So here we have a new review, the chicks are on a roll This one's about a Presto thing that makes a waffle bowl It worked the best with waffle mix, but that was no surprise Some of the others left no appeal to most discerning eyes The biscuits looked pathetic, the cake did not bake well The only way to keep them firm is to burn them all to hell The hash browns came out under cooked, the cornbread was okay To simply make a crappy bowl, twenty bucks I would not pay One thing about it that was nice, though no cause for real elation The non-stick surface worked without needing added lubrication The best parts of this product test, at least they were for me Were the simultaneous oohs and ahs from Robyn and Cathy That's all I've got, my rhyme will hereby now come to an end Until next time, arrivederci, and so long to all my friends
You two were great together... Robyn is such a genuine woman, no ego, sincere, funny, down to earth, gentle, kind, and fair. I've never met her, but you can tell thats how she is. I bet she's a great mum and wife. Beautiful through and through.
I use a pastry brush and a little bit of melted butter just brush the insides top and bottom of the waffle bowl maker and then put your batter in cook for 2 minutes.... I used tongs to remove them . Good luck!
I watched another video that said to leave it closed until the light turns off. They don't seem to follow that at all, but I think they would get better results if they did,
It seems like you could just find two bowls that nest and heat them up in the oven, spray the inside of one and the outside of the other with some oil spray and fill the bottom bowl partway with batter and stack the other bowl on top and pop them back in the oven for a few minutes.
I would love that biscuit bowl with some scrambled eggs, sausage, and smothered in sausage gravy. Oh man my tummy is rumbling now. Thank you for the video. Its a great novelty item, but not for me. Have a Wonderful day, Be safe.
I really like their shirts. For some reason, I doubt they will sell mens shorts with the 2 chicks approved banner. But I would buy a pair or 2 if they did.......
For Hashbrown Bowls, you need to use thawed tater tots (I set mine out in the morning in a bowl to thaw but you can thaw them in the microwave). Set the tots in waffle bowl maker to "cover" the bowl, but that is how I do "hashbrown waffles" and it works perfectly every time. It is a combo of the potato being a smaller dice and the oil that is on them from being par fried. I have tried to make waffles with the simply shredded potatoes and it didn't work in a standard waffle maker either.
great review but wheres the bacon bowl, or the sausage bowl, or a omelette bowl? loved that look Robyn, when Cathy said "no pressure but i made it work". HAHAHAHA!!! how would it work if you put other ingredients in the batter as to if they would change the cooking time like putting chocolate chips in the waffle batter, or peppers in the corn bread? i think its kinda cool to have to play with but i like many others have no room to store it. thanks for the laughs, "Cathy you cant touch this!" HAHAHHAA!!!
I just tried a bacon bowl, the bottom was extra crispy and the sides weren’t done. It was a mess to clean up! I think peppers in the corn bread would work. Chips in the cake mix might work as long as they don’t melt out of the cake. Thanks Ken!
Brilliant review once again lassies.I need to see if this is available here in the UK. It's freezing cold here in Scotland & yous 2 are dressed in shorts & tshirts. Not fair lol :D :P
My suggestion is not to us a FORK rather use a silicone spatula works great Also if you want it to cook a bit longer.. open the lid and let is sit for another minute or so
Another great real-life review. I'm not sure the waffle bowl maker is worth the trouble and storage space. There's a local ice-cream place that makes waffle bowls so if I ever feel I need a waffle bowl I can go there.
I gotta say, that's pretty slick. I think you should've disregarded the burning smell and let it cook longer. Maybe it wouldn't have burnt and it might've been crunchy. Maybe.
When I use my regular waffle maker for anything other than waffles (cookies, biscuits, etc.) it is too hot. I adjust for this by unplugging it after 30 seconds or so. There is no other way to reduce the heat.
Just seeing this review. I have to say, I really enjoy your videos. Just a suggestion, if you put the food in a small bowl to cool instead of on a flat plate you might have better success with them keeping their shape. Keep up the good work.
Looks to me like it’s a good idea to spray with cooking oil before using it EVERY time? Your batters might have been a little bit too thick for it?? Maybe thin them out a tiny bit first ~ not too much!!
Not the product for me, but a good review none the less. Also i like the 2 cent chicks shirts! Now you should do a review of the shirts and talk about why everyone should buy one 😁
Great review.....For me I feel like this is just one of those gadgets I would play with once or twice and then it would sit, I dont have room for alot of extra kitchen appliances....its a no go for me lol
I want the waffle that you use for ice cream :) hash browns little less potatoes 5 min then add scrambles eggs and ham and cook another 2 or three min....breakfast bowl :)
You ought a check out a new skillet called diamontechpan it's so strong you can jump on it with a pogo stick without scratching it or even leaving a dent.
A video like this really gets on my nerves especially when I truly need to see if a product really works so I can go and buy it. It is very annoying and a waste of my valuable time when youtubers don’t take the time to create something good and they are just goofing around. These ladies act like amateurs, both in the kitchen and in making videos. You'd think they’d have the right utensils to use the gadget so that they don’t burn themselves and it’s not painfully awkward just to get the bowls out. I understand that non-stick finishes require that you use wood or silicone utensils and here they are using metal forks and they are so clumsy that they can’t eve n take the waffle bowls out. Obviously, different batters require adjusting the consistency and cooking time. The problem is not the product, but these two ladies that don’t know how to use it. Presto should be very concerned about people like them misusing their product and in so doing stopping people from buying it.
It amuses me to watch you ladies try not to trash something you don't really like. I agree, for my purposes it is useless. I am sure there is someone with a huge amount of storage that *needs* this for their chili parties while watching football. But...not me. Thank you for the entertainment.
ALL SAVE ME SO MUCH MONEY and ARE THE BEST LAFF MEDICINE TOOOooo... will yawl test one of the night visors to see can you really see better at night .."O) HUGSSSS
