Understand the science behind the prevention of caries by use of Silver Diamine Fluoride 38%.
Evidence exists, and more is emerging, on how topical applications of Silver Diamine Fluoride 38% is a safe and effective method to prevent new caries formation on high-risk tooth surfaces. The presentation will summarize the available and emerging evidence, the method of action and the application sequence/frequency to achieve optimal results. Explanation of how to code and bill for this procedure with CDT D1355, a new CDT code effective on January 1, 2021, will be discussed.

• The evidence for the use of Silver Diamine Fluoride 38% to prevent formation of new caries.
• The application/re-application technique for optimal results.
