Prince was the type of guy who would go to an NY cafe for drinks and see a stage, then get on the stage and perform for the people there, and within 20 mins, everyone in the area would show up. And yes this happened. RIP legend.
@@justin15157 think about artists prince, michael jackson, elvis all died before there time after just finishing their primes, i think early death is very sad and i cried when prince died and cried for a week when michael died but in a way its better for their image, we never saw them wrinkle up and become old, like for example elton john is staring to i saw him few yrs ago his voice is badddd thats what he means i think, prince was so good he had to move on, gods plan, leave us witb the good images of him not the old one

Vanity aka Miss Denise Matthews was absolutely exotically and beautifully breath taking. She was way better looking than Prince and Prince knew that she was too. During her interviews years ago. She even said that she and Prince would always stare at one another,while they were dating. Prince was mesmerize by her Beauty. Prince journeyed on 2 months later after Denise passing. Probably from a broken Heart 💔of loosing his love for Denise Matthews. They were still in love with one another for many years. Rest In sleep to Prince & Vanity🌹🌹

I don't even know what the point of waiting for congratulations because he had a son was. I believe Arsenio did that on purpose because that's the only thing he has on Prince. He got a son, and Prince lost his son. Arsenio is a very envious and evil guy.
I live in Hawaii. One Saturday night some friends and I were out at a club just hanging out. And all of a sudden the dj stopped the music and all of a sudden we seen this guy hopped up on the bar and started jamming his guitar. At first everyone was like wth! But when everyone seen who it was the place went nuts! Was just cool to see someone at this caliber hanging out in the club and most of all getting up and performing and giving us a free show. Something I’ll never forget! This musical genius is truly missed!
One of the many things I always admired about Prince is that he always stayed "sweet" and "soft-spoken", and always thought about what he wanted to say. He always stayed true to himself and his music. I will miss Prince more than words can ever say!!

He was a true artist and musician. Few of them, must are performers which isn't a negative. He was the whole package, plus true to his fans and himself.
The fact he didn't want to be part of all the nonsense and wrongness smartphones and social media gave to humanity erasing the humanity and values on many levels, is truly respectful and admirable. I wish more people were in this like him, using their own mind, being strong characters, not just sheeps following the crowd, then I truly believe the way society pushes us it would actually have no or very low power over us. Prince was too intelligent to be part of the crowd and mass. For that he has all my respect.
One of the reasons he didn't have his own cell phone was because when he did have one, years ago, someone hacked into it and then had access to lots of personal information of his and his contacts. So he had about 6 different email addresses he used to communicate, no cell phone - but would call others from land lines, or use other people's cell phones, and was last using a burner phone that his friend/body guard Kurt Johnson had provided to him.
Michael was so lonely, sad , betrayed for everyone. He wanted love for everyone and peace . The world payback with pain and dead . Love Michael forever.
Observations: 1. Prince was too cool for school. What a talent, lost. 2. Arsenio's show was super good. I wish he were still on the air. He would be so much better than that current crap we're stuck with now.
Prince just exuded class, wit and intelligence from every pore. A true musical genius yet so humble and eager to learn from other great musicians. We were privileged to have had him on this Earth for 57 years, he has touched the lives of so many people and his legacy will live on forever. RIP Prince x
prince a small dude but everybody was intimidated by him. like whenever i see hosts or other celebrities interview him they would appear nervous and extremely respectful. we don't really have legends that command that type of respect anymore
The thing about “Prince” is he had class. He embodied so much: class, dignity, style, tact, humility, and talent that we simply don’t see anymore. He was not crude but sensual and sexy in a spiritual but raw way. The loss is the worlds.
I suggest that you go back and re-read your Prince lyric sheets. Either you have difficulty hearing or you don't understand what crude actually means. And that goes for the other 125 "likers" too!
I always got the impression that Prince was slightly uncomfortable with his fame. The way he reacts to the thundereous applause he received when he walked out and as he sat down with Arsenio....much loved, tragically missed.
I love how he "listen to other artists and in his mind he hears another arrangement not taking away any merit of that artist". A true respectful musical genius.
He grew up in the 1970s and 1980s when musicians had to know how to play instruments and arrange songs etc. Outside of using the Linn drum machine, I doubt if Prince used technology in a big way back then.
I'm 36 and just getting starting to dive into princes music for the first time in my life. His acoustic version/video of cream is what sent me down the path. Even being a guitar player, I never knew prince was such a great player.

My father loves your music and he has just about EVERY SINGLE ALBUM you released and I’m so thankful that he was such a fan of yours and that I was raised on your music and I got to learn about you! Your music has played a huge part on my life. I wish I could’ve had the honor of seeing you perform live in concert. Your energy and your music is truly magical man. Prince, so soft spoken and intelligent, always thinking carefully about any question before answering. On stage he was pure kinetic force, dancing like no one else, seemingly able to play any instrument ever created, and vocal performances that were pure passion. But when people sat down with him he was gentle, almost shy. Could have been anything he wanted to be, became a musical genius that inspired many generations, and will continue to inspire countless generations still to come. If there is a God out there, Prince was one of his messengers: just like the greatest composers of the past, Bach and Handel, you can hear the touch of the divine in his music. RIP Your Royal Badness. I still can't believe you're gone. You were the embodiment of cool, and you'll always be my hero. Thank you so much for teaching a white kid from Europe all about the funk. I'm not going to lie, when he said congratulations for Arsenio having a son, I just felt a little sad that Prince never got the chance to raise any children of his own.
I felt that too. But I also think Arsenio purposely made that "Freudian Slip" as a means to subtly jab at Prince for all those times he was on the show but NEVER sat down to an interview. You know Arsenio can be "Petty" like that and hold a grudge. I felt like he also set him up in that "Audience Participation" portion of the show as well. Trying to make him come off as Weird or "Out of the loop". Arsenio is an Asshole by all respects to me. The only thing I respect him for is making this interview "Happen".

I respect your comment but I don't think he ever held a grudge towards Prince; I doubt Prince would even agree to do this or show love to Arsenio if he felt like Arsenio wasn't being true. Plus, Arsenio has always talked about his son and fatherhood while the reboot show was on so it was normal for him to bring it up. Just seeing interviews from his friends, Prince wouldn't do anything he didn't want to do and it didn't come off as if he was "weird" or anything. I think they were good cordial friends. I really appreciate Arsenio because he didn't have to give Prince literally the entire show or let Liv Warfield perform. Again, I respect your thoughts, these are just mine.

I mean I've seen almost every piece of footage available on Prince since his "Passing" and I can't say with any kind of justifiable certainty that Arsenio was ever a Snake towards Prince. But he CAN be an ASSHOLE just like "Purple Haze". It wasn't my intention to fly off all half cocked about it. But it certainly was careless to say the least.

Todd Rundgren has made several one man records writing all the music, playing all the instruments, producing and engineering. He did this already in the early seventies. I'm sure Prince was aware of his work.
Steven Wilson is a great artist that's been around for 20 years in the prog rock community. He's does a lot of one-man band projects as well as move through and lead several different metal bands and collaborative genre bands. He actually has a great cover of Sign O' The Times on youtube, I saw him perform it live and he talked at length beforehand about how influential Prince was in his life and music, despite him being exclusively a metal musician for the first decade of his career.
I met Prince and Larry Graham back in 2005. Both were so kind! Prince was so chill and humble. I’m so honored to have had the chance to meet him❤️ such amazing souls..him and Larry both! Broke my heart the day I found out he passed.
