www.playbill.com/video As they wrapped NYC rehearsals prior to taking the show to its pre-Broadway home in Chicago, Stark Sands, Billy Porter and the cast of the new Harvey Fierstein (book) and Cyndi Lauper (music & lyrics) musical "Kinky Boots" previewed four of the show's songs for the press. Based on the film of the same name, "Kinky Boots" is the story of a shoe factory owner (Sands) whose business has fallen on hard times - and the cross-dressing designer (Porter) he takes a chance on in the hope of bringing business back to life. The show, directed by Jerry Mitchell, will play Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (Oct. 4-Nov. 2) before beginning previews March 5, 2013, at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

I saw Kinky Boots on Sunday and fell in love with this musical. It was crazy good!

It's British movie from around 2005, about the true story of an old English family shoe business that, upon his father's death, the son realizes is going under until a chance encounter with a drag queen getting bashed that gives him inspiration to try a new product--creating fantasy and fetish shoe ware for men who want drag boots. It's actually a pretty heart warming movie, and I think available on Netflix. I'd recommend it.

My uncles work on this amazing show! I met alot of the cast and they are all so awesome and talented. Especially Stark, he's my favorite :))))) I love his little voice crack during Soul of a Man of this video!! Lol but he's the best. Like ever.

to date, Kinky Boots won six tony-awards including Best Musical as well as Best Score for Cyndi Lauper making history as a first woman to win this tony award. Now celebrate 100th year on Broadway, kinky boots as into eight languages and played in eight countries around the world.

Kinky Boots has to be the BEST musical based on a movie to come out in the last decade. Stark Sands & Billy Porter are BY FAR & AWAY my FAVORITE Charlie & Lola. They just brought the characters to life onstage the same way Joel Edgerton and Chiewetel Ejiofor did in the movie. And Annaleigh Ashford was AWESOME as Lauren. I first saw her as Glinda in Wicked and thought she was AH-MAHZING.
