We rode on to the ferry at Dover and rode from Calais on the Euro Velo 5 towards Lille. From Lille we got the train to Strasbourg. We would of ridden the Euro Velo route all the way, but the main focus of the trip was the bikepacking route through the Mountain forests of the Alsace Region of France and we only had ten days available so we mixed and matched our routes. We wild camped used campsites and sometimes the occasional hotel at the start and end so we could get ready for train journeys. The bikes were both Salsa Fargo with Salsa frame and fork bags. The handle bar bags and panniers were a combination of Ortileb and Carradice.

The weather was between 35 and 42 degrees everyday. Plenty of ice cream was eaten and coke drank. It was an amazing trip I can highly recommend it.
