Yeaaah i can agree there are alot of moments that i have on the road that are not so glamorous. for example shipper last night loaded me and then drove an hour to a truck stop to weigh it out. ended up being overweight on my drives so i figured i'll adjust my tandems a bit and everything will be good right? well not exactly haha. Was even more overweight. so adjusted it again, and weighed. did this three more times before coming to the conclusion that the shipper put too much weight on the front. Luckily i'm a company driver and didn't have to pay a dime for the CAT Scale. Went back to shipper to rework the load. in the morning i finally weighed out legal. It was a headache for sure. 😂😂
Congratulations on meeting your goals and sticking to your plans! That's what is key to a happy life, being debt free is huge! Also, how do you like your roof tent? Is it comfortable and sturdy?
Thank you! I wanted to accomplish more by staying out on the road for longer. That’s why I constantly dwell on my time spent with family😅. But I do have to acknowledge the progress🙂. The roof tent was pretty good! There are bigger and better ones but I wanted that one so I could fit the bike on the roof as well. I’m 6’1’ so I was also worried I would be too tall for it but I fitted perfectly comfortable. Also, very sturdy, both the tent and the bike held up over 100mph constantly. The only drawback was the drop in fuel economy. About 4-5mpg.
I used to think the same way. Still do honestly. Objectively, taking nothing else into account but money and finances, yes. It is throwing money away. But unfortunately (or fortunately) money and finances are not the only things that play a role in the decisions we make. Some people have families to support, things to sort out before jumping at it, need more money to feel comfortable, etc. Others, like me, just have other goals/priorities. Being debt free was one of them. Now I move to the next priority. You don’t reap the benefits of lease purchase until the lease is paid off. Meaning it is a long term investment. I needed(or wanted) to take care of other stuff first. If I would’ve dumped all the money I dumped into my debt into a lease purchase truck id probably be ahead. But I cared most about being debt free. If I were to lose this job tomorrow or switch careers I’d be better off. Also, i will get “some” money back when I complete this lease and $1000 discount towards a Lease purchase truck for every year I leased. Meaning I can keep focusing the money I am currently making on other priorities and just use the lease completion money to get my lease purchase going. Maybe not the most efficient way, but not a bad one either😉
I find your RU-vid persona a bit cringy for my taste. Could you try toning it down or providing more direct information in your videos? Some of the long pauses and roundabout way of talking make it difficult to follow. im sure its annoying to most ppl.. you give of wierd vibes.. like you have strange search history on your labtop..you seem like that type
You are the weird one. The fact you felt the need to say all that, when you could of turned off the video, makes you VERY weird. I just know your life sucks.
