My 92 year old mom had a used Pride Sundancer Scooter that she got for $100 five years ago. She had to replace the two lead acid batteries last year. A month ago the drive paddle "got loose" and she couldn't control it. She called several companies to try to have someone come repair it. She finally got someone to come. They told her the unit was too old and they couldn't get parts... then they sold her a new one.
I drove down to visit last week and picked up the old scooter. I didn't have a service manual, but I took it apart. It was pretty obvious that the throttle pot had a broken spring. I was able to find the part at Monster Scooter parts ( www.monstersco... ) for $35!
