Your channel is amazing EVEN compared to the most popular reaction channels on RU-vid. You know how to perfectly edit your reactions and the length of the movie clips you play. Tired of watching chopped up reactions with 3 second movie clips with a big watermark over the scene they are watching. Plus you guys actually watch and talk insightfully instead of just babbling over and missing important scenes of the film. And this is the only male reactor that I've seen who gets emotional, shows disbelief and actually understands the amazing cinematography and storytelling of the films he watches. 10/10 channel and you guys will only grow☝️💯
I am so glad you guys watched this! It was Edward Norton's first role and he was amazing! I will never forget how I felt the first time I watched it. Marvelous!
Hello, April, yeah, this was an amazing movie with an amazing performance! Thanks for watching along. "Every man dies, but not every man really lives." (:
This was Edward Norton's first major role and he was nominated for an Academy Award beat out by Cuba Gooding Junior. Edward Norton Jr said since no one knew who he was no one would know him or expect the twist. Phenomenal acting and amazing script. My favorite Richard Gere movie
Yes, absolutely. Oscar-worthy performance. Also, I say more about it in my "Afterthoughts" video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N-6dZfjHy2A.htmlsi=XbJvWAsaV0XOS0EK
Well, doing extra work in a movie is not really anything to be proud of. Anybody can do it. But it was great to see it after only seeing a screenshot of it! (:
Norton's film debut. Unbelievable. It's cool the gentleman had an extra role as a court guard in this minor classic! Man the 90s were great. A movie like "Primal Fear" was a typical mid-90s "throwaway" you'd check out between stuff like "Heat" and "Casino". The throwaways were classic back then. RIP Andre Braugher, too.
Yes, what an amazing debut!! Should've won the Oscar. Seems like the 90s had some of the best movies ever! Can't wait to see more. RIP A.B. -- Thanks for watching. (:
Yep...Andre Braugher's passing was one of those notably sad ones to me. I've appreciated him in his movie roles such as in this as well as in "Glory", but he will ALWAYS be paramount to me as Detective Pembleton (sp?) from "Homocide"!! Damn...the magic of Baltimore of that era...to him in "the box" with a suspect...oh chef's kiss.
I love this movie. This is still my favorite performance by Edward Norton. All of the performances were stellar. That's so cool that you worked on this movie!
Yeah, Norton's performance was out of this world. And yes, it was great working on this film. I talk a bit more about it in my "Afterthoughts" video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N-6dZfjHy2A.htmlsi=jG617eyo0DbtCb7i
Great movie. Ed Norton should have won the Oscar for this. Especially the scene on the stand where he flips out. My roommate in college had this cassette tape. It was the last VHS tape we ever bought. Then DVD came out and she got a combo player with VHS/DVD for Christmas that year (2002). Love that Cameo Mike....you should have saved the police uniform for prosperity.
Hi Melissa, yes, I agree, Norton should've won the Oscar. If not for that, then at least for American History X. Haha, yeah the VHS tapes. Unfortunately, the Police Uniform was the property of Paramount Pictures. (:
@@BossMovieReactions I know. I totally agree. He starts off strong with this role and is unreal with his portrayal of Derek Vineyard in American History X. And I figured as much about the costume.
Hi Robert, yes, Norton is indeed brilliant in this film and others. Btw, "Primal Fear" is listed as Norton's first motion picture. I know there was also a title "Only in America", but that was a "video" and then there was "Everyone Says I Love You", but its release date is listed as Jan. 1997 compared to "Primal Fear", which was released on Apr. 1996. I mean, that's just what I saw on Imdb. However, we all agree that his performance was brilliant. Thanks for watching! (:
Awesome reaction, I LOVE this film. Ed Norton is a brilliant actor, if you want to see another movie where he is incredible, The Score from 2001 where he plays Brian is great as well.
