Prince was a WHOLE nother vibe!!! No one else like him. I've always said, Michael Jackson was like Bill Cosby telling jokes, the whole family could listen. Prince was more like Richard Pryor, you had to wait until the kids fell asleep to listen to him. If Prince made a song called Beat It, it would have taken on an entirely different meaning Lol
He came to an after concert party in Phillly. He stayed afterwards and went upstairs to a roped-off section. They allowed fans upstairs and all I did was stare at him for hours in one spot. I did not move! Was it creepy? Yes, it was. Did I care? No, I did not!!! OMG. The excitement! 💜🧨🪀🎶
Lol... 😅 Prince got the young lady blushing. You better be careful with that Prince. Prince will have you and hubby adding another newborn to the household.
As Stevie Wonder said when he died, Prince was the Emperor of music. When Stevie Wonder, who is one of the all time greats, gives a compliment like that, you know that is among the highest compliments a musician can get!
I would say, they don't make music like this anymore, but no one has ever made music like this, except Prince. Pure genius! A LOT of babies were made to this Jam. He wears make up and heels and will take your woman!
" If for any reason there's a loss in cabin pressure, I will automatically drop down to apply more!!!" Say...lol...These are the songs i use ta have playing in the background, while talking to girls on the phone...lol...#OlSkool #Macaroni 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There is no other way around it. To get the FULL pre- Purple Rain experience, You have to listen to the entire 1999 album in it's entirety. It will rock your socks off. Raise your eyebrows. Leave you in stitiches. And if you have a wife who never heard it before, be prepared for her to suggest you call up your boys and go do something with them for the rest of that evening. This album laid the ground work as to why dudes would tell you, NEVER have your woman accompany you in the prescence of Prince. All he had to do was say hello, and she would be lost. LOST...
Prince doesn’t deserve A playlist, he deserves multiple playlists. You can do it by eras or his slow jams versus funky, versus up beat. In high school I had a first three albums cassette and a slow jams cassette. If you liked this you will truly appreciate “Do Me Baby, “ from an earlier album.
Prince!! Man!! He was Iconic and a Musical Treasure. He did it his way! He also gave opportunities to a lot of honest. He was comfortable in who he was, so he wasn't afraid to share his platform and his formula. A musical genius in my book. And....THIS SONG!! FIRE!!!!
Listening to Prince is a vibe in and of itself, but seeing him perform live, which I was fortunate enough to have done several times, is something that sticks with you forever. His concerts are unmatched.
I was 11 when I first heard this album and I still play it from start to finish often. Unlike anything I had ever heard. Yes, Prince is his own category 💜
Prince was a musical genius who played up to 27 different instruments, had his own label, Paisley Park, wrote songs for other artists and discovered many artists like, The Time, Vanity 6, Sheila E, and more. There will never be another like the Purple One!!💖💖🔥🔥
Girl you better preview all these songs B4 you get behind the wheel of your car. Don't want to be distracted. Don't say you weren't warned. Next time you fly....Fly Prince International. #yesthisiswhatwashappeningbackintheday
I am 1 year younger than what Prince would have been (64) and most definitely his biggest fan always!! I still have this album and played it EVERYDAY when I got home after work🤗🤗😍😍💃💃
I'm sorry no one informed you that it's a rule that you need a red light ,candles and silk sheets while playing this song. Rules were broken, but we forgive you this one time.
You have to do a reaction to the song by Prince called "SHHH" AND DO A COMPARISON VIDEO to the original version by Tevin Campbell .. Prince made a lot of songs for other people, but he took them back and redo them the way he wanted them to sound..
Funny enough, this song was ment for the time and as a matter of fact,he did the demo where is having fun in the studio with Morris on the drums you can found it on RU-vid,"International Lover Take 1" but he decided to keep it for himself, hence the different take on the song which has a more sexy feel to it
@@New_Czarthe Purple Rain tour was cool (I was living in Europe at the time). I worked his Dirty Mind show in Ann Arbor (University of Michigan) when I was in college and saw him again for his Controversy and 1999 tours. He had a special relationship with Detroit. #WhatUpDoe
Man do I miss this beautiful man! I am a massive fan of his, have been since 1982 when I was 13. He has always fascinated me. He is so yummy to look at too. He is the only man who could wear 4 inch heels and still take your girl from you! 😂💜
I was a huge MJ fan and my friend told me about Prince and said he was better than MJ. I didn't believe him and then he played "Head" and "Dirty Mind." I was in shock and couldn't believe what I was hearing, but I was hooked. He was already three albums in at that point and I made sure to listen to all of them. I was 8 at the time and have been a huge fan ever since. Every year on the anniversary of his passing, my Facebook profile picture becomes one of Prince. There'll never be another like him.
