@@DrLoriV , the overall discussion of glass is what I find interesting because it arms me further to be able to recognize these kinds of pieces should I ever spot them during my thrift store trips. I don't start out looking for specific pieces. If I did that, I would have missed out on pieces that have been worthy of getting. My age helps me the most when I'm out there. I know what used to be made and know what is being made now. When I find a piece of glass, I especially love the challenge of being able to identify it. Knowing about the manufacturers of glass helps me a lot. When I watch your videos, I always learn something new.
This is the second week in a row that RU-vid didn't notify me of your new upload 🤨 I was on Ebay looking at Victorian Mourning jewelry, I just found a sterling silver spider web brooch with amethyst stones for $13.00 and thought "I wonder how much Dr.Lori would appraise this piece for" Then I realized it was Monday, and I didn't see a video from you last night. I hope you're well ❤❤
I have 4 of the pink depression glass desert dishes with saucers. They belonged to my great grandmother and I love them. I can relate to many of the things you show on this show! TY Dr. Lori!
I hope you are staying healthy & sane! I cannot wait to attend one of your live events in Pittsburgh when the world returns to normal. I think I have watched almost all of your RU-vid videos, as well as any talk show or news programs you've been on. I'm running out of new content, so I find myself rewatching everything lol. And your website has me digging through the garage and unopened boxes from decades ago trying to find that hidden gem, which I may have actually found!! Fingers crossed. THANK YOU Dr. Lori for giving all of us an abundance of useful & interesting information without an agenda! Your honesty, sarcasm and witty personality always makes me smile! I love the fact that you truly just want to teach people. I just wanted to let you know that you are appreciated 😊
@@Jenna.Im.Just.Saying Sorry you missed the live feed and my recent events in Pittsburgh. Happy to hear you are enjoying my videos and website. Tons of info and new videos on the way. I appreciate you taking the time to write!!
Lol! Dr. Lori! You crack me up! “You must live in a clean house. Look how white his shirt is!” And, “We don’t eat fruit anymore. We eat fruit roll ups or fruit loops.” And loved learning about the different dish types of the depression glass and what they were used for. Thanks!
I always wondered why people threw away uranium glass in any condition. I just love how it glows. It would look amazing crushed and as an accent under a UV light.
Ooh I saw some jewelry on the table. I hope you will be doing a jewelry show soon. I’ve watched all your other ones and learned a lot. Jewlery is my passion and I’m beginning to love vintage costume and silver too. Thanks for the education :)
Hi Dr.Lori. I have been watching your show and I'm learning alot and at the same time enjoying your videos! I'm from Manila.may I ask where can I email you the picture of my old mompo ( wine used by priest for their mass) bottle which I bought in a thrift shop here in my country?thanks.stay safe.6/22/2020
Hello Dr. Lori, I just found you and what a true gem you are. I'm actually learning a lot listening to you! About 20 yrs. ago at a yard sale I purchased 8 plates - The Spring Floral collection, they are beautiful, but, I have only used them sparingly. Thinking about selling them and wanted to check out if they are worth anything and the get the best price for them. I think the first video I viewed of you had the plate on display. Appreciate all of your wisdom!
Dr. Lori i can't wait to see you again! When covid lockdown is done I'll have to take a road trip for sure....getting my girlfriends & items together & waiting anxiously. ❤
Hey Dr.Lori. It seems the piece I usually like the least & wouldn't purchase, is always worth the most. So I guess all of my stuff has no $ value. 😂 Hope your'e having a blessed Sunday! ❤🌻💜
@@DrLoriV , thankyou! I went to Ontario before the pandemic and found the glass on the left. I thought I could use it with my pink Fostoria (June) but the color is too orange. It's an orange/ amber color. Bought two for $3.00 but one has a hairline crack that I can't use.
My Mother used to get on our cases if we didn't have our shoes shined. When I quit law school and went home to tell my parents, I made sure my shoes were shined before I arrived home.
Haha thats amazing! Luckily my parents supported my choice to study fine art history instead of pharmaceutical chemistry. If u love ur work u never work a day in ur life!
Ain't much worth anything now. People have little income and or certain income. The dollar is not going to be worth a dam thing. It is typically worth what you think it is
People are still paying top dollar for stuff. Don't make the mistake and let something go too low. There are many people out there who still have money!!