Hi there, thanks for your suggestion. Yes, Norton's performance was Oscar-worthy. Also, I put "The Score" on our list about an hour ago. Thanks for watching! (:
@@jaysreacts Yes, and in case you haven't seen our reaction to it, here it is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K6yXMX-Dsug.htmlsi=eG2y1bJNdxvCNmVq
Hey guys, love this film, i'm sure you will enjoy this, you guys are great . May i recommend " Angel Heart" with Mickey Route and Robert DeNiro. Haven't found a reaction to it yet:)
I love this movie, one of my favorites, and I enjoyed watching it with you guys, I've watched this countless times. It was so cool seeing you in the movie! If you want to watch another movie with Edward Norton, that's shows his brilliant acting, watch "The Score, it also has Robert DE Niro, you'll love it!❤
How many movies have you guys been in? I had no idea, that's great. Im glad you two have had success in your business. You seem like really cool people. I like seeing people like you have success.
Thanks, Sally, that is very kind of you to say! Regarding your question, there's, of course, a big difference between "being" in a movie like an "extra" or having a "speaking" line. Once you say ONE word, everything changes. I personally have been in over 200 movies, TV shows, and commercials, but only as an extra, which means nothing. I did have a speaking line in the TV show "Clueless." Jessica has done quite a few independent films, but we mainly concentrate on producing our own films. Our latest adventure you can check out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TRzEMD58mMA.htmlsi=x1QfuDbIuIvIGT76
Great choice and can't believe you don't watch the films you are an extra in 🙂I held my breath during the last scene in the cell, waiting for it to click with you both, just stunning. And the camera literally turning the world upside down as Richard Gere walks out. He broke his own rules, as he said when he met Aaron - I don't have to believe you, I don't care. But he started to care as Roy manipulated him into it and he lost his way. Just brilliant. Loving all your reactions so far! Two suggestions for future courtroom dramas (I adore them too!) that may be less well known. Class Action (1991) with Gene Hackman. And an incredible performance from Paul Newman in The Verdict (1982) written by the legendary Sidney Lumet and directed by David Mamet. A forceful, slow-burn legal drama that packs one heck of a punch!
Hi, thank you so much for your encouraging words, and thanks for your suggestions. Yes, I agree with your analysis regarding Martin Vail. "The Verdict" was already on our list, but I added "Class Action." Thanks for that. Regarding not watching the movies, I simply couldn't. Not only was I dirt poor, but I didn't have a TV or VCR (no streaming back then). Also, I worked in about 200 movies, TV shows, and commercials. Imagine trying to watch them all while working 6-7 days a week. But now it's time to catch up! (:
@@BossMovieReactions Oh cool. I look forward to The Verdict and Class Action in the future. Wow, your extra work certainly kept you busy and just about fed by the sounds of it! I feel lucky that we can get to enjoy them all with you both! Sending appreciation from Sunny England!
@@yzolakitchi Thanks for the appreciation from England. Btw, we just had two film festival screenings in England for our movie UNNAMED. Jessica won "Best Actress" at the "Ramsgate" film festival and we won "Best International Film" at another one. So, England likes us! ((:
@@BossMovieReactions Huge congrats to you both!! I just tracked down the trailer on the Ramsgate Film Festival website. It looks like a very gripping and relevant story. Will the full film be available to stream at some point?🙂
@@yzolakitchi Oh, thanks for checking it out. Yes, the film will definitely be available on streaming next year. We're currently talking to all kinds of distributors who all seem to want to screw us (as usual), but we're holding out to see what the best course of action for us will be... (:
59:20 I love that camera shot, where the camera angle flips upside down, great symbolism of the situation. Also Richard Gere was perfectly cast, because he often seems smug (not just in this movie) and someone who loves himself a bit more than most people. And he got played in the end
This movie floored me when I first saw it, just an amazing story and incredible acting. I don't know of anyone who figured out "the twist" at the end until Aaron/Roy revealed it. Edward Norton was crazy good in both Primal Fear and American History X.
