. Welcome to your freedom sweetie! Free at last! :)

Dear Eric. your website was the first one I tuned into some time ago.I know it is subjective, but I think yours is the best. Your clear and concise and blessed with a comforting bed side manner. Your trenchant views are respected because you speak from experience, and care for the welfare of those like myself who have discovered the flip side of the org.The hard work and energy that you expend on behalf of others is generously appreciated as many of us still languish in confusion and disappointment. regards

Hi!, My family and I avidly have watched your videos. Your videos are straight forward, logical, interesting and full of honest stories and truth on what JW's are experiencing. You've lived it! Listen, please don't start and stop, please continue putting up your great videos that's helping those of us that are still in. They are clarifying and illuminating and edifying when undergoing cognitive dissonance. This cognitive dissonance is tough! That fact that you have chosen to assist on this platform is helping in such a great way. I know you have lives, I know you are busy, we know its not easy. But every night we get on you tube, and for quite some time now we have been lamenting: "Yep, JW struggle hasn't posted yet." ;-( lol....But that's how we feel. You speak in a way we can feel and heavily relate to, due to similar intense watchtower indoctrination. So again, not to beat a dead horse, (but I'll nudge it)...lol.....Please don't do what so many you tubers on watchtower do. Start and stop and never continue to help in this great work. No doubt you are living your life and being happy as you've made clear in recent videos. Understandably, it isn't your job to bring us out, but the fact that you have embarked on this initiative to help us think and sharing your story is really exposing and showing watchtower for what they are doing. We need your continued additional videos and interviews...OMG, by far you always have the best and most informative and you ask the questions we want to hear. Thanks again....Again cognitive dissonance is a b****. The constant 2nd guessing: Will I die?, is this true what I am learning?, it sounds right but...but....., events in the world are rather daunting, things DO parallel the bible, the witnesses have it so sowed up! I told the Elders go ahead make my day. I served them my Lawyers Letter saying if they try anything we will discuss this in court. They moved on until a future day

Please let the lady know there are many of us who wholeheartedly support her. When we found out the things Watchtower has hidden, we just walked completely away from them. They want you to play the game and meet with them or send a letter to them. We didn't play that game, we just did as God's word says: "GET OUT of HER!" When you meet with them (Judicial) or write a letter I think you are still letting them control you.

Your free, and you will "Rise above" this. Hope you understand that you DON'T have to obey any of these JW rules. If you wish to phone your parents call them, the real law is on your side. Continue to show the love to your parents. You be that good person. Remember that real love will conquer hate, every time.

My whole life was afraid when I was in JW. I left went I was in my twenties.

I couldn't help think of the Bible verse in which Jesus said: "Ye who have not sinned, cast the first stone at her", when you brought up judgment at the end of your video, Eric. - Concerning humans, it's the best verse/message in the whole Bible.

Dear Eric, The elders' actions are in direct contradiction to the sworn testimony of Geoffrey Jackson at the Australian Royal Commission! He said under oath that someone in the exact position of this lady would not be hounded, as long as the person did not go around saying they were a JW. I would kindly encourage this lady to write to the ARC and provide them with her testimony. It will highlight just how dishonest and manipulative the gb are. the message here is good. I wish no one ever had to suffer mind control. it's truly hard to free yourself from the poisonous tentacles. even harder to realize family and friends are trapped mentally and know it but would loose thier entire social structure and for most , the belief in eternal life after a great war of armegedon, is a huge poisonous chain of fear .

wow!! i loved this! i was just in that same situation just a few months ago (well back in Sept), i was scared, anxious and just a mess! But Thanks to all of you who Ex JW RU-vidrs, i didnt feel so alone. It really amazed me how different the reactions are between JWs and "wordly ppl" when i came out as a gay dude. Non-JW reactions:"You're gay? oh cool! dont forget about my birthday party this weekend! you better go!" and well obviously JW reaction, nothing like that lol.. but all in all im with this girl and really just wanna say THANK YOU ERIC! its crazy that I've never talked to you or met you but still feel compelled to say I Love You Bro! ERIC.. Just letting people know.. JWs have gotten tricky. I had an old boyfriend from high school (1970s) stop by my house a few mo ago to give his condolences for my husband passing. I found it odd he knew any of that info. Since it had been so many years since we had contact! After chatting for 20 min he just happened to mention he's been an elder for 20 yrs!! ( he wasn't a JW in high school)I put 2+2 together & asked if he new my JW family that has shunned me for the last 10 yrs.. He tried to talk around the question but I pinned him down & sure enough, they are friends! I'm sure it was their way of seeing if I had a change of heart without actually talking to me themselves. Geez ! I googled his address & mailed him a book on JW facts ! I would love to get a judicial committee letter in my mail..I was never disfellowshipped but have been labeled apostate. If that ever happens I'll show up and hand them a letter from my attorney!

Is there an legal action at all to keep these wolves from our door and away from us forever?

Which is why I changed my number as soon as I started my fade... Didn't matter much though because they found out where my new job was and started calling there a few times a week until I agreed to meet with them. After doing my research, I decided to write my letter of disassociation and ended up moving out of state shortly thereafter. It was only after that that the harassment stopped.

only a few weeks ago I spoke up to my mom. now im being shunned even tho I was never baptised. I have my own channel and started my own videos. not sure how far I'll go with it but considering activism.

Most if not all JW's are hypocrites. Some of them really do not celebrate their birthdays but I am yet to meet one who doesn't celebrate New Years, Valentines, other religious holidays especially Christmas.

These JWs are something else... Why can't they let people love their lives? Her story reminds me of myself and the events that led to my disassociation, although the circumstances are kind of different. After I faded, changed my number and moved out of the area, my "well meaning" elders spammed my email with numerous requests insisting that I meet with them. When I didn't respond to those, they started calling my new job multiple times a week, leaving a number without identifying themselves (I recognized they were elders by the phone number they left). They made me look really bad at my new job...a newlywed woman with these strange men calling several times a week and not leaving their name. Things got so bad that I finally agreed to meet with some elders, but with elders in my new area that would be more objective about my situation. They insisted that I needed to meet with them, like I was a criminal being extradited to answer for my "crimes". It was at that moment I realized that something wasn't right about the religion I was raised to believe in. I began researching from there and discovering that I had lived a lie all my life. At the time, I felt that disassociating was my only option. I didn't hear about "fading" until after I sent my letter in. But I do believe that had i not disassociated, they would've continued to hound me wherever I went. It seems like all the JWs is the upper hand in the end. They want the control. It's a very selfish religion indeed.

Your parents are to blame for allowing this. Elders and the org only have power because are families go along with it. Says more about our families than the org, you are better off without them.

I have nothing against homosexuals but Yes it's true there are a lot of gays in the truth. I see them all over at the conventions.
