He relied on those fast power bombs in his last fights too. I can’t imagine how fast no hard his fists must have hit. When I first watched all of his fights I wasn’t too familiar with combat sports. I suspected most of them were rigged. I still think some may have been but seeing his final UFC fights, either Chael Sunnen threw the match or Fedor had one of the top 3 freakish bombs as far as speed and power of all time.
fedor and mirko the best champion of mma fighting by far. I understand why u say you almost forgot he was so explosive as he truly did change after his marital problems and it showed in the ring. But prime fedor still left such a mark that i doubt any fan of mma could ever come close to forgetting his explosiveness. It beats pretty much everything since.
I remember Gary’s sister used to tell tales about how when she’d go to Japan when Gary was fighting, Japanese men would offer her great sums of money to do the weirdest stuff, like eating food off of her feet.
he would do it in under 10 seconds. Out of all the fighters in history - even in k1 - in pride - in ufc - in all of boxing even - i can't think of a more overhyped fighter than he. Jones is a shame to the martial arts and mma communities.
Fast forward to 8:40 to get to the actual fight. Geezus, almost 9 minutes of BS to get to about 50 seconds of actual combat.
Believe it or not fat is where endurance comes from. Why do you think distance runners have that skinny fat build? If Fedor would have thinned out his endurance would have suffered.
@utmosdemos3645 That's true to a degree but with this instance, I'm pretty sure you agree he coulda easily been 205 and carry perfect fat. Maybe even 185
@@fongsungjaupseio5542 Yeah, he could've made those weights, but I will push back a little. Have you ever wondered how these guys would've performed if the just fought at their _walk_ _around_ weight? I think Fedor is the answer. I marvel at how fluid, strong, and efficient his mechanics were, like a well tuned engine. I believe that's what gave him his edge. Tinker with that motor at your own peril.
@utmosdemos3645 not needing to cut weight is a plus for sure and not needing to rehydrate. If EVERYBODY agreed to fight that way, the quality would be higher. The thing is, people choose to cut because they don't wanna be outweighed fighting someone who cuts. Like say Conor weighs 170 - 180 and fights welterweight without needing to cut against GSP or Matt Hughes who cut from over 190 and rehydrate themselves back to close to that weight.
@utmosdemos3645 which for the record makes GSP and bad bad man Same with Crocop and Rodrigo Nogueira. GSP barely cut anything to make 185 to beat Bisping who once had to cut to 205. Nog, Crocop weighed as low as 219 220 in some fights and possibly lower.