Thank you for an awesome reaction. Primal fear is such a great movie. I am so happy to see you reacted on this. I subscribed you two. I hope you will reacts to my other favorite movies like *Rat race *Usual Suspects *Long Kiss Good Night
Some more court room drama in case you've missed them: A Time To Kill (1996) A Few Good Men (1992) 12 Angry Men (1957) - well to be precise it takes place not in a court room, but in a jury deliberation room
I cannot tell you how excited I was to see you watching this. This is one of those twists nobody sees coming. And I really enjoyed seeing you in the movie. That made it all the more special. Hi Jona, I'm not sure about food reviews or restaurant vlogs, but who knows, I've never really thought about something like that, so we'll see once the "future" is here. Haha, my favorite meal of all time? That's a difficult question, probably some medium-rare file mignon with some creamy mushroom gravy... Hmm, now I'm getting hungry. But in general, Thai food is some of my favorite food, but I also love a good burger. Anyway, like I've said, it's a rather difficult question. But one thing I know for sure, you're in the queue for a shoutout! (:
@@BossMovieReactionsthank you so much Mike yeah I understand also some people may not be completely comfortable filming themselves eating in a vlog but now that you’re thinking of it just consider possibly with your wife would def be a fun video. First of all, the story about your "extra" appearance is just adorable and funny. Second, I've been watching for a while now and I can honestly say I look forward to your reactions more than any others. Third, I'm at the point now where I just hit the thumbs up before watching because I know I'm going to enjoy it and you never disappoint. Keep up the good work!
Hello Carment, thank you so much for your kind words and your gesture of hitting the thumbs up before you even watch the video! Haha, that's great and we really appreciate it!! THANK YOU!! (:
Would love to see a reaction to "Come And See" from 1985, it's the film which inspired Spielberg when making Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List and is regarded by many the greatest war film ever made.
This is a great film, I used to own it on VHS back in the day and watched it so many times. Not watched it in years now. Norton's performance was stellar! Today we call it Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). This is the first of two films Edward Norton stared in as a character with DID, the second being Fight Club. Another great film on the subject of DID is _Split_ by M. Night Shyamalan. One things that stands out to me now and has become a pet peeve of mine is court room inaccuracies. 28:25 The prosecution cannot present new evidence at trial without following the rules of discovery; the defense must be aware of all evidence against them. Councilor Vail should have objected, and either had the evidence dismissed or asked for a continuance to prepare against the evidence. Even then it can be grounds for a mistrial. Great double plot twist! Awesome reaction from you guys and it was cool to see a young Mike!
Hi, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the film. Yes, DID seems to be correct. Also, I was curious all along about how accurate the court proceedings were, but I'm not too familiar with legal affairs. Great double plot twist indeed! Thanks for watching! (:
There just aren’t better movies than this. Norton. Omg. He’s so brilliant. And yes. Psychopathic sociopath. Really a thing and they live amongst us. Scary as hell.
Hi Patti, yes, I agree, this is a fantastic movie and Norton's performance is Oscar-worthy. Yeah, psychopathic sociopath, scary indeed! Thanks for watching! (:
Great reaction to a great movie. An excellent choice, and you didn’t disappoint. Few things are as rewarding as a top notch courtroom drama. One that I’d like to recommend (and it’s my #1 of the genre) is ‘The Verdict’ (1982) directed by the great Sidney Lumet. The story is tremendous, outside and inside the courtroom. Paul Newman plays a washed-up lawyer seeking professional redemption, and his nemesis is a powerful lawyer who runs a prestigious firm (beautifully played by James Mason in one of his last roles). The whole cast is excellent from top to bottom. Can’t recommend it enough. It was great seeing you onscreen so long ago. I’ll bet you have an interesting story. I’m always fascinated by people who uproot and move into a different culture. It’s bold and admirable.
Hi David, thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate it! I just checked our list and "The Verdict" is on our list, thanks for the reminder! Yes, coming to LA from Switzerland was quite an adventure, and it still is! Thanks for being part of our journey! (:
What a twist in this film. I vaguely remember seeing this film long ago but couldn't recall the story. Was glad I watched this with you. So cool to see you in uniform in the courtroom! Now this was a pretty serious movie. But If you'd like some courtroom scenes, a lawyer/cop, and a love pretzel (instead of triangle 🤪) with a barrel of laughs then look no further than "Fatal Instinct" from 1993 with Armand Assante, Kate Nelligan, Sherilyn Fenn, Sean Young, and Christopher McDonald... what a movie!
