Prevent this Common Manometer Mistake 

Outstanding information. I have been using my monometer a lot this winter and this is very useful information to have. Thanks.

I only really started using one this year and this video is super helpful making sure I'm doing it right. The pressure switch test feature is great too. I like showing customers the readings. I can say "This is what it SHOULD be. This is what it IS. That's how I know it needs replacing." It's not personal.

The differential reading may be important with gas valves in some cases. For instance we may need the inlet pressure to be 1.5"WC minimum above manifold pressure for the gas valve to regulate properly. So without the proper differential the manifold pressure drops.

It took me two times to watch it, but the explaination really clicked after watching on the second time. Thanks for the video!

Good information Bryan. I've found, in most cases, that technicians are getting incorrect information because they failed to read the instructions for their meters/electronics and assumed that they knew how to operate them properly. Unfortunately, even senior techs.

I have the same manometer. It seems like the reference point to atmospheric changes, so it throws the measurement off. I have to pinch the tube disconnect it and zero it out to atmospheric again. It seems like the measurement wanders. I’m wondering if my manometer is just faulty or if they’re just all like that?
