Awesome video. What a great place to hunt. For years me and my son hunted with traditional gear. First self bows we made were of Osage. Even made our metal heads for Port Orford shafts. Took a few whitetail and a muley with that set up. Your videos bring back some memories for sure. 👍👍
Great shot on that first sow Ryan.👌👏 Don’t apologise for your beautiful bow! The purists can pull their collective heads in and stop pontificating about it not being a true replica, bla, bla, bla. It looks the part and does the job admirably and YOU made it for yourself. I know all about the pleasure to be taken from hunting successfully with a self made weapon and filling the freezer. Nothing like it!👍😁
My blood is flowing just watching this video. We don't have many hogs in my area but it was awesome to watch you fellow woodsman take me on an adventure. Please, always remember to follow your nose Ryan and Vastin!
Amazing vid can you show us more about the bone point you used to finish off the other hog? Would love to see further testing of bone points on hogs!!!!
a pretty good while. It was cool this day so it wasn't a big deal to have them lay around for a few hours before cutting them up and throwing the meat in the freezer
Heh, I ran after an animal this hunting season and then over the next three hours my body sure let me know how NOT okay it was with my fat arse sprinting 😂
People may not find it palatable but imagine their reaction if u ran it off a cliff by lighting a forest fire how they used to do. If society had to go back to this for meat as a hole then there'd be millions of ppl starving getting more and more desperate til someone decides to find a cliff and bring back old methods.
