There is nothing unique about them dont tell me you havent listened to this type of music in every truck, cab, weddings in North India they just added a down tuned guitar on top of it. I live in Delhi and THIS type of music is exactly why I started listening to metal. This stereotypical north indian bhangda music fused with downturned distorted guitar is definitely not the best thing Indian Metal scene has to offer.

This band is called a band with no genre for a reason! they varry from Regge R&B To Folk-Metal-Punk ... compare their "Space song" and "No escape from Balkans") Arka'n Asrafokor- TOGO (also worth of note is Skinflint from Botswana but they don't ussualy have much folk elements) Al-Namrood- Saudi Arabia (They played metal when it was punishable by death... IT DON'T GET MORE HARDCORE THAN THAT!) Hassak- Kazakhstan (it's an ethno band but listen to their song Amanat and tell me it don't belong on a metal concert) The Hu- Mongolia Nine Treasures - China/Inner Mongolia DreamSpirit- China Wagakki band- Japan Nini music- Taiwan BLOODYWOOD- India Alien weaponry- New Zealand Shepherds Reign- New Zealand/Samoa

Check out the HU from Mongolia, they do traditional throat singing, but they metalize it. They play Mongolian instruments as well. I love Bloodywood, been watching them for a while. The best thing about other countries is when they talk about people uprising and not being able to sing, they mean it. Not like Rage against the machine who has completely become corporate. Loved it Steve, would like to see more content like this, especially if it's got a NAGS.

They are Malaysian of Indian descent. Kind of 3rd or 4th generation people born and bred here in Malaysia since before WW2 brought in by the British. This band and their SambaRock as they called it was introduced by them in early 90s as people like them and me trying to find our place in western music culture among other races in Malaysia being accustomed to Indian style classic music from India itself. Since we couldn't match India we mixed both and this is one of the many mixture of music culture that came out. During that time there was no Rock,Pop,Rap back in India so we had to come up with something.

Pole here, Dziady (in English: Forefathers’ Eve) is a Slavic holiday, dedicated to the spirits. It allowed you (presumably) to contact the other side. After the Christianity entered the Polish territory, Dziady was forbidden, and the practitioners were persecuted. Not fully successfully. Dziady stopped being celebrated across the country, but in many places (preferably distant from the religious centers) was practiced for many years. Our ancestors made sure to appropriately accommodate deceased relatives. Food and drinks were left for the souls. The important function of dziady was also to help spirits to get to the other side. To assist them, people were lighting the campfires, that were showing them the right direction.

My only complaint is that You Tube didn't recommend this video sooner. My playlist just swelled. Do more of these World Metal vids!

New Zealand and India nailed it for me. The incredible clash of cultures blew me away!! Edit: PLEASE, turn this into a series. Monthly or better yet weekly!

Welp, I think I found a new band to check out. Bloodywood, they were freaking killer! I also love that they used traditional instruments and loved the bhangra influences too. All these bands were pretty awesome though. The Indonesian girls are awesome! Thanks for another awesome video, Stevie! Hope you’re well.

If you're fan of mixing traditional sounds along with Metal then check out stuff the checkout Motherjane-Broken, Agam-Manassi Dussaham, Mrigya-Ganga, Orange street-Candywalk...these are few Indian bands and songs that come to mind right now. If youe like them then dig deeper...Lots of amazing stuff by Indian bands out there. Cheers🤘🤘

@@hakancarlsson2881 their 2022 release of Aaj is pretty sick. Reminds me of Linkin Park at parts but then gets super brutal.