Yes, what an amazing twist or twists in this film. Happy you watched along with us. I checked our list and "Fatal Instinct" wasn't on it, so I added it. Thanks! (:
I saw this movie in late 1996 with my cousin, and the ending blew us away. The musical score also played into the angst of various scenes (Dulce Pontes, and James Howard Newton)
The absolute masterclass in courtroom movies is Sidney Lumet's outstanding debut "12 Angry Men" from 1957, black and white, the entire film happens in one room and yet it can keep you talking for hours, it will not age. It is quite the sort of movie for the 2 of you.
@@BossMovieReactions On the subject of mesmerizing b/w movies I would like to suggest Alfred Hitchcock's 1940 "Rebecca" based on the novel by Daphne Du Maurier, it is a fascinating study in human nature.
Edward Norton is SO high on my list of favorite actors, and this is a great example of why. Please also react to "Rounders". Another Norton classic. It's a poker themed movie, but even if you're not into or don't understand poker, it's still just a straight up great movie with a starstudded cast.
I know I’ve said this before, but you’re a very good editor. You really capture just the right amount of footage/response to immerse the viewer and not cross the RU-vid boundaries. 👍
YES, thank you!! It's quite challenging to get passed the copyright bots and every movie seems to be different. Last week they suddenly blocked our "Face Off" reaction video, which got approved 3 weeks ago, so I had to create an additional 18 different versions (33 different versions altogether), but I still couldn't get it passed. After filing a dispute they finally let it go through. Crazy! Primal Fear took about 40 hours of editing and it passed the first time! (:
Haha, yeah, we just noticed a long time ago that 99% of people get the who and whom wrong, so it's always a delight to hear it used correctly. Not that we're perfect ourselves, it's just some "inside" thing. Love back at you! (:
"Ooouh...wooow... Ooh wooow......Okay honey.........do you still have this uniform?" Hahaha! Nope. But he'll better make sure to get one soon. :D Love your reactions.
One movie I wish more reactors would do is "Always" (1989) which was directed by Steven Spielberg and featured Audrey Hepburn in her final screen before her passing in 1993.

I’m so happy you covered this one. My favorite courtroom drama and I’m so excited you got to be in this, Mike. Norton was actually snubbed for an Oscar for this one, sadly.
Frances McDormand from Fargo and Terry O'Quinn from Lost. This movie was famous for the twist ending. It's unusual that the lead character isn't good. Also unusual ending but he deserves to get his come uppings.
This was my favorite courtroom drama.... until I watched "A Time To Kill" Norton's work was amazing in this film and the fact he was an unknown made the twist even more worthwhile
That last part with him standing there staring at the street was his deflated ego. He can't believe how he got outsmarted by some kid. Awesome you were part of such a very entertaining film as well.

This is one of my favorite movies I didn't see it in theaters but when I did I became an instant Ed Norton fan. Another great film he was in is a movie called The Score starting him and Robert de Niro. The title explains the movie but not the Fabulous acting
the best protrayel i have seen in a movie of a psychopath, is probably "Nightcrawler" with Jake Gylenhaal. I'd love to see the two of you watch that movie. You will be impressed! :)
I was going into my freshman year in high school when this movie came out. The one thing I always wondered as a kid that no one can still answer to this day..what is it with priests/pastors and Cadillac’s???!!! 🤔🤔
If you like movies like this. Please consider doing a reaction for A time to Kill. It's another great courtroom movie. Also some other psychological films similar would be Identity. And you might wanna consider going into the M.Night Shamaylan universe. With all his other films, especially Split.
I am thinking who could of played better that role then Ed Norton, I don't find anyone who could of played better then hi, honestly this is brilliant, I always think that Pacino is top of everyone, but honestly I don't think even Pacino could of played as good as Ed Norton, unbelievable, I have seen this movie so many times and every time it is amazing how Ed Norton act, to me this is mount Everest of acting, and this was his first movie ?
Yeah, this was Norton's first Motion Picture and he killed it. This was an Oscar-worthy performance. I don't think anybody could have played it better, just different. DiCaprio comes to mind as an equal. Amazing talents! (:
