This bus had a shop do simple tasks like airbags, shocks and an air dryer. Everything they touched was completely screwed up.
The discovery of no oil in his hubs was absolutely crazy. One seized bearing put up quite a fight.

When using an air chisel like that, wear thick gloves and maybe a face mask. The hardened tip can chip off, like it did to you. Back in late 1970s I was doing the same thing, I think to remove locking lug nuts. The tip chipped and went into the back of my hand into back of my knuckle. Did not even bleed. But hurt like hell. Went to ER. Doctor said nothing is in there. I said take an X-Ray, then they saw it. They had to make a cut in the back of knuckle to get it out, then stitch it up.

Bus repairmen who don't know what they are doing are just like auto mechanics that don't know what they are doing either. I had three tries with three separate mechanics who thought they knew how to install freeze plugs and the fall failed. I finally found an 'old school mechanic' that even knows how to repair new car problems and installed a replacement for the leaky one when it blew out. Needless to say, he has been my 'go-to guy' for years now, just like Scott and his customers!

You actually can go after repair shops and crap work. Save your receipt and the work order that shows what was ( repaired ) Take video/pictures of what it actually looks like. Contact BBB for your state. Also contact your state DMV or whomever is responsible for repair shops. Hire a reputable lawyer and sue. I would say sue for huge dollars. Consider replacement cost for the coach and monetary value of lost wages if you/loved one died in an incident because of crappy/non existent repair. Brake job and oil change are (2) of the easiest repairs to do. That's why all repair shops use those items to get you into the shop. It's easy to spot worn pads and dirty oil at a repair shop. ( Under the lift or over the pit ) Shame on any repair shop that sends you on your way in a dangerous vehicle.

Repair shops would rather replace an RV rooftop ac unit, that to service. More money. I brought mine in for service, as I had neglected it for a few years. They connected their diagnostic tester and said it was toast. I know that it needed all the leaves and stuff under the shroud that was restricting the air intake removed. So I said, "No thanks." Brought it home and dd it myself. Always get at least two evaluations on big repairs, and watch some RU-vid videos on the problem so you can discuss the issue, ward off potential fraud.

Lots of comments here putting all the blame on the previous shop for the dry hubs, but they actually may have filled them. The bus owner admitted he wasn't even aware they needed to be checked periodically. They could have leaked slowly over a period of months without anybody noticing. Probably not, but it's not an absolute certainty that the shop was to blame.
@BusGreaseMonkey

Previous shop didn’t do anything to the hubs. They put new shocks on the tag and new airbags. Probably should have noticed no oil in them but they didn’t do anything to the tag hubs. He just bought the bus in Minnesota and drove it to texas. Hired that shop then came here. About 2500 miles no oil in those hubs. If they were leaking that much there would have been a mess. No mess they were empty. Perhaps serviced but never refilled by previous owner? Who knows

Yes I agree the shop that initially did the work should be held 100% accountable for everything that was wrong after they "fixed" it but saying that the owner needs to face some of the blame because listening to him he had no idea what a proper pre trip was because he should have been checking the airbags bearing oil and brake adjustment and not only checking it but also knowing what to look for without knowing the whole story it seems he went from a rv with springs and juice brakes to a bus without doing any research on what he needs to be looking at and for before he starts out on a journey