The best thing about Prince in the beginning was EVERYTHING on the record was him..even Prince bass Prince drums which each have their own signature sound... like total immersion who else could do it all like this. And write for others. And dance like James Brown
I've been trying to tell the world since the beginnings 8TRACK player days of PRINCE this particular album was my beginning "FOR YOU" I've been a fan 8TRACK day's "SOFT and WET"! During my AFRO era that I still I'm definitely rocking underneath my braids still going strong I would like to say. I was there🤓👌🏽 my 1st PRINCE The Controversy World *(Grace Jones) was supposed to be the opening act Tour, 1999 World Tour with VANITY 6 and THE TIME, *(🔮 DIRTY MIND was my personal 🌌) "PURPLE RAIN" long before the storm of fair weather fans, PURPLE RAIN ☔, LOVESEXY 88, MUSICOLOGY, 🙏🏽ESSENCE FESTIVAL 😇✌🏽

Did you hear him when he said.. "If any reason there's a loss in calibration, I will automatically drop down to apply more!!! " sexual inuindos off the charts!!!
😂😂😂😂😂 Prince was a teacher, no a Professor for shy teens like myself in the 80's. 😂😂😂😂😂 this is the song that made Shelia E take notice of Prince, according to her.
Back in the day it was custom for fellas around my way to have a "Prince tape" All of his slow songs on one cassette tape for those occasions you had a female over. All you had to do was pop in the tape and let it do its work!
I’m one of those secret watchers who watch and share your videos with my wife and kids. We lived through all these songs and we absolutely LOVE your channel and reactions. Keep doing what you do. You are amazing
I knew Prince. He was funny , cool and yes sexy . I love your reactions 😊 Just so u know his nick name was Rude Boy for a while. He even had pins with that name on it . #peaceandstaywild
I was 12 years old when I heard this song!!!! He was sex in voice and dance!! Miss U Prince 💜💜💜🕊️🕊️ I would like to request a reaction to Prince- Revelation from his last studio album Hit And Run ! Please and thank U! 💜💜💜
Ashley I Love Your Reactions to the Grown and Sexy lol, Amazing . I am from the 70s, the 80s, and 90s, i know all of the grown n sexy redlight music jams and the history of the artists. Example Ready for the World was discovered by Prince. Prince discovered morris day and the time, alexander oneal. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis from the time, kept going to atlanta to produce the SOS Band, Prince told Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis that he wanted them to focus on The Time Band, they Refused so prince kicked them out of the Time group. So Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis left Minneapolis and went back to Atlanta and Produced The Classic Band SOS Band. True Story. I Know a Lot about the stories behind the Grown and Sexy. Get at me Ashley , for the grown and Sexy from the 70,80,and 90s. Lets network
VERY VERY GOOD CHOICE OF SONGS TO COVER. One of the greatest songs / performances of anything ever. The Artist in top form. This is inhuman and illustrative of some kind of connection to something that he can transport OTHER people to. What a way to draw you into music.
I agree with Greg Cummings... 2 me & in my humble opinion, 1 of the biggest, hugest difference's b-tween MJ & Prince & a easy way 2 explain is that MJ 's music was directed 2-ward's those mainly under 18yrs of age... MJ's music was rated PG & rated G side of thing's 😏😏😏 & then u had Prince at the other end of the spectrum, directing his music 2 those who were 18yrs old & older pushing the envelope on the rated R & rated X side of thing's with a few handfuls of getting straight 2 the point of thing's & as much flirtation as 1 could take with very vivid, very clear , very descriptive & masterfully written lyric's... with a whole & complete rage with his vocals that take a strong hold & grip on u that just does not let 1 💯🔥😎😏😏😏
This song lost to MJ Billie Jean for best vocal performance by a male for a grammy. Music critics knew prince was Robbed throughout the nite because it was MJ Thriller. Also The The media believed he was too controversial.
Prince has a song called leaving for New York it's the original prince that we were introduced to. But funkadelic has a song called promentalshitbackwashpsychosi s enema squad this gave birth to the prince we've come to know
I played all his albums with headphone on for full experience. At 15, my mother dropped me off to his venue without a clue what I was about to witness. She ended up stealing all my Prince records for her own consumption. The man was a monster; a business and musical genius packing mind blowing sensuality. On another note, they did him wrong for his masters. I read his family got took, as folk who purchased his masters had been connected to people around him before his death. They purchased the masters from the estate cheap. It ended up the IRS valued the sale at half the true value of the masters, of course they wanted their full share in taxes. I imagine the family is on the hook for that.
