Timeless is right. I went for an 03 when I bought last year. Better engine, less work had to be done. True to some of the comments here they cost big $ to keep up. I’m lucky to have skills and built a garage large enough to service mine myself. I look at it as a hobby. Keep the old girl going. Slide and all.
That's a beautiful coach for the money, and it's a PREVOST. I love these non slide coaches, less to go wrong with them especially the expensive slide repairs.
Make for a great Granny Flat, ( Guest House) to stage along side of the Home w/ RV Lot. Many homes are doing this, build lattice patio top over the unit and landscape around the coach, install water feature by the door, bingo, this unit would accessorize many homes back yard-side yards. Also, seeing these coaches elevated on stone veneer raised foundations, to give it that Mts effect. If this unit was parked next to swimming pool, awesome effect for any professional back yard.
Andrew, thanks for the video. My wife and I purchased a 95 Prevost Country Coach XL-45. Planning to take our first trip soon. Keep putting out the great content. I really enjoy your videos.
Man this thing looks a thousand times better in this video than it did even looking at it online. The online listing pictures cant really capture the fit and finish detail on these things. I wish it came on the market a couple months later lol. The new owners got a good one!
Pretty sure I've run into this coach or one very similar on my travel adventures. I remember the paint scheme. Reminded me of the early 2000 Baja boat graphics when I saw it. I remember thinking this coach pulling a matching 32 foot Baja would be a sight to behold.
Andrew, with all the videos on Prevost that you've done recently and with the obvious admiration that you have for them, I was wondering how long it would be before you started talking about getting one yourself. Good luck; I hope that you find one that works for you.
I am with you in all points, hindsight is 20/20... I wish I would have bought one like that instead of my newer Tiffin. There is NO COMPARISON on build quality and longevity on chassis and powertrain. I would opt for a no slide instead of the quad slide I have now. No doubt about it, makes me sick...
I guess that paint job was the shit back in 1998 huh? Still, 200k miles in a 21 year old coach ain't bad. How many owners has it had? Are there precise maintenance records, etc. Great coach for under $100k. Another great vid Andrew and as always stay safe and give Sadie some love for me.
The issue with Premium Coach Group is nobody every calls you back when you try and talk to them to buy one of their Coaches. I have emailed and called and never heard back from anyone.
You show the inside and closets etc..., but the two greatest things on these coaches are the chassis and the detroit diesel. Why not show the engine bay and under carriage, etc... Just food for thought on future video. Thanks for sharing.
wide awake 4% sales tax (Arizona is 8.9%), SD registration on our motorhome $275 (Arizona $3,300)! Our 2020 Jeep Rubicon SD registration $55 (Arizona gets @ $900 a year)!!! And NO MORE STATE INCOME TAX!!! We moved to Arizona 24 years ago, we had pensions from another state, Arizona taxed that pension for 24 years!!! NO MORE.....tired of being raped!!!
Ok... there is a Prevost for sale ... sunset and McLeod here in Vegas ... stainless and black... for sale from a dealer .. just saying... google would be your friend ... or I can drive by and get a number and pass it along to pass along...
@4:29 upon opening the door to the head you state, "...good size head room here..." and you stick your head in for a look around but never move the camera so your viewers can glimpse the toilet area -- all you ever show us (the viewers) is the WALL! If you wish to be a videographer, keep your head in the game -- remember you're filming a video and your camera is your first tool to communicate, your mouth is your second, and your words -- well, it's always best to keep them to a minimum. ;)
Robert Allen I agree the woods are with high gloss to the point of looking like plastics. The beddings look like it comes from a 1970’s Holiday Inn and all the interior designs look like it came from a 1980’s drug dealers pad with all that funky lighting and mirrors. Leisure Travel Vans and AirStream make the best exteriors and interiors. They have a more modern design. Winnebago started coming out with a more modern coach this year which is a good sign. The sail boat industry does a good job with simple modern interior designs and I wish RV manufacturers would wake up and start updating their RV’s. I think they design for the older Midwest market.
I think you can do a conversation within a budget but if you know something about design that would help. Knowing what materials to use and what to take out. Avoiding that disco lighting would be a start. Using a satin stain on woods vs a gloss, using neutral fabrics. Get rid of any gold trim and mirrors. Take a look at what the sail boat industry and how they design their new 40-50 foot catamarans. Get rid of that 80’s ceiling fan. I am betting a coach that old would need a new engine rebuild. Sorry that lighting looks like a 70’s disco. That has to be taken out.
Prevost is a commercial passenger car bus. Regardless of who does the conversion the most significant part is the bus is it’s stainless steel monocoque design
Russell Pottenger No. Prevost produces the (excellent) bus chassis/shell/drivetrain. What makes the basic Prevost package special (and where the most $$$ are invested) is in the conversion. Liberty and Marathon being our preferred converters.
I'm going to say this for the LAST TIME 🕰👀 I will like a Motorcoach RV that I can have all my HOT WHEELS..IF AND ONLY IF YOU CAN MAKE ME ONE LIKE THIS I BUY DON'T CARE HOW MUCH..TRUST ME I'M NOT EASY TO PLEASE I BEEN LOOKING AND LOOKING NOT ONE I LIKE FOR ME AND MY CAR'S!"😢💨
Andrew, I stop watching ANY video when the narrator's first words are "WHAT'S UP EVERYBODY?" If you start with a phrase that inane, prospects for whatever comes after that are just not great!!!
