How do you clean and keep the shell iridescent? I found a lot of California mussels but no matter what I did their beautiful color started to fade, replaced by white. I tried some things that only made their color fade more.
Could you please remind me which video of yours had you pecking a rock with a piece of chert in your truck to slowly make a mortar over time? Thanks! Spencer
I think i have noticed it dulls the color but I have never tried it on steamed shells. You can often find mussel shells that are already broken or washed up on shore
