Human babies are born with in-built instincts. These are called primitive reflexes. Don't forget to turn subtitles on.
This is obviously a medical tribute to the amazing Primitive Technology channel: / @primitivetechnology9550

Turn the subtitles on! This is a tribute to the wonderful Primitive Technology channel, for those that are wondering why it's silent. Check out the sequel! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eu3-jApIS80.html

I am a second language reader. It is very difficult to read with the fast space. The scripts also cover sometimes what is shown. I would like a redo with sound.
@syber-space
@syber-space 4 года назад
@@alidaboettcher7376 You can read the transcript by clicking on the three dots and selecting "Open Transcript". It follows along with the video and shows timestamps. It should help significantly with reading at pace (though pausing works if needed).

Not *just* experiments - after the experiments are finished they make a nice snack (although a tad fatty)... and there's almost enough skin to make a pair of gloves. 'Kid" gloves, if you will (lol). h/t Jonathan Swift's _A Modest Proposal For preventing the Children of Poor People From being a Burthen to Their Parents or Country, and For making them Beneficial to the Publick_ (1729).

Brilliant video! My wife is about to have our third and I feel like I will savour those early months all the more for having watched this! Constructive crit if you're into it: I found the subtitles too fast! I'm sure its easy to underestimate someone's first-time read-speed when producing a video with words you've written yourself! Or I'm just dim as I scanned the top comments and nobody else seems to have mentioned it.
@MedlifeCrisis
@MedlifeCrisis 5 лет назад
No you're right they are faster than I'd have liked. I was doing a parody/tribute of another channel but he is very laconic in his subtitling and I had quite a lot to crowbar in! Thanks for the kind words!

Here via Tom Scott. I just finished watching _all_ of your videos (including the ads). Your videos are superb! I was laughing _and_ learning at the same time. 🤣 I loved the "Scrubs" intro, your stand-up routine was gold and your _Belter Creole_ was spot-on! But, the "Sherpa" video was my favorite. ❤ I subscribed, hit that 🔔 and am waiting for more! No pressure, though. I'd say _fiddling_ with people's hearts takes precedence over RU-vid. (Oh, I know you said you weren't monetized, but RU-vid played ads on several of your videos. I hope you'll be getting the proceeds. 💲)

Thanks for the cute baby and primitive reflexes. Asymmetric Tonic reflex: maybe it's related to hanging on mom's fur and facing in the direction of motion, or to find her face or nipple. Stepping reflex. My son on his first day did the automatic walking motion, a few days later his toes just dragged. Then there's the hand clap and most babies turn to the right (maybe you mentioned it. I don't know what it is called.) Forget about people who don't believe in evolution, what about all those people who find babies children boring? The swimming response. When my son was 5 months old I had him in the pool Mommy & Me class. Blow into the water, and all the babies almost drowned. An instructor of a different class said, use a ring or make a ring with your fingers, babies will blow into that. She was right.
