I drive for a drum corps who owns 4 older Prevosts (the one I drive is a 2003), and they all drive quite smoothly. If money were no object, I’d own one myself.
4:23, it's funny you talked about the Secret Service, because they bought 2 X3-45 in 2011. Code name "Ground Force One". And it almost look the same, but it's all black with the President seal.
This is a great value and a very nice coach. Even missing those items that would have been found had this been an RV conversion, this is still a great coach for “real” campers who can afford to camp in luxury. It won’t last long.
As a Touring Lighting Tech I love seeing videos of all the different busses out there. I've toured on many of these and they are ALL DIFFERENT no two tour busses are built the same which makes them super cool and unique.
Love it, this would be the perfect Nascar infield coach for a group of friends, those cargo bays could easily be outfitted with refrigeration and a barbecue.
i always felt that those tour buses are the way to go. More places to sleep. Not everyone is ready to snuggle up to their racing buddies at night. all the cooking is done outside. no need for a huge kitchen. put an icemaker in one of the bays.
Wow i love the black paint and chrome look luxurious stealthy. a nice black leather couch and some darker wood highlights would be great make it pop with some colored pillows and some grays blacks and some green orange
As a touring Lighting Tech it's not necessary but a lot of busses I've toured on have it. It allows the front lounge, bunk row, and rear lounge be set at different temps.
I’ve been driving coaches since 1991. Flxible, GMC, Gillig, MCI, and Grumman to name a few. Nothing beats driving across the country in a Prevost. Nothing.
Going in the back, it kept reminding me of my Revcon. Two ques. First was the drawer slides are the same, so they make the same noises. Secondly, the wrapped Formica cabinet doors. When they close, you can hear they are hollow, with just the Formica wrapped on a frame. Very stable, but also light weight. But when you get that everything feels tight, with a high level of fit and finish, that is a big part of it too.
I'd turn the bedroom into a home theater. If you need to sleep you can bunk it. But most of the time on the road you want to be entertained and those in the front lounge could do their thing but the theater in the back is showing films non-stop. TCM, Warner Bros, Sports...also it has a bar.
Nicely appointed artist coach without being flashy or gaudy. The interior personalization can be changed easily. If I were 10 years younger, I'd consider this a solid investment with some basic updating and lease it for touring. With base rental, per diem, and mileage this coach could pay for itself in a 14-18 months. Keep it in lease until the engine needs an in-frame rebuild, then retire it from the fleet and have Roberts Bros re-convert to "star coach" floor plan and keep it for myself an an RV. Ah, I can dream, can't I?
Beautiful coach, what an incredible deal, this coach won't be broken in for another 50 thousand miles. Anyone have a spare mill I cld borrow?? Had to ask. Lmao.. great video Andrew also a great deal keep up the great work brother safe happy and healthy travels to you all
If you promise to pay it back I don't see why someone wouldn't do you a solid and loan you a ticket. If I had a few million I would loan you one for this bus.
Please don't promote that you illegally sleep in bed while the coach is driving. Everyone needs a seat belt when it's in motion. What company do you work for?
One, when the forward salon/bunk house bulkhead is, passenger side. Nice size, with a shower. 100 gallon fresh/combo waste tanks so not showering all 8 passengers every day!
I’m more than interested it’s just perfect for traveling in style. My only concern is that for a coach that can accommodate so many people the kitchen is totally inadequate with one burner. It’s the one part that lets the bus down. Don’t forget this has been used for business and thus the price could be improved to the advantage of the buyer 😉 Are the sofas available for use as beds? I have spotted an area that could be used for a second 🚾 & with passengers it would be advantageous. I’m interested in speaking to the seller and need to search for the name and contact information. Thank you so much Andrew 🖤🩶
Entertainer coaches have small galleys and disproportionately small fresh and waster tanks for the number of passengers because most of the time, those passengers spend much of their day not on the bus, and they have access to showers, rest rooms, catering is served on site, and the back stage area is more secure than a cluster of buses. Also regarding galleys - most band/crew buses have no cooktop at all, but some artists will order a custom kitchen (Pat Benatar is one) because they love to cook every day. The size and type of galley, number of toilets, a shower if present, and how the passengers are using the coach determine needed holding tank capacities, frequency of service, etc.
