Fantastic episode! Don't think I've ever seen Hi Lo before for that type of prize, and I love the brief run where green instead of red indicated the top winner.
This was one of the first times we heard the regular "Walking" cue for The Price is Right. We started to hear more brassy cues for cars about a month later, like Big Banana, Bean Stalker, and Family Feud.
I wish they had the whole gameplay of the original playing of Cliffhangers, because it was originally played with 4 small prizes on the pedestals. and instead of having from 0 to 25, they have lines from the bottom to the top of the mountain.
They tried to put that tessellated tapestry on everything...(12:16) Kinda looks like Johnny Carson's desk during his early years in L.A. from a distance
So strange to see Temptation played 4th...in the very early days of the Hour Power they had more time to do so but usually the games in the 4th slot tend to be quicky games. The Showcase Showdown wheel seemed either much lighter back in those days or a lot less tension on the wheel than they have had in more recent years. I imagine the tension was made tighter as there has been less and less time for the show due to more and more commercials.
